The Contract (2006)
Cringe worthy
I usually love John Cusack. But I have to say, seeing this film I was cringing most of the time. The acting was not up to par and the script mediocre. I'm really shocked because Morgan Freeman and John Cusack seem like a good casting and the story seems like a good idea, but it just did not deliver. How the story was presented was so bland and colorless. The acting by the kid who plays John Cusack's son was unbelievable bad. And I hate to say that about a person, but I'm being honest in my review. There was no climax to this ending. This was definitely John Cusack and Morgan Freeman's worst that I've seen so far. I wouldn't waste your time.
Here on Earth (2000)
Not impressed...
To be honest, this movie made me believe the main girl, Sam (Leelee Sobieski) was an idiot. Sam is currently dating Jasper (Josh Hartnett). They've been best friends from a young age. Jasper seems to be pretty honorable and stands up for her and defends her. Cue Kelley (Chris Klein). Kelley is a rich college student who's is motherless and may as well be fatherless. Frankly, I didn't love Kelley. His character was sort of a jerk and had no honor or respect for Sam. The whole idea of Kelley suddenly showing up to a small "poor" town and Sam immediately falling in love with him seems ridiculous. There is nothing special about Kelley. He claims to he loves her, but when Sam finds out she has cancer, suddenly Kelley says "He has a life to get back to." Aka College. Leaving Sam to die alone. Oh except, Jasper is there for her. He stays with her through it. Yet, Kelley changes his mind and comes back and suddenly she is happy again. I wouldn't have chosen the guy who claimed he loved me and then leaves in my most difficult time. The film leaves you feeling sorry for Jasper and, for me, I thought Sam was delusional and idiotic for choosing Kelley.
Drake & Josh (2004)
I'm 23 and I love this show!
I'm 23, I started watching this cause of what happened to Drake Bell. I didn't grow up with tv so I never saw these shows as a kid. I hate what he went through, but I will say this show is hysterical and some episodes had good moral messages to teach kids. I love how funny and sweet Josh is and I love how much of a dits Drake can be. I finished it recently and I don't know if I'll find a show like it, so I'm even thinking about rewatching it right away! Some of the episodes seem to have some sort of inappropriate things in it. (Very mild) I think Dan was trying to see how far he could go. But surprisingly wasn't as bad as the Amanda Show on the inappropriate stuff. It's worth a watch! For ALL ages!
Bright Lights, Big City (1988)
Refreshing
To be honest, I'm not sure why everyone said that Michael J. Fox was the wrong person for this role. I thought he did an amazing job, and he portrayed the character quite well. The story was really good and mysterious. I like the fact that his real wife played in this movie as well. He gave me a couple laughs, made me sad. The songs featured in this movie were well chosen. I thought I would definitely recommend this movie. I also found the aspect of working for a paper quite interesting and I was glad they showed you, what that's like working there maybe I'm biased. I do love Michael J Fox, and he did a great job in this movie.

Refreshing!
I'm not sure how this has only a 5.7 average rating. Honestly, the chemistry between Adam driver and Ariana Greenbelt was really good in the storyline was entertaining. It's the same people who did a Quiet Place. I don't know how you could hate it. I actually think it was Adam driver's best character. It was so sweet and so funny. And it had suspense and twists and turns. I was really surprised by this movie honestly. I was not a big fan of Adam driver before. But as I said before, I think this was his finest work. I definitely recommend you go see this movie . I think it is well worth your time.
Lars and the Real Girl (2007)
Somehow...
I can't explain it. I watched this film, keeping the reviews in mind, thinking, "how could I end up crying in this movie?" Well, I did! It was good in ways I can't explain. I've never seen a film like this. It was so healing and sympathetic. This man felt so alone and to cope with it he buys a companion. The town decides to show their love for him by going along with his idea. The psychological side of the ending was so beautiful, in the fact that he didn't need Bianca anymore. He had learned to not be alone anymore. His friends and family never gave up on him. You really see the character progress throughout the film and it's all because of the love and support.
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019)
Love this so much!
Never even saw the original movie, but I fell in love with this series in episode 1 when Rian and Mira dreamfast. I love a good mythical world, with creatures and new jargon to learn! I loved Deet and Hup too much! I really hate they didn't finish the series.
17 Again (2009)
Honestly, Zac Efron's best!
Zac gets to play a father figure trapped in his 17 year old body. He's very protective of his kids. Which makes for some funny, awkward moments with his kids in school. Honestly, I don't like Zac that much. But this movie is so good. Particularly, the scene in the courthouse. Some of his best acting if you ask me 😉
I Am Number Four (2011)
Highly under rated
This movie was so good! It honestly surprised me. I didn't think it was gonna be that good, since I had never even heard of it. But somehow I got a copy of it and it instantly became one of my favorite teen sci-fis! It's just so unique and good actor and creepy bad guys. I wish they had made more.
Beastly (2011)
This movie is so good!
I feel like this movie does not get enough recognition. It's so good! I'm usually not a big fan of Vanessa Hudgens, but she did a pretty good job in this film. It was sweet and romantic. It's amazing to see that looks aren't everything. I still liked Alex's character, even though he was made to be Unattractive. His character/personality is what I liked. And the score...it's amazing! 😍 seriously worth watching more than once!
Jonathan (2018)
Intriguing!
I was captured from the beginning! It had an interest idea and concept. The acting was very good as well! The actors really put you in their shoes and helped you feel what they were seeing. Definitely worth a watch!
The Giver (2014)
One of my absolute favorites!
This movie is so well done! It really makes you appreciate your feelings and what it means to truly live! Color effects were insane! And the music is one of the best scores I've ever heard! Actors was phenomenal too!
The Tomorrow War (2021)
SO GOOD AND UNIQUE
I haven't seen a movie this fresh since A Quiet Place. It kept you on the edge of your seat as it had twists and turns and kept you guessing and trying to figure it out. All the performances were outstanding! The music was SO SO good! I wanna buy the whole album. The story line was basic and yet interesting! It's so worth the watch! It's just an amazing film!
The Big Year (2011)
An inspiring movie!
Very eye opening film! Really prompts you to evaluate your life at the moment. Loved all the performances! Jack Black, Steve Martin & Owen Wilson always do a fantastic job! Had good lessons to learn! And a bit of humor too!
A Year in Mooring (2011)
Good!
It has you intrigued from the very beginning! I liked that it was metaphorical about healing and the process of letting the past go and learning to move on with the life you still have. And the music was so beautiful! And as always, Josh Lucas did so well!
Broken Horses (2015)
Story about the love between brothers
I'm not gonna lie, I thought this movie was gonna be low budgeted and stupid. Why did I watch it then? Well...I was going through an Anton Yelchin phase and frankly, I ran out of movies. But this movie blew me away. It was just amazing! The acting of both Anton and Chris was phenomenal! Just a good story! The only thing I didn't care for was the foul language and there was a good amount of violence too. I am a sucker for stories about brothers. I feel like there is no relationship like the one between brothers. This was an excellent story! And the music was good too! :) Two thumbs up!
