great
Great show, with great music and its nice to hear some songs i hadn't heard before not just play the typical ones or the typical hit bands. yea it has lots of drugs and sex and stuff like that and so did the 70's, can't understand the crying from some people here about drugs and sex and calling it a cliché, this is like it was in the 70's, and people did smoke cigarettes and did do bad things and they were thought of as cool. but i understand why the big companies started to hire just some people who could sing or could'nt sing, just do anything they want and let them write songs for them like a lot of the so called big stars today that can barely sing or write a song or play an instrument. it must have been very hard at times to control 5 guys drunk and out of their minds on drugs most of the time but still great artists and musicians that wanted to do their own thing and new things, that is what made those times so great and the music even better. but at least we still have thousands of great bands that are big but will never be as big as the bands from the 70's, but at least they are doing their own thing and get a following on the internet and through touring. but back then also a lot of bands didn't get anywhere because of company problems and inside troubles, but having a hit on the radio is probably more about the looks and stuff then the actual music itself. and yea you have to get used to the actors playing the famous people but you will get over it, they do their job well but of course they don't look exactly like the people bot close enough.
but watch this show if you want great music and a little inside look of the live in the 70's, of course you have seen it many times before both better and worse but why now relive again??

good
fine movie and its about something that actually happened although its probably not exactly the same. but to the reviewer that doesn't know anything about fishermen or life in small town in iceland, they are hung over because they were coming from a dance the night before and this is just how it was here and changed only few years ago, those didn't have much life outside of work so they drank a little more but at least they went and met other people in a bar instead of today where most people just drink at home. and the guy never said he was a hero, but he did safe himself and swim to shore in very difficult situation where most people had died, and he hasn't had a great life after this. but the movie shows how life was in iceland in those years and is very realistic doing that. but there are always some people that think they know better then others or how things happened. even people giving movies bad reviews because people are smoking or some stupid things like that, and movies can be good even if you don't like the drinking or whatever is happening in them. just watch it and try what you would have done.

good show
was just finishing episode 9 and i have to say i would have wanted to see much more. good show with good acting and Slater is back to form. And i don't agree there is just one hot actor here, Madchen Amick is very very beautiful, she should have been a much bigger star. and the supporting cast is very good too. the script is fine but of course it has some holes, its difficult to have it perfect on subject like this. the directing is good and the camera work is very good, similar to good movies. to bad these big corporations just think about money but i bet they got some money for this show so why not keep it going, its seems to me that a lot of people liked this show.
