"Good Intentions" is a short thriller inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart," in which a mother tries to cover up a tragic accident that occurs at her daughter's birthday party. Over the following days, she enters a mental and emotional downward spiral that not only wears at her own sense of being but her connections with the people she loves. Unable to cope with the aftermath of her decision, her guilt manifests as an accusatory heartbeat that can only be silenced by the revelation of truth. "Good Intentions" explores the devastating effects of a mother's choice made with the best intentions for her family, and asks the audience to consider the question: How far would you go to protect the people you love?
