Defending Jacob (2020)
Avery good series for first 7 marinating but that 8th episode burnt
We were enjoying this series a great deal even if it was a bit predictable. The story telling (script) and acting was on point. Problem with this series was it missed the landing on the last episode. Felt rushed in the end and honestly made me drop my score overall by a point / Honestly the final episode felt shoe horned in with how it was told (did not go along with everything else on the previous 7 episodes) I had to look to see if there were 10 episodes in the season because I could not believe that it just went this route in the end. It honestly could have used a couple more episodes to finish the story off properly.
Roma (2018)
I tried
I sincerely tried to get into this movie. I was honestly bored throughout the film. I loved the camera work and get what this was going for. I just could not get invested as much as I wanted to. Not a bad movie. Just not keeping me tuned in. Although I do say again Cinematography was very nice throughout the film.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
Absolutely what i wanted in this movie and then some.
Not sure why people are on the down side with some reasons that make no sense but film is subjective.
I have seen this movie 3 times twice in Dolby ATMOS and once in IMAX... Loved it. I could feel the tension the first viewing and was not sure what to grade it honestly. After 3nd viewing I enjoyed it even more. The culmination of 10 years showed up on this screen. It is a singular movie no matter what anyone says.
There is a beginning a middle and an end. The fact a villain won this time probably will not sit well with people.. I was hoping for a SNAP and screen go black to credits back when I heard of this movie being filmed (I came close).
Next year's Avengers movie will do what previous movies did... be connected but NOT A SEQUEL. i honestly think we may be getting some Skrulls involved as well.
Thanos was great... Loved the Brolin performance and loved how threatening he was.
I plan on seeing this again as I use Sinemia card for 3 movies a month.
The fact someone put up a review with nothing to describe the film except they were going home to watch "the Wolverine" (bad movie IMO...Watch LOGAN instead) is insane... but being subjective I guess that is people's prerogative. Just don't hate to hate and be a toxic fan. It is definitely unbecoming for people to be that way.
FYI I would actually give this a 9.5 in my eyes but we cant rate 9.5 so a 10 is rounded up.. my favorite marvel film is still Captain America the Winter Soldier.
ENJOY THIS
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
Wow people really missed the boat
You will have to see this movie a 2nd time.. so much to process after 1 showing. Once you see it a second time its an amazing film. So many chances taken in this Star Wars film.. Some pay off and others may not. I applaud them with is movie. Bravo and I can't wait to see what trilogy Brian Johnson will be heading up in the near future.
Da uomo a uomo (1967)
Classic Spaghetti western
Love this movie and have it in my archive. not sure why someone would
call it a leone rip off. He just happens to be the most famous of the
directors. But there were other influential ones created by the likes
of Sergio Corbucci "Django" and this one by Giulio Petroni. All very
entertaining all dubbed. If you say rip off then Leone rip offed
Kurosawa .. but in my eyes its not rip off... remake or takings ideas
is flattering in my eyes...
Death rides a horse is great for a nice Spaghetti western marathon

Life on the Line (2015)
Cure for Insomnia
This is a slow burn with some so so acting. Its hard to describe what that means except that it feels like it takes so damn long to get to so called plot points. Also by the way the big storm that is a part of this movie (like a whisper). Basically this movie is all over the place with its story line. John Travolta has seen better days behind the camera for sure but is trying to do a decent job with what he has to work with. Same goes along with Devon Sawa who is the BF to Kate Bosworth's character. It is literally an hour before the day of the storm with all these slow burn sub plots. clichés are numerous here. I honestly can only give this 4 out of 10 or (2 out of 5 SCHMOES) not fresh
