Attack of the Killer Chickens: The Movie (2022)
such a camp fun film!
I enjoyed this way more than i should have
my favourite death was Teresa Hui, her demise was like being in a theatre watching an operetta! I loved it!
You should all check this film out, it's so fun.
The puppets are pretty neat too, and for an indie it is quite well shot.
I was expecting something cheap and tacky and schlocky and trashy and I actually got something even better.
I dunno, I just can't explain it, just trust me - watch Attack of theKiller Chickens: the Movie, please. It's like every early Jon Waters/Divine movie mixed into the best Troma-style movies, with extra glitter!
I'm off now to eat a chicken burger, wish me luck
ps the Gacy style clown character was a nice nod.
The Irregulars (2021)
time travel?
A bunch of teens/young adults in a drama set in Victorian London, but they talk like modern kids with modern slang and current-day expressions. It just doesn't work at all, it's bizarre, I went into this blind without reading anything online beforehand and I honestly assumed it was about time travel because of the modern-day characters in a period setting. I think it's actually just bad writing. Shame, it had real potential.
Bag Boy Lover Boy (2014)
I enjoyed it.
I watched this film expecting it to be a cheapo indie slasher film, but I was exceptionally impressed by the production values and especially by the perfomance of Theodore Bouloukos as Ivan, the sleazy career-minded photographer, Theodore played the role brilliantly, giving a performance that put me in mind of a sort of mixture between Stanley Tucci's Jack Warner in FX's "Feud: Bette & Joan" and William Petersen's Gil Grissom from "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation". The overall story of "Bag Boy Lover Boy" is an urban drama-cum-thriller in the vein of Michael Powell's classic film "Peeping Tom", presenting us with the tragically lonesome character Albert (played beautofully by Jon Wachter), wanting to further his creative prospects as a studio photographer, but with a kinky sort of death-fetish tie-in. Andres Torres certainly pulled out all the stops with this movie and I will be eagerly looking out for any of his future titles, especialy if they are as good as "Bag Boy Lover Boy".
Dead Search (2010)
quite atmospheric and creepy
I had the chance to watch this film at a media event and I thought it was pretty good. The story end with the viewer asking more questions but that's a good thing, as it gets the audience thinking up their own explanations to what has happened.
I like that in a movie.
Overall it was shot quite well, the scene at the top of the stairs was especially effective and the score really helps add to the suspense.
It mixes scifi, Horror and Thriller, and also a heavy dose of mystery towards the start. All these genres combine quite effectively in what I think is an entertaining (and quite creepy in parts) film that I will look out for again at future festivals and events.
I enjoyed it quite a bit and I'm looking forward to seeing the cast and crew's future projects.
Beyond the Limits (2003)
gore-fest and Xenia
just bought it because i knew Xenia had a part in it.
the title is right, this film really is Beyond the Limits, loads of gore and violence . loads. really good effects too. some people say the acting was bad, but i think only one or two people let that down. the rest were great.
Xenia wasn't in it much, but her characters demise is the main part of the first of the two segments. speaking of blood and gore, Clarice (Xenia) certainly got a mouth-full of it! lol. and the poor girl didn't even know what was going on!
i really enjoyed it, thanks to everyone who made it and I'm really looking forward to the other horrors Xenia gas been working on , especially the one with Debbie Rochon (sp?) who's a splatter queen herself, so to see these two icons (horror/scifi) together in a movie would be great!
(also waiting for the comedy horror, so you've downloaded a demon, any news on when its out? anyone?)
email me if you like. I'm open to all comments and such

Hostel (2005)
disappointed.
i went to the cinema to watch, what i thought would be, a gritty, gruesome and shocking horror thriller. with a depressingly raw feel like "Saw" or something.
what i got was a stupid teeny porn film with ten or fifteen minutes of blood at the very end.
I was so disappointed. I didn't want to see a remake of "Road trip".
I wanted a gory horror, like the trailers had implied.
the trailers and write ups are very very misleading. This is no way anything like a horror film.
Until the last, say, 15 minutes.
watch it if you want, but i wouldn't recommend it if you are after viewing a thriller or a horror movie.
The Demons in My Head (1996)
what is it with the trailer?
in the trailer there and loads of deleted scenes does anyone know if there was actually a version made with the scenes in? or were they done just for the trailer? from what i can gather they are.
1) alternate meteor over the house, this one has flames behind it.
2) different alien planet scene, this one is green instead of red and has a city instead of a large moon.
3) shot of alien probe flying to earth 4) shot of large arrow shaped spacecraft crashing, or something.
5) multiple shots of spacecraft docking in stations and orbiting the earth.
6) inside view of a ship. showing the viewing screen or something. displaying the four main characters in circular bubble-type screens.
7) the green alien city showing a red flare or probe being launched NOTHING LIKE ANY OF THESE SCIENCE FICTION STYLE SCENES ARE IN THE MOVIE?!!! anyone know anything? Email me if you do . please cenobitehell@hotmail.com (btw, i loved this movie!)
Hellraiser: Hellworld (2005)
all the cast worked great together
i really hope that some of the actors in this movie are prepared to return for one of the sequels. or at least to be a regular in a possible TV series? i saw this movie twice when it arrived and i'm going to watch it again tonight, it was marvelous. Lance was just great, an excellent performance. i slightly felt pity for him at the end, but from watching the previous hellraiser movies i know he is in a better place. lol.
i found it surprising that this movie and deader were filmed back to back yet each one is so individual, normally with movies filmed like that, they normally share more cast and sets. but they both finished off as very unique and special movies.
just like to thank the regulars for making this, Gary, Doug, Tim, Rick, Joel & Mike (regan). you didn't let any of us fans down, not one bit. thank you.
(now, whens the Hellworld.net website gonna happen? )
These Old Broads (2001)
one thing
i love this movie to bits. for a million reasons
its funny, witty and a great way to reuinted the great classics actresses. and a lot of the story lines and jokes are true to the real actresses lives. which is great of them to joke about.
but there is one thing that dissapoints me
in the gay club scene Joan sings a dance version of "get happy", im so dissapointed that this was never released
i would sell my soul for this song. im quite dissapointed that a soundtrack wasnt released actually. ah well. i must sit and wait for this movie to eventually be released on dvd. its only available in canada for hvs rental for some reason.
if im wrong then someone please tell me
In the Woods (1999)
a personal favourite
reading some of the reviews this movie received upset me. a great deal.
a lot of work went into this film and it DOES have a very very good plot
the acting is above average and the effects are amazing i think the creatures were very well presented too. the only flaw was indeed the sound, but ive seen a lot worse
i indeed watched this movie twice in the same day after buying it, it was very enthralling. i think they should expand on the mythology of these beasts, perhaps in a sequel/prequel?
this movie is now one of my favourites, up there with the Hellraiser series, Mothman Prophecies, Wishmaster, Carrie, Event Horizon and Jurassic Park
again, it is such a hell of a shame that people are ready to spit on this film, when it does deserve a helluva chance
it is just aces
Hilda Humphrey (2002)
funky
this is a rather kooky comedy, done in the way of a documentary or tv-biography of the local nerdy, geeky hellchild slut with a drug problem and two and a half kids!! her attitude towards life changes when at 15 she witnesses her lovable puppy get run over (messy scene too!) and she rebels, sex, drugs and cleaning toilets. its really good humor and is now part of my favourite's collection .
Hellraiser: Hellseeker (2002)
an effing excellent movie!
I, too, saw this movie advance and it is the most well pieced together story. There are so many elements in it that are superior to the previous movies. (Except the first of course). The mythos is as it was in Inferno, but with the characters from previous Hellraiser movies included or mentioned (I cant say which as it will spoil the story). The effects are really impressive and its good that the Cenobites get as much screentime as they should (next to none) as the Hellraiser idea isn't all "Cenobites" and "boxes" its deeper than that. Those who are looking for a great movie, BUY THIS. Those who love Hellraiser BUY THIS, those who just love horror, BUY THIS and those who would like to see Ashley Lawrence, well... BUY HELLSEEKER NOW!
Take it from me you will NOT regret ever seeing this film, it will touch you in ways you cannot describe
(All through watching it I freeze and get Goosebumps- every time!)
:O)
Hellraiser: Inferno (2000)
Hmmmmmmmm?
Admittedly I wasn't too sure of this movie at first
Being a large Hellraiser fan, it upset me. The mythos had changed so much, the favourite characters had not been mentioned and the Cenobites were not very "Hellraiser-ish"
But, after a few attempts I now LOVE this movie. I accept its individual and sways off the Hellraiser guidelines. But....... The series DID need a focus since the previous two movies screwed up the Hellraiser-lore. The acting was top notch and it was good to see a few familiar actors in it. All I can say is that this movie brought a classic horror series into the twenty-first century, and succeeded. Not many other horrors can claim that. Usually they are all just repeats of their predecessors.
On a final note
I loved this film, Story- 10/10 Acting- 10/10 Effects- 9/10 Makeup- 7/10 Hellraiserishness- 1/10
