- TriviaMichele Wolf sought after in part due to the uptick in her popularity after her controversial performance at the White House Correspondents' Dinner in April of 2018. At that dinner she roundly excoriated Donald Trump, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and a press upon whose laziness and craven need for Internet-era relevance she directly placed blame for Trump's ascension. Her performance could well be responsible for the White House Correspondents Association's decision to change the format in subsequent dinners, replacing the comedian with a staid historical commentator.

I actually watched the show. A couple initial thoughts...
FIRST AND FOREMOST, this show is hilarious! It's a one-two-punch style comedy with funny, admittedly semi-low budget skits, a great segment called "How Honest Are You?", and a fabulous monologue which Wolf delivers with grace.
That being said, if you are a staunch conservative or un-self-aware white man, this show is not for you.
This is a very recent show, so there's obviously room for improvement. The delivery could be a little better and a few of the segments are not super funny (for example, "Goofs" was questionable to me. It was pretty obvious that it was scripted; why pretend that it's not?) BUT most of the show is truly funny! Yes, her voice is high pitched, but it delivers some of the best jokes I've seen on TV as of recently.
Upon reflection, it seems pretty obvious to me that a lot of people reviewing here haven't actually watched the show, and are reacting to Michelle Wolf's correspondence dinner speech and simply the fact that she is a woman unapologetic for her mannerisms. A lot of the complaints are about her voice (sure, it's high pitched, but y'all still deal with Gilbert Gottfried, Ray Romano, and Roseanne) or how "crass" she is. But these "crass" jokes are often geared towards what it's like to be a woman, such as the Me Too movement and rape whistles, and as a human female person, a lot of these jokes are actually really funny and relatable.
Give this show a shot! I hope they streamline it a little bit over time, but it's definitely worth a watch.
