Romantic Rewrite (2022)
Good Storyline until the end
I felt like the overall storyline was good, but there times when it felt the adults actors were acting more like high school students. I liked the chemistry between the two main characters, but at the end, they never explained why Reed and Zach were shaking hands on the beach, and from there on, it was like, "Oh, we only have a few minutes to wrap this up". Because of that, it lost the chemistry and tension that had made it good. The ending was stiff, and then they go from the wedding to them kissing in what appeared to be a house, and it ended. I feel like they did the very thing he did in his book that she was trying to correct.
Love in Glacier National: A National Park Romance (2023)
So So
I have seen quite a few Ashley Newbrough films, and she was always good in them. However, in this one, I felt her acting was stiff. When I watch a movie, I want to feel like it's "real", which good acting will produce. I didn't feel it in this one. I felt she and the others were trying to hard to pull it off. Also, in the story the sister is waiting to see if she is going to be pregnant. It is the third, and final time, for her to have IVF. She is by herself, while everyone else is at a fundraiser event, and she finds out she is not pregnant. They never address it or acknowledge it, again. Instead of her being devastated, she acts like she is happy and does not have a care in the world. The main storyline, itself, was good, and the mountain scenes were beautiful.
The Gift of Peace (2022)
Best Movie this Christmas Season
Having personally lost someone and having to process that loss during the holidays, this movie touched my heart in so many ways and was such a blessing to me. Nikki DeLoach and Brennan Elliott, along with the other actors, did a wonderful job of portraying those who are struggling to process the loss of loved ones. Their stories are genuine and very touching as they share what they are feeling. They are honest in their grief and in the way they share their hearts. I hope that others who watch this are as touched by the senitments expressed as much as I was, especially if they are still processing the loss of someone special in their lives.
The Baker's Son (2021)
Could not finish watching
I love Hallmark movies, and I thought this one would be fun to watch. I found myself playing solitaire on my phone while trying to plow through it. I finally couldn't bear it any longer and turned it off. The scenery was beautiful, and it had a great cast, but I just couldn't get into the story. :(
