"The Franchise" Shane Douglas defeated ECW World Television Champion Chris Jericho, 2 Cold Scorpio (Charles Scaggs) and Pitbull # 2 (Anthony Durante) (w/Francine (Francine Fournier)) in a four-way-dance to win the title. Scorpio pinned Jericho with a Tombstone Piledriver and the Tumbleweed (Somersault corkscrew leg drop). Pitbull #2 pinned Scorpio after a Superbomb (top-rope powerbomb). Francine entered the ring and threw powder in Pitbull #2's eyes. She then turned her back to the camera and pulled down her skirt to reveal her thong with the word "Franchise" on it. Pitbull #1 (Gary Wolf) made his way to the ring and the Pitbulls made history by Superbombing Francine through a table, making her the first woman to go through a table in North America. Douglas won the match by pinning Pitbull #2 with a belly-to-belly suplex. The match has long been considered one of ECW's best.
"The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer, "The Hardcore Icon" The Sandman (Jim Fullington) and Terry 'Bam Bam' Gordy faced ECW World Heavyweight Champion Raven (Scott Levy), Stevie Richards (Michael Manna) and Brian Lee (Brian Harris) in a match where if Richards was pinned, Raven lost the ECW World Heavyweight Title. Sandman won the match for his team by pinning Raven, meaning the title did not change hands.
The Tarzan Goto-Axl Rotten (Brian Knighton) match, which Goto won, was Goto's last match for ECW in the U.S. and his last match in the U.S. for nine years. At a joint IWA Japan/ECW event on August 10, 1996, The Eliminators (Perry Saturn and John Kronus) defeated Goto in a handicap match. The following night, Goto defeated Buh Buh Ray Dudley (Mark LoMonaco). Goto never wrestled for ECW again after this. Goto's last match in the U.S. saw Felino, Heavy Metal (Erick Casas) and Negro Casas defeat Goto, Infernal and Pilota Suicida at Full Contact Wrestling LA's "FCW Pride" show on September 24, 2005.
