Exclusive: Aimee Garcia has joined Criminal Minds: Evolution for the Paramount+ series’ third season.
In a multiple-episode arc, Garcia will portray Dr. Julia Ochoa, one of the country’s leading neuropsychiatrists who is assigned to help a high-profile patient recover from his injury-induced brain trauma. She clashes with Alvez (Adam Rodriguez) who, by contrast, believes in a more aggressive approach than her gentle approach.
Criminal Minds: Evolution is an expansion of the original CBS series which ran from 2005-2020. In the current season, the FBI’s elite team of criminal profilers comes up against an UnSub who has used the pandemic to build a network of other serial killers. As the world opens back up and the network goes operational, the team must hunt them down, one murder at a time.
The series stars Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Zach Gilford, Ryan-James Hatanaka with Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster.

The star-studded voice cast for the upcoming animated 'Transformers One' movie assembled at San Diego Comic-Con today, providing an exciting casting update for a room full of enthusiastic fans. The all-star voice cast featuring Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, and Scarlett Johansson has a new addition—Steve Buscemi will be voicing the iconic franchise villain, Starscream.
Director Josh Cooley and the cast appeared in the convention center’s legendary Hall H to share details, footage, and the latest trailer for the upcoming Paramount release. The animated prequel explores the origins of Optimus Prime and Megatron and takes place a staggering three billion years before the other Transformers stories. Here’s a breakdown of who’s who in the highly anticipated expansion of the franchise.
Chris Hemsworth as Orion Pax
Chris Hemsworth will lend his vocal talents to the role of Orion Pax, who later becomes the fan-favorite Autobot leader, Optimus Prime. Those are huge shoes to fill, as voice actor Peter Cullen has been the voice of Optimus Prime since the 1980s, in both television and film. But Hemsworth said that because this is the brash, young version of Optimus Prime, the goal was never to sound like Cullen.
Brian Tyree Henry as D-16
Playing opposite Hemsworth is Brian Tyree Henry, who has been tapped to voice D-16, Orion Pax's close friend who eventually becomes his archenemy, Megatron. For Henry, the casting was a dream come true, recalling during the panel that for some reason, his parents only bought him the villain toys. He had the Megatron toy and would make him the hero, because even as a kid he knew that villains don’t start out that way.
Scarlett Johansson as Elita-1
Scarlett Johansson, no stranger to voicing animated characters (‘Sing,’ ‘Her,’ ‘Isle of Dogs’), will bring her star power to the role of Elita-1, a powerful female Autobot warrior and Optimus Prime's love interest.
Keegan-Michael Key as B-127
Comedy star Keegan-Michael Key will provide the voice of B-127, another of Orion Pax's allies. Key shared with the crowd at Hall H that he was a fan from the beginning, rushing home after school and begging his mother to let him watch the cartoon before doing his homework.
Steve Buscemi as Starscream
During the SDCC panel, it was revealed that Steve Buscemi will voice the villainous Decepticon, Starscream. Buscemi's talent for playing weaselly, untrustworthy characters should make him the perfect fit for this treacherous role.
Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion
The inimitable Laurence Fishburne will lend his iconic vocals to the wise mentor figure Alpha Trion. In a fun bit of Hollywood connections, ‘Transformers One’ producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who appeared onstage at the Comic-Con presentation, helped shepherd another Fishburne film into production 25 years ago—‘The Matrix.’
Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime
Jon Hamm continues his foray into voice acting—after roles in “Invincible,” “M.O.D.O.K.,” and “Grimsburg”— by taking on the role of Sentinel Prime, one of the original leaders of the Autobots, turned villain.

THR reports that Minor Threats, the comic book co-created by Patton Oswalt and Jordan Blum, is set to become a live-action Netflix series.
The comic, first published by Dark Horse in 2022, deals with “low-level supervillains who usually find themselves bound in front of a police station with a note saying, ‘Courtesy of your friendly neighborhood Batman.’” Minior Threats proved to be quite successful and has been followed by a sequel and a pair of spinoffs. Oswalt and Blum will serve as writers, showrunners, and executive producers on the Minor Threats series, with artist Scott Hepburn also onboard as an executive producer.

Minor Threats, the hit comic book co-created by actor and comedian Patton Oswalt and screenwriter Jordan Blum, is headed to television.
Netflix is developing the live-action adaptation, with Oswalt and Blum to serve as writers, showrunners and executive producers. Scott Hepburn, the artist who drew and co-created the title, will also exec produce. The project is described as being in the early stages of development, according to sources.
Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg will exec produce for Dark Horse Entertainment, the company that publishes the comic; Kasey Adler will oversee the project for the company. Dark Horse has a first-look deal with Netflix, which is home to the long-running adaptation of its comic book Umbrella Academy.
In fact, the development dovetails nicely with Umbrella, whose fourth and final season hits Aug. 8 and, like Minor Threats, offers a off-kilter take on superheroics.

It’s not a bad gig working with Seth Green and the gang at Stoopid Buddy Stoodios. They’re the crew behind the goofy animation on Robot Chicken, Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. and Crossing Swords. And now they’re getting another crack at an epic Simpsons couch gag.
“Did you see @stoopidbuddystoodios new @thesimpsons couch gag?” asked Green in his latest Instagram post. “We are beyond thrilled to be a part of this iconic history.”
It’s a journey to the center of the Simpsons’ couch, with Homer pulling on a loose thread that sends him falling between the cushions. As 2D cartoon Homer plummets into the depths of Inner Sofa, he is somehow transformed into a 3D, crocheted version of himself where he’ll confront all of the lost treasures that live inside his aging furniture.

Milioti will star as Iris. Marvel Television was originally a separate entity from Marvel Studios, spearheaded by Jeph Loeb under the watchful eye of former Marvel Entertainment Chairman Isaac Perlmutter.
Before being shut down in 2019 (when Disney handed full control of all things Marvel to Kevin Feige), Marvel Television produced the likes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Netflix's Defenders slate, and even the likes of Cloak & Dagger, The Runaways, and M.O.D.O.K.
The vast majority of characters were off-limits to Marvel Television, with Marvel Studios' desires prioritised by Disney. For Feige, Loeb's outfit was an annoyance, particularly as much of what they produced - Inhumans, for example - damaged the MCU brand.
Marvel Studios has since discovered that producing TV shows isn't as easy as it looks. Last year, the decision was made to creatively overhaul Daredevil: Born Again and the studio's small screen output as a whole, with "Head Writers" finally replaced with proper showrunners.

With their comic Minor Threats, actor and comedian Patton Oswalt and TV writer Jordan Blum found unexpected success with their title focused on the travails of underappreciated and overlooked D-list villains.
Now, a background character in the comic that is about background villains is getting his moment in the spotlight.
From the World of Minor Threats: Barfly teams up the duo, who created Hulu’s stop-motion Marvel series M.O.D.O.K., with comics author Kyle Starks and artist Ryan Browne, the illustrator of indie hit Eight Billion Genies. It tells a coming-of-age story about an insect monster-man, seen previously as a silent but oh-so-cool-looking humanoid fly in a punk jacket in certain panels of the Threat comics. Now, he is searching for his identity in the criminal underworld of Twilight City. Dark Horse Comics is publishing the four-issue mini-series starting in July.

While the X-Men prepare for their homecoming to the MCU with the film Deadpool and Wolverine, fans are excited for the return of the epic clash between the X-Men and Magneto. The character was one of the main antagonists of Fox Studio’s X-Men franchise and was played by Ian McKellan and Michael Fassbender in the films.
However, fans might have to wait longer as the popular antagonist may take a backseat to pave the way for another much-awaited villain. According to industry insiders, the character Mister Sinister is being eyed by Marvel to stand against the X-Men in their reboot. This would be the villain’s first live-action appearance, after being rumored to be included in Hugh Jackman’s Logan.

With such a distinct, soothing tone, it’s no wonder Jon Hamm has gotten so much voice work. Now, he’s set to get his own starring role in an animated series called Grimsburg, playing a detective who juggles the struggles of his job and his home life.
In Grimsburg, Jon Hamm plays Martin Flute (looking very much like Hopper from Stranger Things), “maybe the greatest detective ever to catch a cannibal clown and correctly identify a mid-century modern armoire. But there’s one mystery he still can’t crack — himself. To do that he must return to Grimsburg, a town where everyone has a secret or three, and redeem himself in the eyes of his fellow detectives, his ferocious ex-wife and his lovably unstable son.”

Way to go, a-holes! Following a relatively modest opening weekend, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" is bucking the trend when it comes to a common feature of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies: the big second weekend drop. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the trilogy-closer is on track to add $58 million to its domestic box office total this weekend, which would be a drop of just 51 percent from its debut. That's the strongest second weekend hold for an MCU movie since 2019's "Spider-Man: Far From Home."
To compare it to another Marvel threequel, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" is performing similarly to "Thor: Ragnarok," which was seen as a triumphant comeback after the mediocrity of "Thor: The Dark World" and dropped just 53.5 percent in its second weekend. Like "Ragnarok," "Vol. 3" has been very well-received by critics and fans alike, with an A CinemaScore from audience polling and a "Certified Fresh...

Animation, in general, still doesn't get the respect it deserves, although things are changing for the better on that front thanks to folks like Guillermo del Toro (whose mantra that animation is an artistic medium and not a genre for kids has become a rallying cry among us animation lovers). But it's not just animation itself that's regarded as being inferior to live-action. Voice acting is a form of creative expression that requires just as much specialized skill and practice as live-action acting, if not more so. As we've seen time and time again, big-name stars and A-listers who are relative novices to the animation game are rarely a satisfying substitute for veteran voice actors — and certain roles simply demand the sort of expertise you can only really gain from years of voice-only performances.
Despite this, the biggest actors in Hollywood are steadily invited to try their hand at playing animated characters,...

When Ant-Man and the Wasp earned over $120 million on its first weekend, it seemed like the Marvel Cinematic Universe was doing well. Sure, reviews were mixed (even if we’ve been pretty enthusiastic here at Den of Geek), but the movie still resonated with fans. And then box office numbers dropped 69% the second weekend, and a further 61% for weekend three. The massive drop in ticket sales forces even the most fervent MCU fan to wonder, “Is the Age of Marvel over?”

Nicolas Cage has dismissed calls for him to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The actor appeared at the Miami Film Festival on Monday (6 March), where he was given the Variety Legend & Groundbreaker Award.
During his acceptance speech, the National Treasure star shared his views about the Marvel film franchise.

He continued: “I understand what the frustration is. I get it. But I think there’s plenty of room for everybody. I’m seeing movies like [recent Oscar nominee] Tár. I’m seeing all kinds of artistic and independently driven movies. I think there’s plenty of room for everybody.”

He continued: “I understand what the frustration is. I get it. But I think there’s plenty of room for everybody. I’m seeing movies like [recent Oscar nominee] Tár. I’m seeing all kinds of artistic and independently driven movies. I think there’s plenty of room for everybody.”

Jonathan Majors has commented on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’s disappointing critical reception.
Majors stars as the villain, Kang the Conqueror, in the Paul Rudd-starring Marvel franchise’s third instalment.
Since its 17 February release, Quantumania’s dismal reviews have made it Rotten Tomatoes’ lowest-scoring sequel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
It currently stands at just 47 per cent on the popular review aggregation site – now level with the lowest-scoring Marvel movie ever: Chloe Zhao’s 2021 ensemble feature, Eternals.
Majors was asked about his take on the film’s poor reception on IndieWire’s “Screen Talk” podcast this week.
“It doesn’t change how I see myself. Period. It’s all data,” Majors said.
“I’m a performance within a story. One thing I will say to my team as we’re leaving a premiere if they’re reading reviews, I’ll say, ‘How’s the movie doing?...

They’re back. Rlje Films presents the Stephen King reboot Children of the Corn by Kurt Wimmer on 500+ screens. It’s a redo of the classic 1984 slasher-horror film about kids possessed by a demonic spirit in a dying cornfield, with bloody, rampaging results.
King’s iconic short story features a 12-year-old Nebraska girl who recruits the kids in her small town for a killing spree of all the adults, and anyone else who opposes her. A bright high schooler who won’t go along with the plan is the town’s only hope of survival. There are some new twists, in Wimmer’s version, the corn is genetically modified. Starring Elena Kampouris, Kate Moyer, Callan Mulvey and Bruce Spence.
The story is great, spawning numerous spinoffs beginning with Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice in 1992 followed by Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest in 1995. Most went direct to video.

Spoiler Alert: This story discusses major plot points in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” currently playing in theaters.
The biggest issue “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” visual effects supervisors Jesse James Chisholm and Dave Hodgins had in building the robotic villain M.O.D.O.K. was getting the proportions right.
M.O.D.O.K., which stands for Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing, is played by Corey Stoll, the villain from the original “Ant-Man.” As audiences saw at the end of the first movie, his character Darren Cross is microscopically shrunk by Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang, causing massive amounts of damage to his body. He pops up in the third “Ant-Man” movie with a horrifically contorted physique, a giant head and a tiny body. To move, M.O.D.O.K. sits inside a hover chair that doubles as a mechanical suit. “He’s just a massive floating head,” Chisholm says.

“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” introduced Jonathan Majors into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kang the Conquerer, the franchise’s new Thanos-sized villain. While the actor received glowing reviews for his quietly menacing Kang, “Quantumania” itself was widely panned. The film is one of the worst-reviewed Marvel films in history with a 48% on Rotten Tomatoes, which nearly matches the record-low “Eternals” score of 47%. The film’s Metacritic score also stands at a paltry 48. Majors joined IndieWire’s “Screen Talk” podcast this week and confronted “Quantumania’s” low critic scores.
“It doesn’t change how I see myself, period. It’s all data,” Majors said about bad reviews. “I’m a performance within a story. One thing I will say to my team as we’re leaving a premiere if they’re reading reviews, I’ll say, ‘How’s the movie doing?’ I try to clean my plate and take care of my part.

While the primary villain in Peyton Reed’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” hasn’t been a secret for a long time — after all, Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conquerer is set to lord over the Marvel Cinematic Universe for its next two phases — other baddies were kept a touch more secret in the lead-up to the release of the third film in the “Ant-Man” series. And while some trailers hinted at the inclusion of Modok (the “mechanized organism designed only for killing”) and some fans even sussed out that the murderous floating head might be played by returning star Corey Stoll, the actual arrival of Stoll as Modok is, well, hard to spoil.
Mostly, it’s very funny, as Reed’s film imagines that, after Stoll’s Yellowjacket was foiled by Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) in the first film,...

"Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania" is in theaters, and audiences seem to be divided on one character from the film. If social media is anything to go by, people are split on M.O.D.O.K.'s appearance. This classic comic book character was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and first appeared in "Tales of Suspense" #93 in 1967. M.O.D.O.K. has different origin stories in the comics, the first being George Tarleton, a man who used to work for Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.), which was an arms-dealing company employing advanced technology. He was mutated through an experiment that was trying to increase his intelligence. It worked, but it also shrunk his body and gave him a giant head, forcing him to float around in a hover chair.

The latest "Ant-Man" film is easily the most divisive of the three, making headlines for being one of the only two Marvel Cinematic Universe movies to get a rotten score on Rotten Tomatoes. There are plenty of possible reasons for this: maybe it's because the CGI was questionable, or because a lot of the jokes fell flat, or because viewers didn't connect to the main characters this time around. Or maybe it was because of Modok, the giant-headed monstrosity that the poor villain from the first film has been turned into.
It's a weird return for Darren Cross (Corey Stoll), a character who was always evil but was never this pathetic or unsettling. He once had the proportions of a normal man, but now he's just a giant head attached to tiny little arms and legs. It's a character design reminiscent of Mr.

It was only a matter of time before the Marvel Cinematic Universe got to M.O.D.O.K.
The character of M.O.D.O.K. (Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing) was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, and debuted in Marvel Comics back in 1967 as a potential enemy for Captain America. The character has always looked ridiculous, as he is an outsize human head, about five feet tall, equipped with tiny arms and legs springing from his jaw and chin. It may be the absurd look of M.O.D.O.K., along with his silly name, that has ensured him a constant and recurring place in Marvel Comics canon. One cannot create a weird-ass character like M.O.D.O.K. and not bring him back as often as possible.

"Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania" may not be a critical darling, but writer Jeff Loveness is riding a wave of ecstasy after writing the Marvel Studios sequel that really let him take the Marvel Cinematic Universe into some of the strangest sci-fi territory the multi-billion dollar franchise has ever seen. With roots that began at "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and eventually took him to the writing staff of "Rick and Morty," Loveness is a comedy writer at heart, but he relished the opportunity to write a classic and tragic character like Kang the Conqueror, with actor Jonathan Majors taking the out-of-time villain's dialogue to the next level.
Following the release of "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania," /Film got the chance to speak with Jeff Loveness about writing the sequel that kicks off Phase 5 of the MCU. Funnily enough, Loveness says he wasn't concerned with setting up the future of the MCU,...

Over the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there have been several characters pulled from the comic books that have pushed the boundaries of verisimilitude and just common sense, including Rocket and Groot from “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Korg and Miek from “Thor: Ragnarok,” Goose from “Captain Marvel” and Morris from “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.”

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has always taken liberties with the source material. Whether it's changing the storylines to fit the mythology and timeline established by the movies, or changing the characters to make them unique and distinct for the movies.
Take Namor, for instance, a character with an origin that was deeply changed from the comics -- or even the way the MCU has affected the comics that inspired them. Tony Stark forever changed once Robert Downey Jr. took on the role and the comics started making him more likable, and the current depiction of Nick Fury is based on Samuel L. Jackson's appearance.
The third "Ant-Man" movie serves as the official start of phase 5 of the MCU, and it finally properly gives us a Quantum Realm adventure full of weirdness after a single, simple tease in the previous movie.

Over the last few years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has expanded beyond films and into TV. We've had Disney+ shows like "Ms. Marvel," "WandaVision," "Moon Knight," and more, with varying degrees of success. I've enjoyed many of them, and I like the idea of stretching out stories that need it rather than shoving everything into a two- to three-hour film. Some of the series we've seen made me wish a show was longer or shorter, but the center holds. Flexibility in the length of storytelling gives you more options to tell a full tale rather than have it rushed. For example, I wanted to see Loki get more time than he did as just a movie villain, and the "Loki" series was wonderful.

In both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Marvel movies produced by other studios like Sony and Fox, there's a long history of bungling if not outright butchering great comic book villains. The Marvel Comics version of M.O.D.O.K. isn't in the same league as classic Fantastic Four baddies like Doctor Doom and Galactus, or top-tier X-Men villains like Apocalypse and Sabretooth. However, M.O.D.O.K. has been floating around in his Doomsday Chair — the hoverchair that supports the weight of his head — since 1967, and he's at least enough of a power player to have spawned his own stop-motion animated series, where he was voiced by comedian Patton Oswalt.
M.O.D.O.K. now joins the ranks of all the other poorly realized Marvel movie villains of the 2000s courtesy "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," which has made a live-action mess of him.

While audiences are quick to judge a movie or television show based off of a single viewing, most people fail to understand and empathize with the fact that nobody goes through life without making mistakes. So, since fans can relate to such a fact, it shouldn’t be a large surprise when franchises as massive as the MCU occasionally put out a movie that underperforms or includes a character that didn’t meet their potential. With M.O.D.O.K in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania getting a mixed reaction from fans, now’s a good time to check in on other water Marvel villains.
While T=the MCU has done a decent job of addressing one of their biggest flaws and that was improving their villains, an area that was widely critiqued for the majority of Phases 1-3. Even so, some of their villains have still left bitter tastes in fans mouths...

M.O.D.O.K., which stands for Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing (one of several versions of his name), is one of the weirder Marvel Comics characters out there. He's a goofy-looking little dude that flies around in a hover chair, yelling a lot. M.O.D.O.K. is one of those characters that works better on the page of a comic book than on a screen. After the relatively small-scale adventures of Paul Rudd's Scott Lang and the rest of his ant-gang in the first two "Ant-Man" movies, "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania" promised to shake things up significantly. The Disney-run streamer has renewed Hit-Monkey for a second season. The pickup comes more than a year after it debuted on Hulu in November 2021, and more than eight months after the only other series of the four to make it to air — Modok — was canceled after a single season.
The four series greenlit in 2019 came from the now defunct Marvel Television, headed by Jeph Loeb. They were positioned as an animated counterpart to the four-show Marvel TV lineup at Netflix (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist), complete with a culminating miniseries to be called The Offenders (playing off The Defenders team-up for the Netflix shows).
Marvel TV, however, was folded into Kevin Feige’s Marvel Studios late in 2019, and Loeb departed. After that, two of...

When it comes to the big bad in "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," it's been all "Kang this" and "The Conqueror that." True Believers are constantly asking how the upcoming Phase Five kickoff will connect to the events of "Loki" and He Who Remains. And then beyond that, there's all the speculation about "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty" down the road and whether or not the titular heroes in this movie will even make it that far. However, while all of that is well and good, we're overlooking a huge threat for the size-shifting superheroes: Modok.
As seen in the latest trailer for filmmaker Peyton Reed's latest adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the fan-favorite Marvel Comics villain will come face to face with Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne as they and their family venture deep into the Quantum Realm. But so little is known about this iteration of...

It’s trailer time once again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Disney is largely focused on promoting Black Panther: Wakanda Forever right now, let’s remember Phase 5 is also kicking off with a bang thanks to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. In fact, things are looking darker than ever before in the first trailer for the latter film. This doesn’t quite look like the usual comedic adventure you’ve come to expect from these subatomic heroes.
The clue is in the name that Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang/Ant-Man will once again be sharing the screen with Evangeline Lilly’s Hope van Dyne/Wasp, and that we’ll finally be spending some real time in the Quantum Realm. This mysterious land features briefly in 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp, but here, it looks like it will be what ultimately unleashes the MCU’s next Thanos in the form...

Hulu has renewed adult animated comedy “Solar Opposites” for its fifth season. The news was announced at a panel discussion about the series at New York Comic Con on Thursday.
The Season 5 renewal comes before the show’s fourth season has even debuted. Season 3 of the series arrived on Hulu in July, with Season 4 set to premiere with 12 episodes sometime in 2023. The series has aired several holiday specials, most recently “Sinister Halloween Scary Opposites Solar Special,” which arrived on Hulu on Oct. 3.
Justin Roiland, best known for creating Adult Swim’s “Rick and Morty” with Dan Harmon, co-created “Solar Opposites” along with “Star Trek: Lower Decks” creator Mike McMahan. The series centers around a team of four aliens who are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo (Roiland) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) only see the pollution, crass consumerism and human frailty while Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) love their TV,...

This post contains spoilers for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode six
Six episodes in, the greatest strength of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has been its relatively low stakes. Instead of focusing on universe-destroying villains found in the movies, or even the wayward gods and crime kingpins found in Moon Knight or Hawkeye, She-Hulk‘s most consistent antagonist has been Titania, a superpowered influencer who does evil for the likes. But in episode six, the show introduced a team who may be a driving force in Phase Five of the MCU.
At first glance, “Just Jen” follows the model set by previous She-Hulk episodes, splitting time between Jen contending with a bridezilla and Nikki and Mallory dealing with another legal case with a goofy superhero. But the B-plot also reveals the existence of a website called Intelligencia, which has greater implications for the rest of the MCU.
Intelligencia initially seems very...

The comedic whodunit “Confess, Fletch” features the best leading-man role that star Jon Hamm has enjoyed since his breakthrough performance as Don Draper in the exceptionally rich Madison Avenue drama “Mad Men.”
In the last seven years, Hamm has stood out in a few decent supporting roles — “Bad Times at the El Royale,” “Richard Jewell” — and some voice acting performances, particularly Tony Stark in the Marvel animated comedy “M.O.D.O.K.” and a brief cameo as “Don Grouper” in a 2016 episode of “SpongeBob SquarePants.”
Hamm gets to show more of his range in “Confess, Fletch,” a breezy murder mystery based on the second of Gregory McDonald’s “Fletch” novels, the first of which was adapted into a cultishly revered 1985 Chevy Chase vehicle.

Back in June of 2022, we learned that a new live-action series about Marvel's Wonder Man was in development over at Disney+. "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" director Destin Daniel Cretton is set to executive produce and possibly direct "an episode or more," with Andrew Guest as head writer.
The upcoming Wonder Man series has another connection to "Shang-Chi" though, in the form of Ben Kingsley, according to Variety. He'll reprise the role of Trevor Slattery, who appeared in "Shang-Chi." Slattery is a failed actor who posed as the terrorist The Mandarin in "Iron Man 3," though he is unmasked at the end. In the Marvel short "All Hail the King," he's rescued from prison by a minion of the real Mandarin, who we later learn is Shang-Chi's father Xu Wenwu. In "Shang-Chi," Slattery helps the heroes escape from Wenwu, and gets them to Ta-Loh, with the help...

Patton Oswalt is Ok with making you squirm. After all, the actor and comic once performed a number called “The Cringe” on an episode of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” a title that could describe his approach to cracking people up.
“Real comedy comes from those moments,” Oswalt says. “I fully ascribe to Tracy Morgan’s maxim that ‘Cool is the enemy of funny.’ Cringe and awkwardness are real humanity, and that’s where the real funny stuff comes from.”
A comic’s comic adored by peers and audiences for wry, observational humor that often comes at his own expense, he’s also proven to be a skilled dramatic actor, recently playing Nixon’s hatchet man Charles Colson in the limited series “Gaslit.”
But his new film, “I Love My Dad,” ups the ante in discomfort while offering Oswalt a showcase role that is alternately hilarious and tragic. The film was written and directed by James Morosini,...

Welcome to the Multiverse Saga.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige made a triumphant return to Comic-Con Saturday and got a hero’s welcome. The executive announced a pair of Avengers movies and revealed the official title for the next saga he’s been building. The Infinity Saga, which concluded with Avengers: Endgame, helped make Marvel the biggest brand in Hollywood. The new batch of projects fall under the title the Multiverse Saga.
“I’m unbelievably excited,” Feige said, noting there were times he wondered if he’d ever get back to the -Con, which was shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
The big news was a pair of Avengers films to come out just months apart. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will arrive May 2, 2025, with another Avengers movie following months later. Avengers: Secret Wars hits Nov. 7, 2025. (Scroll to the bottom of...
