I saw this short film as a religious one. Sure, at the first sigh, it is a real simple film. From story to performances. A guy, ignoring each temptation, for a noble purpose. His loneliness and tenacity. And hard work. And- the result. A film about contemporary Russia, easy to define as sketch but beautiful not only for cinematography but for inspired simplicity, powerful message, beautiful music.
