Rick and Morty: How Poopy Got His Poop Back (2023)
Okay start but do feel there's a lot of potential
It was an okay episode, however, I do really feel the potential this new season, and more importantly, new actors can bring. The voices are definitely different but I feel like they can bring a new and more raw and emotional twist on the characters we've known the past 6 seasons. I really hope they decide to go beyond the usual plot lines and explore the character dynamics and overarching storyline more. While I understand episodical 25 min sitcom eps are easy, I really do feel like they could do so so much more with this new start. I wish them all the best and recommend keeping an eye out for new eps.
Little Demon: Domestic Disturbance VIII (2022)
definitely one of my favorite episodes by far
The action, comedy, acting, writing, overall look, and DRAMA? This episode was so well done.
Waiting for new eps every week of any shows can be tiring, especially after a slow week, but this episode was definitely worth the wait
First, in my opinion the overall look and action sequences of each episode in a show is so important to the overall quality. Show creators have a infinite choices when it comes to each shot and scene, so when they consistently do a great job at the visual portrayal of the story it definitely makes the episode all the more amazing and lovable. This episode is just that, consisting of amazing visuals and action sequences
Second, I'm always here for the serialized drama and this episode has it. The whole fight is so well done and heartbreaking to say the least. They do an amazing job with the overall plot and structure as well as dialogue.
ALSO the a and B plots can sometimes be too much in general in all tv shows but they do a great job at keeping the focus on Laura and Chrissy and I still enjoyed the rat war thing going on. ALSO benigan (not sure I spelled that right) and Helene's side storyline was also so well done. It was small but them leaving and deciding that it's not worth their energy was interesting for side characters who were at first seemingly cliche (mainly benigan). Definitely have been giving them more depth and I enjoy it-also love Helene
It was funny, entertaining, heartbreaking, and overall my favorite ep yet
Everything was so well done and am looking forward for the next ep.
Little Demon (2022)
Has potential!
Being a fan of Rick and morty and animation in general, I've been wanting to try this show for awhile. I ended up watching all eps in one day and actually liked it. You can tell, like the beginning of a lot of shows, there still coming into their own and can become much better overtime.
I love the voice actors, animation, comedy, etc. The only thing I'd change would be focusing more on Chrissy and figuring out her family and powers. I really like the parents, especially the mom, but would want a little more focus on her. I feel like the guy friend is cool too but the best friend character has the tendency to be cliche in a lot of shows so maybe not as much focus?
Also the "odd" character figuring out the "normal life" feels overused as well in general. Nothing they've done so far is boring or bad, I'd just be curious to see more of the demonic stuff and issues she and the rest of the family deals with as well.
I am looking forward to new episodes every week and excited for the drama.
Overall it has really good potential and excited for more.
