Yellowstone (2018–2024)
10/10
Such a great show
16 February 2025
Yellowstone has easily become one of my favorite shows on tv. Every season has been fantastic. It sucks Kevin Costner couldn't finish the series and had to miss the last 6 episodes because of conflicting schedules. I still think they do as good as job as possible without him, I'm sure the ending would've been better with him but it was still worth watching. They now plan on doing a spin-off with Rip and Beth. I'm definitely looking forward to that. I hope the rest of the Dutton family makes some appearances. This series had plenty of action and drama to keep everyone satisfied. The cast is just about perfect as can be as they all give incredible performances. The cinematography is also as good as it gets on tv and shows just how beautiful Montana is. I was completely hooked on this show and was one of the few shows I still watched live because I loved it that much.

Kind of disappointing
14 February 2025
The Wheel of Time has to be one of the bigger disappointments to come out on the last few years. I never read any of the books (or even heard of them) so I had no expectations as far as staying true to the source material because I knew nothing about it. If anything though I had pretty high expectations because of how great the trailers looked and how much people were talking about it. Well, the trailers are like most trailers by making it look better than the actual movie or show is. Season 3 is about to come out and even though I know better and shouldn't give it a chance. I will but my expectations are low this time.

I've Enjoyed It
14 February 2025
The Walking Dead: Darryl Dixon has absolutely lived up to all the hype. Like most, Darryl was one of my favorite characters from the original show so I've been looking forward to this. It didn't disappoint. This follows the story of fan favorite Darryl Dixon as he travels across the ocean to France. There he's put in charge of protecting a young boy who's thought to be the savior for humanity. Between this, Dead City and The Ones Who Live, The Walking Dead is back and as good as ever. This reminds me of the early seasons of the original where you couldn't wait until the next episode instead of just watching because you put so much time into it and wanted to see what happens but it almost felt like a chore. This show has refreshed a franchise many thought was on its last leg and a show where it can get a few years of being really exciting.

The Night Agent (2023– )
S1 was great...S2 not so much
13 February 2025
I have to say that I came away impressed with The Night Agent. I actually liked the first season so much that I couldn't stop watching and binged the entire season over the course of a weekend. Then the second season came out and I was hoping for more of the same. While I thought the second season was worth watching it wasn't nearly as good the first. The series is about a rookie FBI agent (Gabriel Basso) who gets assigned to the basement of the White House to guard a phone that never rings. Until one night it does. What follows is an action packed conspiracy thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the series. I know this series has been killing it on Netflix as both seasons did very well and among their most watched shows ever. I saw they plan on doing a third season and I can't wait to see where this show goes.

The Morning Show (I) (2019– )
8/10
Such an amazing cast
13 February 2025
The Morning Show is a solid drama led by such an amazing cast. It takes you behind the scenes of a morning show and gives you a candid look at what makes the show go and the lives of the people involved in it. It may start a little slow for some but stick with it because it gets better as the show goes on. It seems like the entire cast has been nominated for an Emmy for their jobs on this show (Steve Carrel, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Jon Hamm, Holland Taylor, etc, etc.) and for good reason...they were all terrific! It's obviously a star studded cast but it's not only the stars that make this show so good, the writing is fantastic as well. Like most shows the first season is the best but even though the other seasons may not be quite as good as the first, they're still pretty darn good.

Entertaining Enough
13 February 2025
While The Falcon and the Winter Soldier isn't as good as Loki or WandaVision, it's still a really good show. It's an action packed thriller from start to finish. Like most things from Marvel, this show will grab you and pull you into their world from the very first episode and not let go. While all these Marvel series ties into their ongoing story from the movies, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier actually ended having a much bigger impact in the MCU than most of their other series. It shows the start of how Sam Wilson/The Falcon starts his journey to becoming the new Captain America. It also brings you the John Walker (Wyatt Russell) character who joins Bucky/Winter Soldier in the new Thunderbolts movie coming out. You'll have so much fun watching this show that you'll have binged the entire season before you know it. If you plan on watching the new Captain America movie or the Thunderbolts movie then this is a must watch.

The Agency (2024– )

May start slow for some but stay with it...it's worth it
11 February 2025
For anyone who loves games of cat and mouse involved in the spy world then The Agency is for you. It's not the best spy series that I've seen but it's definitely worth watching. Michael Fassbender is perfect for roles like this, as is Jeffery Wright. The two of them are incredibly underrated actors. Add in Richard Gere, Katherine Waterston and Saura Lightfoot-Leon and you have one of the most talented casts on tv. The show might start off slow for some but stay with it because it does pick up. It just takes its time as it builds its world and its characters but if you don't have the patience for slow burn, well told shows then this isn't for you. The Agency does a great job of showing the cost and the sacrifices it takes to be in this line of work. I hope we get several seasons of this.

Silo (2023– )

Really Enjoyed It
10 February 2025
I just read Silo got renewed for another season so I'm looking forward to seeing where this show goes. This show really is every bit as good as everyone says it it. It currently has a 87% on Rotten Tomatoes from both critics and audience and a 8.2 here. It has those great scores for a reason. This is definitely one of the best new shows of the last few years. The seasons may start a little for some, not me, but the tension continues to build and build until the last few episodes are can't miss. It takes place in a dystopian future where everyone lives in a huge silo hundreds of stories underground. They live there with a bunch of rules that they all believe are in place to protect them. It has a star studded cast led by Rebecca Ferguson and supported by Tim Robbins, Shane McRae, Will Patton, Common, Iain Glen, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones, and more. With that cast, the great writing and great visuals this is a cant miss thriller.

Ghosts (2021– )

You'll have fun watching this
8 February 2025
Ghosts is one of the funniest shows currently on tv. It's about Samantha, a freelance journalist, and Jay, a up and coming chef, who decide to leave the big city and put all their money in to buy a run down country estate and turn it into a bed and breakfast. While their Sam falls and hits her head, when she wakes up she can see ghosts. There are a bunch that live in their new house as they can't leave the property. Sam is the first living person that can see and hear them. What follows is a very funny show. Ghosts currently has a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 8.0 here so you can see it's loved by both the audience and critics. If you're looking for a new show to just have fun watching then Ghosts is the show for you.

Foundation (2021– )
10/10
One of the best sci-fi shows I've ever seen
8 February 2025
Foundation is definitely a must watch for any sci-fi fan. I never read the source material and it seems that most of the people who don't like this are mad because it's not exactly like the book. Some people don't understand that these shows and movies are adapted or based off the source material. Some parts are a little slow and throws the pace off a little as it builds its world but not slow enough where it makes it bad. The visuals are as good as anything you'll find on tv. You can tell they put a lot of money into it and it shows. This also has some great characters that will make you invested in the show and actually care about what happens to them. Foundation has ended up surprising me then just about any show that I can remember. It really has become one of my favorite sci-fi shows that I've ever seen.

Loved It
8 February 2025
I never played the Fallout games or knew anything about them so I had no idea what to expect but I have to say that I've really enjoyed it so far. This show hooked me from the first episode and held my attention to the last. I binged the entire season in two days and was still hoping for more episodes when I was done. It seems like some of the people who actually played the games didn't like it as much but as long as try not to compare it to the game and just enjoy it for what it is...and that's an entertaining fantasy/sci-fi series. The series should be judged on its own and not compared to the game. The world building and cast are the best things about the show and I can't wait for more. I promise you'll have a blast watching this and will want to binge it as fast as you can.

Tracker (2024– )
8/10
Most watched show on tv for a reason
6 February 2025
Tracker is every bit as good as the reviews here have pointed out. It's about a man named Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley) who's dad raised him giving him tools to be a survivalist. He uses those skills and his natural instincts to find missing people and collect rewards. He has team that includes a lawyer, a business handler and tech expert that helps him find these people. Colter will do any and everything to find these missing people. I'm not saying this is the best show that in tv but it is quite the entertaining show. This is a procedural show that has a new case every week. Justin Hartley absolutely kills it as the lead here and makes the show worth watching. It's the #1 show on tv and currently has a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes so it's liked by both the audience and critics.

Paradise (2025– )

Hooked me from the start
2 February 2025
Warning: Spoilers
I had no idea what to expect going into this show but was blown away by how much I enjoyed it. Paradise is about a secret agent (Sterling K. Brown) who's assigned to protect the president (James Marsden). The president gets killed at the end of the first episode and from there it's a whodunit story to figure out what happened. Oh yeah, this takes place in an underground city after an apocalyptic event destroyed the world. Who saw that coming? I was at the edge of seat throughout each episode, I really hope they have enough material to make this show go for a few seasons. This series hooks you from the opening episode and keeps you entertained throughout the entire season. I can't recommend this show enough.

Black Doves (2024– )

Starts slow but gets better
28 January 2025
I just finished watching Black Doves and want to see more. Black Doves currently has a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes so it's obviously a hit with both critics and the audience. It stars Keira Knightley, Ben Whishaw and Sara Lancashire. All 3 and the rest of the cast were all terrific. I won't be surprised to see this show get nominated for multiple awards come award season. It has plenty of action, drama, comedy and twists and turns to entertain everyone. There are so many spy shows and some especially great ones this year so you have to be good enough to stick out of you want people to notice and Black Doves definitely does that. It's a must watch for any fan of spy series.

You'll be hooked once you start
15 January 2025
Elementary was such a great show that it's actually underrated as far as cop shows go. This series follows Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) as he leaves London for New York after being in rehab. His father makes him live with a sober companion, Dr. Joan Watson (Lucy Lui). Watson is a former surgeon who quit after losing one of her patients. She now helps addicts stay sober and takes on Sherlock. The two of them then begin consulting with the NYPD solving their most difficult cases. This show was loved by both critics and audiences alike. It has a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 8.0 here. It did well enough to go for 7 fantastic seasons. Just a fair warning, you'll be hooked once you start this series so give yourself enough time to binge through it.

Battlestar Galactica (2004–2009)

Couldn't stop watching
14 January 2025
Battlestar Galactica is so beautifully written and acted that it takes you into their world in such a great way. I never saw the original version from the 70's because it was before I was born but I can't imagine it being as good as this. The special effects aren't very good but it doesn't matter because that's not what makes a good show anyway. It's the writing and acting and that's as good as these reviews here have said. Just look at these reviews, 90% of them are positive. It has 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 8.7 here, making it one of the highest rated sci-fi shows on IMDB. The story is consistently moving forward and never feels like there's any filler episodes. This show contains real social, political and religious issues and does it in such an entertaining way. I binged through this series as fast as I could and when it was over I wanted more.

On Call (2025– )
8/10
Better Than Expected
10 January 2025
On Call follows the police force in Long Beach, California and all they have to go through protecting and serving the community. It mostly follows a pair of police officers (Trojan Bellisario and Brandon Larracuente) as they respond to call after call on their daily shift. I have to say that I really enjoyed this even more than I expected too. I was just looking for a show to kill some time with and what I found is one of the better cop shows I've seen this year. It's too gritty for network tv so don't expect a show like the ones you see all the time. This is a raw and believable show on what cops have to go through on a daily basis. The episodes are short at a half hour apiece but they pack plenty of excitement in that half hour.

Terrific
9 January 2025
American Primeval is one of the better shows I've seen in the last year and I've seen some terrific shows so that's saying something. This miniseries shows how shockingly cruel and violent the West really was. I have to warn you that there are some really violent and gory scenes so if that bothers you then this show might not be for you. It has several different plots to follow but all of them are captivating. It doesn't shy away from how ugly and savage people were for their desire to get land. I know the year just started but this is still going to end up being on most peoples best of the year list. I was entertained from the very first episode to the last and can't recommend this show enough.

Dune: Prophecy (2024– )

Already looking forward to next season
7 January 2025
I've been looking forward to Dune: Prophecy ever since I first heard about it. Then I saw the trailers and my excitement grew even more. Well, after seeing it I can say that it without a doubt lived up to my expectations. Your expectations have to be realistic though, if you're expecting something as perfect as the Dennis Villenueve directed films then you're going to be disappointed, but if you go into it just expecting a perfectly paced, fascinating series that will keep you thoroughly invested every episode then you'll love it. The world building that takes place and the attention to every detail is as good as it gets for a tv show. This series is best watched binged because I can promise when you finish an episode you can't wait to start the next. You're not going to want to wait a week between episodes, it's that good.

Definitely Worth Watching
6 January 2025
Being a Taylor Sheridan fan I've been looking forward to Lioness ever since I first heard about it. Then I saw the trailers and my excitement grew. This is definitely another hit in a long line of hits for Sheridan. It seems like almost everything he does is terrific. This follows the story of Joe (Zoe Saldana) who works for the CIA and their war on terror. As she struggles to balance her personal and professional lives she recruits an undercover operative named Cruz (Laysla De Oliveira) into the Lioness Program to work alongside her in stopping some terrorists, then in season 2 the two of them recruit a new Lioness (Genesis Rodriguez) to stop a bunch of new bad guys. I just finished season 2 and actually liked it more than the first. I'm looking forward to more seasons of this in the near future, especially if they're as good as this second season. Morgan Freeman, Nicole Kidman, Michael Kelly, Jill Wagner, Dave Annable and LaMonica Garrett also star in the terrific series.

Preacher (2016–2019)

Entertaining
6 January 2025
Preacher has to be one of the hardest shows that I've had to describe in all of my reviews. It was so bizarre that if I tried explaining it to you you probably wouldn't want to watch it. So I won't and you should. The biggest thing I can tell you about this show is that I promise you've never seen anything like it and I promise you'll have a good time watching it. It has plenty of violence, drama, comedy, mystery and thrills to keep just about anyone entertained. If you didn't watch this while it was on that's actually an advantage for you because this show is definitely better watched as a binge instead of waiting week to week and then months between seasons. It's not going to be on anyone's best ever list but it's still definitely worth the time to watch.

The Good Place (2016–2020)

Surprised by how much I liked this
6 January 2025
I'm actually surprised by how much I ended up liking The Good Place. I gave it a chance while looking for a comedy to have on in the background while I do other things but ended up glued to my tv binging through all 4 seasons as fast as I could. I've heard nothing but great things about this show for the longest time, read all the great reviews, saw it has a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes and that it was nominated for a ton of awards, including a bunch of Emmy nominations, but yet I still put off watching it for some reason. I think it's because I enjoy other types of shows over comedy and was always involved watching other shows I just ended up forgetting about this one. My mistake because I ended up loving this one. It has an incredible cast led by the legendary Ted Danson and Kristen Bell. The supporting cast is just as good and wouldn't be nearly as good without them.

Funnier Than Expected
5 January 2025
I just finished A Man on the Inside and have to say I really enjoyed it. It was much funnier than I expected. The show is about a retired college professor (Ted Danson) who recently lost his wife and is looking for something new in his life. He responds to an add in the paper from a private investigator (Lilah Richcreek Estrada) who's looking for someone to go undercover at a San Francisco retirement home to find someone who stole a valuable necklace from one of the residents. It's gotten nothing but great reviews from both critics and the audience, it currently has a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. If you're looking for a fun show to have some laughs and can binge in just a few hours then give this a try. You wont be disappointed.

Vikings: Valhalla (2022–2024)

Terrific
5 January 2025
When I first heard about Vikings: Valhalla I couldn't wait to see it. I knew it was going to be hard to live up to the original but this not not only met my expectations but surpassed them in every way. Of course it wasn't as good as the original, I wasn't expecting it to but it's still a very good show that can stand on its own. I actually liked it so much that I binged the first two seasons again before watching this last and final season. I just did the same thing with Season 3...I binged it as fast as possible. Even though most of the reviews are positive there are some that didn't like it as much as others and I'm really not sure why. If you liked the original then there's no reason why you shouldn't like this one too. I hope they do another spin-off because the more Vikings the better.

Ewan McGregor makes this worth watching
3 January 2025
Obi-Wan Kenobi may not the best thing from Star Wars that I've seen but it's still worth watching. Ewan McGregor is a great actor and one of the best parts of the prequel trilogy. I was really looking forward to this when I first read about it and the even more so after I saw the trailers. It did not disappoint! I don't consider myself a huge Star Wars fan but I normal fan who does enjoy most of them. I really liked The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett was worth watching. I don't understand most of these negative reviews, it's like most of the people writing them didn't want to enjoy them. If you saw him in the prequels and saw the trailers what were you expecting that you didn't get? Anyway, if you're a fan of Star Wars I definitely recommend you give this a try.
