Amazing fresh comedy with hysterical gags and great acting from a great cast , packing silly incidents , entertainment and diversion . It is a fast crazy movie with lot of fun situations , antics , bemusement and with a bunch of very off-the-wall roles .This is a surprising and super funny Spanish flick , a drug comedy, with ''breaking bad'' as the thin red line . This one is clever , original, funny, incredibly paced, well filmed and with an enjoyable storyline. A university researcher is fired because of budget cuts. To earn a living, he decides to produce drugs and recruits his former colleagues, who are living at the margins of society despite their skills. Gathering the best minds of academia behind it - all former colleagues who have been left struggling in badly paid manual labour jobs - not only is it going to be the best drug ever, it's going to be the best organised operation ever. Three university teachers (David Verdaguer , Ernesto Sevilla, Carlos Santos) who have lost their jobs turn into drug dealers after one of them creates an experimental new pill. As long as they can keep from attracting the attentions of the local mafia (Ernesto Alterio), as long as Pedro's ex-wife Gloria (Amaia Salamanca) doesn't find out what he is doing and as long as all the money and crooks that come as part of the package don't impinge on the success of their operation. As they are teachers by day, traffickers by night.
Authentic , sympathetic and thoughtful portrait of the socioeconomic impasse , here there's a caustic condemnation for a system for the newest generation of "adults" which wastes young brains in a corrupt, inefficient loop of despair. This is an nice and nutty comedy starred by a varied group of young actors . It packs amusement , slapstick , comical situations , tongue-in-cheek , surrealist comedy including conventional pitfalls and many other things . This is another Spanish comedy romp , it is a bemusing story that contains lots of humor , entertainment , amusement and involving a bunch of young students/workers who carry out a lot of frolics , do mischiefs , pharmacy robbing and acts of fraud to get their purports . The presentation of the characters at the start is hilarious, sad and fun at the same time, relatable for a lot of Spanish youngsters that found themselves in the same situation in the past 10/20 years. Breaking Bad Spanish style , it succeeds partly because it has a basis in the reality that reflects the problems of funding and the value given to the academic professions, and the difficulty it has competing when students have other 'outside interests', but it mainly works because it is quite funny. It is a Spanish style comedy , but it's really a remake of the Italian film ¨Smetto quando voglio¨(2014) , directed by Sidney Sibillia , but the quality is much higher than new Spanish comedies. The film moves in fits and starts most of which would be desirable , with more traps the viewer resists any kind , and some moments of enjoyment and others quite a few ridiculous . It is a smart movie, well conceived in everything, in the ideas of the script, in the characters, and it is greatly enhanced from a nice cast such as the three stunning protagonists : David Verdaguer , Ernesto Sevilla , Carlos Santos . Along with a stunning support cast , such as : Cristina Castaño , Miren Ibarguren, Amaia Salamanca , Pedro Casablanc , Luis Varela , Gracia Olayo and special mention mention for Ernesto Alterio as an outlandish mobster , giving a very likable acting . It's largely a situational and offbeat comedy, the main joke being the idea of a bunch of eggheads including a varied and misfit team of underdogs and then becoming drug kingpins who rob pharmacies with ancient guns . This movie works so well because of many factors: it makes you laugh, has a cast in a state of grace, it has a nearly flawless script, it's well directed and, unusual for a Spanish comedy, it's very close to the technical quality standards of international movies. The humour is light-hearted then, and there's nothing too flash about the script or the direction. And can recommend it if you like the bittersweet bite of social critique with a few interspersed gags.
The motion picture was well directed by Carlos Therón in his fourth feature film , though without originality because he copies an Italian film . Carlos is an acceptable craftsman who has previously written and directed ¨Impavido¨ , ¨Fuga de cerebros¨and ¨Es por tú bien¨and has made episodes of notorious TV series as ¨Olmos Y Robles¨ , ¨El Chiringuito De Pepe¨, ¨Hombres De Paco¨ and ¨El Barco¨. Rating : 6.5/10. Worthwhile watching.
