Raw and cruel. But oddly satisfying
This is not for the faint of heart. I thought It was the typical romance between a policewoman and a killer (yes, yes, typical), but It's mostly a crime drama where the love story adds to the whole as much as the other subplots and affects the final result in the impression It leaves. And what an impression...
Halfway through the drama I guessed the end, but kept watching because It was very interesting. I appreciate that they didn't sugarcoat things, but now I need like a couple Marx's brothers films to laugh like a fool before I venture again in dramaland.
Do I like it or Not?

NOT YOUR TYPICAL K-SERIES!
To be honest, I don't usually watch korean series because I've been disappointed numerous times every time I'd try to watch one. Kill it though, may have just proved to me that not all korean dramas are all about that generic love story. Also, ending broke me tf down yo why :(
unmissable masterpiece
Now days with the huge numbers of generic and simple love dovy drama it's rare to find those heavy written stories , if you are searshing for one of those rare great and complicated dramas then you should watch this one.
Story : 10/10 , extremely complex story every details is important nothing is random , you need to watch every episode 2 or 3 times to see those small hints and details ,it will make you thinking and rethinking everytime.
Acting : 10/10 actors did an amazing job here to make you feel the tension, sadness , and to transfer thier emotion , especialy the two main characters .
music : 10/10 soundtracks are catchy and every OST is synchronized
with the right time and moment to make it more effectif on the viewer.
other elements ( Action , Drama , mystry ) are perfectly done.
but the most outstanding thing in this drama is the unforgetable shocking ending that make this work of art stand out from the rest.
this is for sure the most underrated drama it's probably due to those who did n't even completed the drama because it's to complicated for them and they can't understand it well, or those who can't stand the fact thet this is a serious drama not thier generic happy ending love story.

Watchable series
The series is interesting and a bit confusing as well. The lead actor Jang look good in serious role along side the beautiful and talented Nana. Never felt bored watching this one and i don't know this drama is rated low. It should be atleast a 7.9 when series like BOF and other cringy series are rated above 8.
This is not your average type of drama where everyone gets a happy ending. If you want a lovey dovey drama, you better not watch this one.

Good Enough
Kill It attracks the viewer due to the killer cast. Nana is simply beautiful (didn't know her before this one....) and she pulled off the role quite well for an idol turned actress. She even managed the action scenes. Jang Ki Yong is back with another teary drama. After the success of "Come and Hug me" he portrays an assassin working as a vet. Okay, the premisses weren't perfect, but his backgroung story was really, really, really sad. The whole mystery case was really dark as well, especially since it involved kids.
Honestly, even though the performances were great, the story very intense and heavy, the start was too slow. I almost droped it because the first few episodes were lacking originality and that factor that pulles the viewer in.
So, 7.5 out of 10.

Complicated and confusing...
First of all, I must say that this drama takes A LOT OF energy and effort to digest. I mean it. Although I'm a huge fan of heavy, emotional, brainwashing, and historical dramas, but still this drama is too much even for me. I'm not a fan of crime drama since the very beginning, so that might be the cause too. This drama gives too many names, too many characters, and unclear plot of how, why, and what. Everything just falls over to the place. I'm getting so confused until around episode 5-7 and everything just boom, suddenly clears out after hanging the cloud of confusion for the first half of the drama.
Even if I'm the fan of a heavy plotted drama, I still need sufficient sweet thing called romance to balance the plot out and to put more intensity, but I think the romance in this drama is quite dry. I know it's due to the main characters' characters and personality, but still. I think the other is too active, while the other one is too passive. If you watch it, you'll know who I'm referring to. Although there's some improvements, it was very slow and unsatisfying. I know some didn't like 'pushed' and unnatural romance where the leads fall in love like in, less than 7 days. But still, I need more than this. They don't even hug, let alone kissing. I'm confused whether they really have feelings for each other and mutual love, or just childhood nostalgia seeps in.
But one thing I must praise is the ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK. I love them all. The soundtracks were so intense, great music and wonderful lyrics. I must praise this drama for the effort of presenting wonderful soundtracks that I'll always remember. Just like the soundtrack of Sky Castle, "We All Lie", the soundtrack from this drama is also very good. I really like it.
Another thing is, (I might be biased by my own personal opinion, but heck yeah, all this review is part of my personal opinion, so yeah) I want to praise the producers to pick my fav Im Jin-ah a.k.a Nana 'After School' as the female lead. I fell in love for her legendary beauty, of course, and hearing that she'll star in a drama with Park Hae-jin this 2019 really made my day, but suddenly she pulled out from the drama, and I was really depressed. Fortunately, she decided to join another drama, which is Kill It! And I also love Jang Ki-young since the days he starred in IU's MV (MY ULTIMATE BIAS IS IU / LEE JI-EUN) and after he starred again in IU's drama 'My Ahjussi'. Even though he played the role of a jerk, but I can't deny that HE'S HOT! Having both ultimate visuals of Korea really brighten up this drama. And I must admit the only great things that this drama has is its wonderful visual casts and beautiful soundtracks.
I hope whoever watching this enjoy this drama enough. I'm determined to watch this until the end and promise to myself that I won't drop this off in the middle (this is that kind of drama that can make me feel so distracted by other things, like playing my phone for example, due to boring plots and confusing dialogues), because as much as it is complicated, confusing, and boring (I don't know how many times already I repeat these 3 words), I'm still very drawn by the characters and potential (although it's almost 0%) romance development, and how will everything revealed in the end, the aftereffect, and the reactions of each cast. I'm still so curious of how this drama end. So stay tune pals!

Acting was on point
Wow I just finished the drama and I'm writing this review in tears, the acting just got better and better as the episodes continued on. The storyline was pretty decent but the connection I was able to get from the characters were insane because of the incredible acting skills.
Disappointing

Wasted Opportunity...
If this series succeeds at one thing, it is proving that our sense of justice is so broken that it only does one thing and one thing only: blaming it on the victims who actually stand against those who wronged them. The veil of stupid justice that claims revenge as a form of a savage reaction and encourages keeping your mouth shut and seeking no justice at all as the right thing to do. The stupid kind of justice where you put the victims in jail while the perpetrator runs free cause that's the true way of the world. The writer of this series wastes this great series as he follows this road for whatever reason ending this series in a very unexpected way.
Confusing story and direction - but the cast is convincing

Unique plot

A completely underrated drama!
The plot is so unique, I can tell noone has seen in any kdrama.
Story: Very captivating, it will hook you till the very end.
I love the way this drama unfolds every character at a time.
Beautifully executed!
Cast- Jung Ki Yong is a hell of an actor. He speaks through his eyes. No wonder why he is my favourite. You can feel his pain just by looking at his eyes. You can count his dialogues on your fingertips yet his expressions work magic on the screen.
Ok! I should stop here...I can talk hours on JKY 🙈 The FL, Nana did a complete justice to her character, although I was expecting some more action scenes from her but whatever she did, she did it wholeheartedly.
No.of episodes: It has only 12 episodes which is the best part of this drama. You dont feel dragged at any point of time.
The drama is not a romcom but it has a touch of romance. Its somewhat dark and heavy, it will make you think that we humans are the worst species ever.
PS: The dog Grey is very cute, If you are a dog person you would want to pet him.😊

Well taken thriller, with great acting from the lead pair. Jang ki Yong proves his acting skills yet again. A versatile actor.
Smart series, not the regular romantic comedies .

Worth to try
Its a good action , good story , good revenge , and good love story , event though not maybe not everybody for the ending , but its ok , cause the ending making sense with the storyline. And i'm personally having my rate for im jin ah herself with her beautyness i give her 8/10 stars from all the kdrama i've watched . And i give Jang Ki Young 8.5/10 stars for his on how he can always put out his cool face and act in every condition he had . Ahh , and also for the OST song , also not bad , the forever love from Hoon Min . At last hope this can help you guys , cause this is my first time on put out some review . Thx .
Riddled With Plot Holes
This was a miss for me. This could have been a really good thriller, but it was slow in some places and rushed in others, and the plot holes were numerous and obvious. There were some procedural things that were very unrealistic and served to solely push a pretty obvious ending that failed to achieve its emotional punch, despite fairly decent acting. The show as a whole failed to draw me in, and I pushed through all 12 episodes hoping for something to change, and it never did. The only good thing about this show was the soundtrack, particularly the tracks composed by Kim Jun-Seok which were absolute fire.
Listen to the music and skip this drama - it was ultimately a waste of time.

Nah
Tacky introduction and weak first episode that doesn't encourage the viewer to continue. While the rest is just your typical washed up OCN thriller. Nothing attractive or interesting about it. They could've taken the story in an interesting direction but that would be too much to ask for. I appreciate OCN cutting down the runtime but even then, it's still unnecessarily long and filled with irrelevant nonsense. I'm afraid Jang Ki Yong played the same character too many times that he fell into the vicious cycle of typecasting. Don't waste your time with this show !
As a dedicated fan of Korean dramas, I eagerly dove into "Kill It" expecting a thrilling ride filled with suspense, action, and gripping plot twists. However, what I found instead was a disappointingly drawn-out series plagued by numerous shortcomings.
Kill it starts off promising, with an interesting premise and the possibility for character growth. The portrayal of the main character as someone smart and professional at his job slowly starts to change into him being more idiotic.
One of the most glaring issues with "Kill It" is its painfully slow pacing. Rather than maintaining a sense of urgency and momentum, the show often meanders aimlessly, dragging out scenes and storylines to the point of tedium. What could have been a tight, compact narrative ends up feeling bloated and unnecessarily prolonged, leaving viewers frustrated and disengaged.
Furthermore, the actions of the characters often defy logic. It's baffling how supposedly skilled professionals can repeatedly make foolish decisions that defy common sense, leaving viewers scratching their heads in disbelief. The main character is acting like this is his first job in the field which is apparent when he is blackmailed the same way, from the same character, 3 times in a row with absolutely no change in approach.
Adding insult to injury are the numerous plot holes and inconsistencies littered throughout the series. There is a scene where he is on the phone with someone who needs help, yet no action is shown apart from him shouting. Key developments feel contrived and forced.
While "Kill It" may have fallen short in many aspects, the one saving grace was the commendable performances delivered by the cast. Despite the shortcomings of the script and characterization, the actors managed to inject depth and emotion into their roles, elevating the material with their talent and commitment. It's a testament to their abilities that, despite the show's flaws, the strength of their performances was the primary reason I continued watching "Kill It" to its conclusion.
In the end, "Kill It" squanders its potential as a gripping thriller, delivering a disjointed and frustrating viewing experience. With its sluggish pacing, underdeveloped characters, and gaping plot holes, it's a series that ultimately fails to live up to its promise, leaving audiences wishing they had spent their time on a more satisfying drama.
