Kitchen nightmares cramped in too tight format
Compaired to kitchen nightmares this series moves too fast and looses some of its original appeal . The 24 hours deadline does not make up for this .
Lets face it , Gordon Ramsay throwing rotten food at a lousy "chef " is still very entertaining , hehe .
In some episodes u wonder if owners should be helped , but then u need get creative and find some employee-s that are likable so u can hope they can keep their jobs , as to keep some kind of intrest in a good outcome.
All in all this should really be rated clearly lower then the kitchen nightmare series UK and US .

Tune out of u r a fan
Tune out of you are or were a fan of Kitchen Nightmares or Hotel Hell. Gordo has jumped the shark and is clearly on the downside of his Hollywood career. The concept of this show is gimmicky and the show doesn't draw you in and make you feel anything for the subjects of each episode. To be frank, the show sucks and it looks like Gordo is chasing another cable TV bum Mr. Jake Taffer from Bar Rescue. Think about it, besides cosmetics and a new menu, how much can you really change the psychology of a restaurant in 24 hours, especially when they are sleep deprived? In conclusion, watch something else.
Great, typical Gordon at his best
Great show, not sure on releases for each show as it doesn't seem to be weekly at the moment. But gripping and sometimes emotional. Gordon holds no punches as he lays down the failings of these businesses. But then builds them up again. Each show I find I have to google the restaurant to see how it's doing now. Love it!
28 days would be better
It has everything you love about Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell. I would love to see Gordon work with a restaurant for a month. He does so much great stuff in one day but you can't change peoples bad habits that quick.

Yes
It is good but the same thing happens every episode, they finish the renovation in the nick of time, everything is going well opening night, and bam the food going to the food critic/blogger goes awry.

Scripted But not a trainsmash
I didnt think it was too bad, scripted and rushed but good nevertheless. I feel like there was an element missing however. Maybe that element will reveal itself in later episodes.

Loved it
I really enjoy this show! I wish there was more emphasis on the recipes and showing the kitchen staff learning them but I understand the drama of the staff also needs to create a buzz.
Fun but not my favourite Ramsay show
Being a huge Gordon Ramsay show of course I watched 24 Hours to Hell and Back. Was it my favourite format for one of his shows? No, it wasn't?
Was it still enjoyable? Of course it was.
The whole show was exhausting just watching it.
I'm not sure if its all that believable. Are you legally allowed to work your staff that long? Isn't it dangerous under those conditions?
Did they sign some kind of waiver to do so?
The mind actually boogles.
I'd be curled up in a corner under a chair after 10 hours regardless of if Gordon was going to come yell and scream at me, actually the idea of that excites me. Lol.
Unlike Kitchen Nightmares, its not a show I would bother rewatching.

Kitchen Nightmares was better
This show seems hastily produced and rushed. I understand the 24 hours thing but Kitchen Nightmares and Robert Irvine's 'Restaurant Impossibe' were much better. I hope this gets better because my wife and I love to watch Ramsey on Hell's Kitchen.
Awesome!
This one is my favorite show of his!
I don't agree that it's the same thing every episode, the purpose of the show is to do one thing (saving restaurants), making that the only thing the same. The people make it different every episode. Some are great, some are buttholes, some seem like buttholes but don't end up really being that way. 😂
Love it!

Sweary Ramsay
Yes Chef!
Ramsay takes on more nightmare restaurants in a tv sensational series as he swears his way through the hours.
He shows. Tenderness while slapping his palm against the back of his hand, simplifying every menu in black T-shirt and whites as he is in the kitchen.
It's the same formula as nightmares and the other shows as he swears his way across an hour, if you have seen one chef Ramsay story, you have seen them all.
It makes you wonder what is the motivation for restaurants wanting to appear on the show? Is it to get a free makeover or to appear on a reality show for some free publicity and a makeover done quickly and cheaply- like a Vegas hotel that will collapse if knocked, the knock test being the gold standard of quality.

Too scripted
I wanted to like this new series as I remember GR doing series in the U.K. maybe 15 years ago. But, this appears to be so scripted and "fake". Maybe it will get better but show lost it's place on the DVR. I have a hard time understanding how with editing tv shows just can't hold their audience, at least make me want to watch the next episode.

Great! But...
It's an awesome show and I enjoy watching, but the original Kitchen Nightmares was way better! I don't understand why they would change the formula that worked so well. It's basically the same show, but done in 24 hours, which basically just makes the whole thing seem rushed and it loses its original charm.

Great refreshed Gordon show!
Glad they were able to reinvent a newer version of Kitchen Nightmares. The truck was just the icing on the cake. A food truck on steroids!!!

Entertaining
Another great show with Gordon Ramsey, he not only has to be a family counselor but also has to get there cooking in order. Definitely recommend for some good tv entertainment.

Not as good as previous shows of a similar format.
I very much enjoyed Kitchen Nightmares back when it launched in the UK, the US version wasn't quite as good but still an enjoyable albeit heavily Americanized watch. I also enjoyed Hotel Hell, it took the format that step further by adding more depth thanks to its larger focus, stepping outside of the kitchen.
24 Hours to Hell and Back is a step back from the earlier shows, the focus is more on a gimmick rather than actually taking the time to explore a business and its owners and help resolve the issues they're having. By comparison it feels very scripted, and frankly a little soulless.
I watched through the first 5 episodes in hope things would get better, or to see if I was perhaps biased against the new show format. Unfortunately my opinion didn't change, if anything it became more steadfast.

Ignore the poor reviews, this show is terrific
People saying it's scripted, poorly made or fake. No, this is a great show, genuine restaurant owners and honest staff. I've got to admit Ramsey is a born leader. He has an A star tram behind him and must have very advanced planners creating the new decor.
The format is usually the same, which is fine.
It's great entertainment.

Wow, I'm not sure what to say.....
It was not horrible, nor was it great, but it seemed more of the same as it was basically, "Kitchen Nightmares" but with the lame twist of having only 24 hours to revamp an eatery. Things seemed rushed, people MUST have been very tired doing this overnight.
The set up of the show is that a failing eatery is supposedly being filmed for renovation, but unknown to them, Gordon Ramsay, is really doing his typical Kitchen Nighmare show instead. When they revealed it was actually Gordon, there was not much surprise shown, and the entire show seemed a bit set up and fake in some ways.
Maybe the idea is just getting old, or maybe it never was all that real to begin with, but the drama seems way over the top, and everything comes together too well in most of these shows. Not a lot of finesse and just comes off seeming staged a bit.
Gotta love Gordon
Yes it's not as great as Kitchen Nightmares but it's still Gordon so it's still the same premise.

Working for over 24 hours straight is ridiculous!
Not a fan of this 24 hour format.
Lets start by saying when Gordon goes to these restaurants the staff have already been working for a few hours already (Lunch is in full swing) - THEN they have to stay and clean and cook for ANOTHER 24 hours. So these people are working non stop for about 28 hours?!? - They would be dead on their feet by the time the next service is happening and no help to anyone.
Just go back to the regular Kitchen Nightmares format, which was about 3-5 days. Its more believable and you dont get all these questions about the silly countdown clock

don't mess with what works!
I've enjoyed Kitchen Nightmares since the earliest British episodes (that was a very different show, GR much calmer and more constructive); and the format tweaks in the new series represent a considerable 'improvement for the worse'. The false jeopardy of doing the shows in 24 hours makes the whole thing seem frantic, and there is no chance to assess what has happened - for either the restaurant or the viewer. Visiting the restaurant in disguise is a stupid gimmick; it's not as though restaurants in previous series had been able to deceive GR about the quality of the food! I'm only thankful he didn't try to do the accent.
I feel as Coke fans probably felt when they changed the formula: something I thought I could rely on has let me down.

Reality cr*p at its worst
As Bette Davis once said - "What a dump!" - and that perfectly describes this show. A dump dumping on a dump.
G Ramsay has the personality of a pit bull and a rottweiler. And the show is so contrived and scripted it's absolutely unbelievable that the show has lasted this long. The Jan. 7, 2020 show is my first and last viewing.
About 15 or 20 years ago I ate at this restaurant and it was a dump then. Nothing can be transformed in 24 hours to be the wonderful eating establishment the show claims it has become due to the 'Ramsay' effect.
Barf.
