I give the movie a 5 just because I loved the first one. I feel as if Elizabeth's character should not have been so much complaining the wedding should have been about both there parents an not so much about her an so being complex. But all in all it work out at the end. It needs to be a part three Titling "The Darcy's Honeymoon" .
I knew from the beginning that this was going to be a dud. There was no romance at all but drama and silly drama! I could barely get through it.

Loved "Unleashing Mr Darcy", and eagerly awaited this sequel. Rather disappointed. The writing was rather lame. direction was too loose. At the end of several scenes, the conversations just died. Lizzy just sits there and grins foolishly. No comeback from her or toward Aunt Violet!
Frances Fisher's character lacks credibility. Aunt Violet would not have given in and accepted Lizzy so easily, even to get back into Donovan's good graces. Given her scheming in the first movie, she would have done more to squeeze Lizzy out! This conflict would have created some much needed tension among the main characters and stirred up some more interest.
Also, Lizzy's(Cindy's) voice in many scenes is too loud and shrill, such as during the video call with her mother and sister Jenna.. They were giggling like a bunch of teenage schoolgirls and Lizzy's voice was almost like a screech.
The only one who seems true to his character is Donovan(Ryan Paevey). At times, he looks like he is wondering what is going on and how he got there.
One last criticism! For an educated man, Donovan's poor grammar in one scene is glaring! When talking to Henry in his office one evening, he states he wants the "honeymoon to be about Elizabeth and I." Any elementary school student understands "about" is a preposition and takes the objective form of what follow. i.e., He should have referred to "Elizabeth and ME."
The movie did start off on a good note, literally. The dance scene on the rooftop terrace was the best in the movie. The music was romantic and their closeness reflected their love and caring. I was disappointed that there wasn't more of that tenderness and romance.
I really enjoyed the first movie. However, this movies seemed like Elizabeth did nothing but complain, complain and complain and everything was about her. A wedding should be both people providing wedding details and Elizabeth did not want to hear from Darcy or anyone else. I rate this movie a 2 to compare a 9 for the first sequel.
Nice sequel to Unleashing Mr. Darcy. When the movie first started, I wondered where the dramatic tension would come from but, as the train pulled out of the station, it was a good ride. Everyone (dogs included) does a good job driving the story. One small quibble is that the locations are obviously in B.C. not NYC. But that's not surprising for Hallmark nor really a complaint.

This is the first Hallmark sequel that has been worth watching. I have eagerly waited for this one with some degree of anxiety, and was somewhat pleased with their offering. The return of the original cast was a plus with one exception.
The worst part of the original was the "aunt Violet" character over played by Francis Fisher. Near the end of the first film we got rid of her.
To my dismay she returned in this sequel to spoil things again.
This story had enough conflict without her annoying trouble-making, and over playing the role. If Francis Fisher just had to be in this one she should have had no more than 3 lines max. It was more than obvious that in every scene with Cindy she tried to steal the show. The time saved by leaving her out could have better been spent on the romance itself. Ryan and Cindy are both great and have onscreen magic together. Our leads needed more "magic" like they had in the first one. Over all a good movie but it could have been a 10. my score 7

When I saw the first film I thought it was decent and good, but after watching the sequel I can honestly say I much prefer this film compared to the first film. Elizabeth and Donovan have a much better relationship and although there were still a few bumps, their love and relationship grew more stronger because of it. Aunt Violet is back and it was so annoying and wrong of her to take complete control over the wedding. In the end though, Elizabeth and Donovan got married in exactly the kind of wedding Elizabeth first imagined and in the end they finally get their long awaited happily ever after.

6.5 stars.
Well this is about as entertaining as a bucket of dirt. A bunch of hoity toity rich people in New York City slowly adapt to this lower class gal is going to marry their precious Darcy and be a part of the same family with a condescending matriarch. This is totally unrecognizable from the first installment of the two films. As a sequel it is literally in a different universe completely. The whole attitude from the first movie is gone. Now we are dealing with her personality changing, she transforms into a totally different person. He, on the other hand, is the same dry guy and yet he's also different. I don't see how two adults their age could change so drastically in appearance, personality, and everything that goes with it. This is not even a sequel in the usual sense, because nobody is the same are they? Maybe the first one was so forgettable I don't recall, and I don't care, just trying to get this review done for my own future review so I make sure not to watch this again. But it was better than the first.

Expectations were mixed to not high for 'Marrying Mr Darcy'. Did like the idea, have liked Ryan Paevey in other things (though he has been in his fair share of average or less films) and Hallmark did have some good films in 2018. They also though did do a fair share of mediocre and worse ones though, this reviewer has not been crazy about most of the June Weddings films and am also not a fan of Cindy Busby (finding her range limited and many of her characters unappealing).
'Marrying Mr Darcy' didn't work for me. The idea (Hallmark meets 'Pride and Prejudice') was charming, the way it was executed was the opposite and for pretty much the same reasons as has been cited already elsewhere. As far as the 2018 Hallmark films go, 'Marrying Mr Darcy' is one of the weakest in my view. While Paevey acquits himself quite well, this is a classic example of why Busby's Hallmark performances generally don't do it for me. Hallmark has always varied when it comes to sequels, this is one of the bad ones instead of the left me pleasantly surprised ones.
There are by all means good things. Paevey does his upmost best bringing an unforced natural charm and honesty to his role, the only halfway decently written one in the film.
Also thought that the production values were nice. Especially the scenery, which is beautiful. Some pleasant moments in the soundtrack and the dogs are absolutely adorable.
However, this reviewer is in complete agreement with Elizabeth being absolutely intolerable here, selfish, whiny, childish and full of herself in a classic example of having nothing but negative traits and exaggerating them. Busby also came over as far too hammy, her expressions, body language, voice and attitude are all overdone and she comes over as stiff too. She and Paevey have no chemistry in sight, very turning up in sight with little rehearsal-like, and the relationship felt underdeveloped and not focused on enough. Frances Fisher's character is caricaturish and annoying and Fisher over-compensates. In fact, excepting Paevey who actually seems to know what kind of film he's meant to be in, the film is over-acted and like the actors had been told to be in parody mode. Only Paevey's character and the dogs are likeable of the characters, though his character did frustrate towards the end when he came over as confused and naive.
Furthermore, the script is every bit as cheesy as a cheeseburger and sugary than a cup of tea with too much sugar and doesn't flow very naturally. Some of the argumentative dialogue came over as overripe and overkill in how much there was. Didn't mind too much that the story was formulaic, though there is absolutely no originality here (just your typical Hallmark weddings film with no variation), did mind that it felt forced a lot and dragged a lot from padding out material that was too thin for the length. The final quarter is as contrived as one can get and the ending was far too neat, one of those instances where a different ending was rooted for.
Concluding, weak. 3/10.

I did not quite like the first movie because of Elizabeth, then now Im watching this second one, I am so annoyed of Elizabeth. I hate this person in the movie and it turns to I dont want to see her in any movies anymore. This is my first time ever doing a movie review. Really disappointed of Elizabeth.

Ugh... Elizabeth Bennett was never as whiny and immature as this Elizabeth. Hard to watch. So much for portraying a strong independent woman.

I am glad that they made a sequel to Unleashing Mr. Darcy. I like that they forgave his aunt and the family was restored again with her.
In Pride and Prejudice both parents were alive and she had more than one sister however this is a modern version with a twist in it.
I liked it. I hope they make another sequel to it and this time her sister gets married or is and maybe add children to it.
As usual the dogs were adorable.

Elizabeth came off as spoilt and silly in this sequel, constantly pouting and nitpicking. Imagine having a hissy fit because your fiance didn't disclose that he was working overtime so he could take a month off to take you on a round the world honeymoon! And fussing even more because you were afraid to stand up for yourself and get the wedding that you always dreamed about. I just wished the writers would have done better with her storyline. Poor Donovan had the patience of Job in this one!
I absolutely hated the main female character. She was a spoiled, self-centered, egotistical brat. She's marrying into a well-to-do family and she expects everything to stay the same as before?? Also, I don't see how this couple progressed into a loving couple? They are always at odds with each other and he's always left to compromise. Also, her teeth were the color of her hair. I never trust someone who's hair & teeth match. Can we have another movie where he divorces her & she is left in shambles?
I liked the content of this movie. Worth watching. Better then most. Ryan Paevey is a good actor, believable. It would have been better if Cindy busby wasn't in it. She forces her acting, stiff not relaxed.

This movie needed more romance and tenderness. This couple has chemistry and it was not utilized.
I hope the honeymoon will be scenic and romantic. The little sister needs personality. I thought she was 12. Loved the music choices.
I watched the prequel and this movie and was happy when they were over. Usually Hallmark does a good job but IMO there was ZERO chemistry between the leading actors. Would have been a great movie with other actors in the lead
