When Calls the Heart: Starry Nights (2023)
Arc completions and Cliff Hangers
Satisfying completion of several story arcs with Henry's redemption, the Colter's baby story with christening, Joseph following his calling as a paster and the breakup of Elizabeth and Lucas (even though painful for many viewers) which was handled in a thoughtful, caring manner with them both realizing it was for the best. Then the cliff hangers: who was waiting for Lucas? What happens to Lucas causing Bill to get Elizabeth and Nathan? Will Abigal be in Season 11 and will she and Henry have a romance? And will Elizabeth finally do what she is afraid to do and let herself be with Nathan? Season 11 should be filled with lots of new stories!
When Calls the Heart: Long Time Running (2023)
Well constructed emotional episode
Characters are returning to true selves thus allowing for authentic storytelling. Actors were top notch as the audience felt the emotion and turmoil of difficult decisions. Well done, writers, cast and all the crew. Wonderful episode. Special shout out to Erin Krakow, Kevin McGarrt, Pascale Hutton and Chris McNally for their emotional portrayals. And wow is Martin Cummins a treasure. Love is worth fighting for was a running theme in season 8 and seems to be carried over into current season along with overcoming fear. Will these characters do what they are afraid to do? I am betting they do. Looking forward to the finale!
Love in the Villa (2022)
Very Fun
Yes maybe full of romantic tropes but what a fun ride! Story was a bit out of the ordinary with 'villa war'. So not typical mixup with sharing villa.
Love Kat Graham and she and Tom Hooper had very good chemistry. Was a very nice way to spend an evening and actually laughed out loud several times.
Nice quality, acting, directing and storytelling. Inhave found the quality of the film itself make a huge difference and this one is very nicely done. Especially loved the cooking scene food fight. And scenery is beautiful. If looking for a fun romcom this may fill the bill. It did for me. I Loved it.
That's Amor (2022)
Fun Watch
Great chemistry between the two leads. Some familiar supporting cast and others I have not seen. Typically I don't enjoy new actors but this cast was very likable and fun. Liked the story, the locations etc.
I have found it hard to find quality, interesting, fun, and entertaining television shows even with network tv and all the streaming services so finding an interesting film with good acting is a rarity these days.
Some other reviewer compared this to a Hallmark movie and must say this was a better quality film than most Hallmark fare these days This was a lot of fun to watch! Thank you all involved.
The Wedding Veil (2022)
Perfect Romcom for a Saturday Night In
Chemistry matters and Kevin McGarry and Lacy Chabert have chemistry. Add in a mystery veil, beautiful location, and best friends who happen to be Alison Sweeney and Autumn Reeser and you have a can't miss romcom. Great supporting actors and storylines, especially loved the mother/son dynamic and how Peter's first thought was to take care of his mom after his father's passing. I definitely recommend this feel good romantic movie!
The Sweetest Heart (2018)
Nice movie
Enjoyed the relationship chemistry with Julie Gonzalo and Chris McNally. Storyline of past love not unique but these two along with the supporting cast kept me interested.
Snowkissed (2021)
No sparks
Am a fan of Jen Lilley Chris McNally but there were no sparks between these two. Story didn't keep me interested either. Won't give it a re-watch.
Love at First Bark (2017)
Fun movie
Great chemistry between Jana Kramer and Kevin McGarry which makes this a fun way to spend some time. I am selfish with my time and for entertainment would rather watch something fun, happy and uplifting. This fits the bill and so enjoy adding dogs to the relationships.
