A western & so much more

Slight spoiler alert! I watched this show from episode 1 when it originally aired back inn 1988. Yes it was a western, but the actors/characters made it so much more. It was a good mix of family friendly daily struggles of the time along with action gun fights & heroic undertones that were both big & small. Unfortunately, the show struggled to stay on the air & yo-yo'd the viewers back & forth with if it would return time after time. It must of been hard on both writers & actors not knowing how storylines could be played out, especially the on going will they or won't they between the leads. Sadly, the viewers were left with never having closure & it's why the series is a 9 out of 10 for me.
