The script went through many iterations. Romain (Philippe Katerine), whose fiancee gets kidnapped, was originally a younger doctor that rode a BMX. He then became "Antoine", a widower whose daughter got snatched, before reverting back to an older "Romain" looking once again for his girlfriend.
