I was hoping that the trilogy would have a strong ending but something just... feels off. I watched the English dub and while I liked the voice acting + animation, the movie somehow fumbles the positive elements to end up feeling stale. It just doesn't have that extra sauce.
As for the titular showdown, not much of a fight really; for how it was built-up. You will see what I mean immediately. The build-up itself was intense and stressful... until the screecher in the ship, and then it was just stressful. Since this trilogy likes it's exposition, you will hear every element of the scene narrated with excruciating detail, like an action-adventure Sesame Street to make sure we're following along.
The religious & philosophical elements could have been better. They delve into themes that leave open-ended answers and pose interesting dilemmas but because the characters and plot are not well-developed, the outcomes feel shallow/unearned and there's no emotional tether. I guess this was doomed from the first movie and I commend them for trying something darker.
The Hawk Tuah... I mean Houtua are just kinda there now, underutilized until needed for saucy scenes. Not what I meant by extra sauce but I won't complain.
The movie feels like it's trying to make a statement but it's just lost in translation and ends with a poof and not the bang it thought it was.
