A movie which had great potential ruined itself by taking a drastic U-Turn
Story and Screenplay: It set up the movie well and had great potential. but all of that wasted and the movie ruined itself during the second half.
The entire screenplay is to convey a message in a powerful and self introspective way. But the way it messed with a genre after setting up to be a different genre ruined the entire movie.
Acting: The acting was below par in some areas due to the fact as it seemed they tried to fake the realism and it turned out to faker than fake
Background:Score: The music was not even noticeable as it had nothing new or unique. it didn't even sync with some scenes.
Conclusion: A movie which changed its direction mid way after it displayed lot of potential. during the first half.

Story diluted to the point of no return
Gripping Screenplay
Based on a simple idea of breaking a small traffic rule. Screenplay, bgm, characters were just fabulous, but still it feels like the story could've been more stronger.
Started off really well, but...
The story started off really well. I loved the first half as it was both engaging and thrilling. But somewhere around the middle it took a u-turn and turned into a ghost story, which in my opinion made the last part of the movie much worse than it could have been.
I still think it's worth a watch, both for the first half and for the great acting by all of the main actors. Another plus point is the lack of songs and separate comedy track. This helped keeping the pace of the movie, as even the second half was quite tight packed and fast paced.
Overall raing: 6,5/10

A simple but effective thriller-horror
The genre of the movie is thriller cum horror. It is a thriller till first half and slowly converts into horror towards the end. The suspense is average and one can easily guess it.
It is a well balanced film. Initial thrill is balanced against romance. There is a subliminal love triangle here. Horror in the later part is balanced against emotions.
The editing keeps the film taut and songs have been done away with. Acting by all is above par.
Overall , the film is one time self watch plus one time watch with your very dear one.

Well, very good... Good final plot twists...
The plot of mystery is great, the development fails a little, Indian productions with some constancies sound unnatural, even when they deal with the supernatural, there's a lack of naturalness, but this is a great example of mystery and suspense, the flaws are not compromise, except for the most demanding moviegoers... Well, very good... Good final plot twists...

U Turn
Superb Movie. Samantha and everybody acted very well in the movie. The movie was very interesting and thrilling. There are many twists and turns in the movie. The 1st half in the movie was so interesting but the 2nd half in the movie bored a bit but later the movie went interesting. The movie has a good message.

*A Thrilling Ride with Uneven Terrain*
U-Turn is a psychological thriller that initially captivates with its intriguing premise and builds suspense effectively. However, the film's potential is somewhat undermined by its uneven pacing and predictable plot twists.
The film revolves around Rachana, an intern journalist who investigates a series of accidents on a flyover. Taking a wrong turn, she finds herself entangled in a mysterious web of events, leading to a shocking accusation. Samantha Akkineni delivers a commendable performance as Rachana, effectively portraying her character's transformation from a curious journalist to a terrified victim.
The first half of the film is undeniably gripping. The suspense is palpable, and the cinematography adds to the eerie atmosphere. The director skillfully builds tension, keeping the audience engaged.
However, the second half loses momentum as the plot becomes increasingly convoluted and predictable. The supernatural elements introduced later in the film feel out of place and don't quite gel with the overall tone.
The film's technical aspects are commendable. The cinematography is well-executed, contributing to the suspenseful atmosphere. The background score is effective in enhancing the emotional impact of certain scenes.
The climax reveals the true culprit behind the accidents: a vengeful spirit seeking retribution for the death of her child due to reckless driving. This supernatural twist, while unexpected, didn't quite land as it felt rushed and underdeveloped.
While U-Turn starts with a promising premise and delivers a few thrilling moments, it ultimately falls short of its potential. The film's uneven pacing and predictable plot twists hinder its impact. Despite the strong performance by Samantha Akkineni, the film's overall execution leaves something to be desired.

Racy!
The movie starts off slow and accelerates in a great speed and let's us walk out for interval with so many confusions in mind. The second half unveils the suspense in an interesting manner. The movie is full of twists and turns even till the climax, you may guess a very few if you are a frequent thriller watcher. Actors have done their role perfectly, we could feel Aadhi as a familiar character because his character in this movie reminds of his character on Eeram. Samantha Akkineni has done a wonderful job with the character, and has showed so much emotions. Her makeover elevates her character. Cinematography is great through out the movie. No songs in the movie is a great plus because it would have been a speed breaker in the racy ride. Over all this movie is worth watching. Enjoy the magic in theatres.

It was all good until they took a U-turn
The story starts just as we expect from an Indian film(of any language ). Rachna and Aditya loves each other. But their story is way better than usual tamil/telugu films. And I actually liked it. Then rachna visits Shankar's flat for an interview. Shankar is found dead the same day and police calls her for enquiry. Then they find something schoking(I won't revealed it). At that point, film was at top, it could have gone anywhere. Sadly after interval, it went only down hill.
It was so interesting plot. But in the end, turns out to be a ghost/spirit story. This is the problem with Indian supernatural thrillers, they can't have a story without spirits in it. Second half was predictable. There's no chills and thrill. Also, the idea to add horror element failed.
If I am to divide the film into two parts, I would call the first half great and second half a below average one.

A tad bit disappointed
Although the movie started out well, paving way to chilling thrills, the climax ends up disappointing you. The message of civic sense, however, was well conveyed and delivered.

Well etched out thriller
It was a well etched out thriller and kept us glued to our seats till the last half an hour, but did not like last half an hour, as it made us feel like regular movie. Costumes and acting of Samantha could have been better, but acting of Adukalam Naren and Adhi was too good!

unexpectedly good
Woahh. that was one heck of a movie. Was not expecting that at all. The filmmakers should seriously pat themselves on the back for a job well-done. and it contains such a good message. The message of "what goes around comes back" is highlighted very well, some were calling it cheesy, but it was not portrayed cheesily at all. Kudos to that. I screamed really loudly at one point. Its embarrassing, but true. And the climax build-up is so well done. Samantha garu has done her job amazingly well. everyone else has also done their job well. please follow rules. One must always be aware of how their actions or the lack of it might affect other people. And for underlining that message, a huge thank you to the director, pawan kumar garu who also wrote it. You sir, are one excellent specimen of filmmaking. More power to you.

Great Concept but half hearted execution
The movies revolves around a great concept and a social message, but somehow i feel if the makers puts a bit more attention to few minute details it could have been one of the best film came out of Indian flim industry and i dont mean "Bollywood" btw, movies from the Souther part of India are far superior in storytelling than Bollywood. But i am bit disappointed that a little more effort could have been put in the film' screenplay to make it more enjoyable. Nonetheless a great watch. I am giving 6 stars cz i have high expectations from Southern Movie industry.

Excellent Thriller
Excellent thrilling movie. Did not expect the horror content, as I was expecting just the mystery, but it was indeed the mix of myster + horror + thriller. A well directed film too.
