Trigger Warning (2024)
typical b movie trash made by a nobody
Typical b movie trash made by a nobody...
the food of Netflix, everytime you see a film and go how did I never see this before. Remind yourself, its on here because it was terrible - Streaming is now the straight to DVD of TV and Film.
Lots of horrible old men being beaten up by a little supermodel, such a crap movie by any standards.
Just the trailer should worry you, since when can a jacket stop momentum? Very stupid action sequences that made no sense.
Bad writing, bad everything, I am sure the budget was very low either way so I don't think they need to make much money back, straight to streaming trash.
The Fall Guy (2024)
this film was so boring
Great idea but just turned into your typical narcist neurotic female man hating thing for no reason, emily blunt was so boring and they both seemed all monotonous with no real emotion in any line they delivered.
It seems film goers now have such a low IQ that anything passes as great these days. Even the jokes weren't funny as the delivery was so flat and stale.
Really glad that i didnt waste the money going to see this in the cinema as it was definitely not worth the price of admission.
Ryan Gosling is great, Blunt is hot but monotonous, and thats about it for the entire film really, lost interest when the man hating started and didnt really get it back either.
Sick of all these films where people get hit 30 times and have no marks on their face.
Storyline and plot is crap...complete disappointment...
Road House (2024)
Just completely horrible...
Wow a mistake within the first 15 minutes, he beat 5 people to the floor, but only drives 4 to the hospital.
Script is horrible, this Dalton is a patronising sarcastic idiot with no reasons to do what he does. The nurse is rubbish actress with bad dialogue, actually they all have bad dialogue when i start listing them down.
Please be my cooler, no, 30 seconds later, changes his mind, yawn
the original roadhouse was cheesy because of its age, but still a good film at its core, this, is none of it.
The CGI fights look horrible too unfortunately, the final one is the only fight thats any good, but still seen so much better...
Gran Turismo (2023)
Easily a 7 but not more then that
Good Story, good pacing and a good pair of leads with Archie Madekwe and David Harbour and also good acting from Djimon Hounsou as the dad.
Geri Halliwell is wooden and come of as just bad and fake, but she isn't an actor anyway. Orlando Bloom comes across like this is a joke for him and has horrible acting and accent.
I really enjoyed it for the story, but it did make a bit of a chore to get through with some of the Orlando story build up at the start as he is so bad. But as it becomes less about him and more about the two leads, the film gets better.
Watch it if its on streaming, you will enjoy it as a whole, but I don't think I would have enjoyed it if I had to pay or had any positive pre expectations for it.
Book Club: The Next Chapter (2023)
the ugly old people who grope you at weddings
This film is truly terrible, and all it seems to do for purpose is glorify the ugly old spinsters who grope young men at parties.
The mother in law who gets drunk and makes horrible propositions but you cant say anything without upsetting the family.
You know the awkward moment a moose twice your age makes a sexual innuendo that you would love to reply to them in front of the room of people with an honest assessment of reality.
The whole stripper scene you know the actor is sitting there, get the paycheck, get the paycheck...
film was pointless and looking at the other reviews, none of the fans wanted this either so all it did was ruin the memories of the original.
Day Shift (2022)
Well that was horrible...
Starts off pretty slick, but then the first fight happens, its ridiculous, tries action that looks bad, tries comedy that looks bad, goes on way too long.
That's pretty much the whole film, comedy looks bad, the action looks bad, and it goes on way too long.
I saw the trailer and was really excited for this but this was a do something while it plays film, really really disappointed.
I want to say there is this awesome bit in the movie that is worth watching for, but there is not one of them either unfortunately.
We keep watching them, even if we don't end up enjoying them, so Netflix just keeps throwing out these rushed garbage movies.
Welcome to Wrexham (2022)
About as good as a hole in your head
Started off good, then just turned into an American pisstake of Wales and England. Not funny, not much filming of any actual games or results. The last episode was 40 minutes of satire, it made no sense whatsoever.
Every episode also just seems to be the same, jokes about being stupid Hollywood people who are in other their head so they don't know, it's quickly becoming too repetitive to enjoy and you start fast forwarding to find something that is actually football related or informative.
I think after everything it's been reported that Wrexham still didn't manage to get out the league anyway so I am only watching to see the reception from Wales when they don't pull off what they promised.
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
Great Gillian but not a great film
Great villain, but poor film, unfunny goofy montages. Thor is just a joke now and now the all powerful God you tuned in to see.
It's a well made film which is easy when you have 200million to throw at a Marvel movie these days, but a well made bad movie is still a bad movie.
It's another background MCU film you can put on while concentrating on doing something else, but then again during Phase 4 what Marvel film hasn't?
Not even excited for a team up or overarching story anymore...no direction...everyone thought at first it would be Secret Wars but now I lost all interest.
Multiverse of Madness was bad, Spiderman was alright, can't remember any of the others it's that bleak in the MCU these days, same as Star Wars. Background bloat content now, no exiting plan or story we can watch unfold ready for a team up. No ultimate villain like Thanos, nothing...empty like the movie direction...
Lightyear (2022)
Stars are just for the effects
So Buzz Lightyear was a Space Ranger who failed his mission, crashed his ship, stranded a colleague and a rookie, failed as a test pilot so they had to make a colony over nearly a decade (instead of in that time just flying back normal speed and no one decided to come investigate what happened to them) to find out his alternate self managed to just walk into a future ship and get into someone's super power armour and take their robot army? Who doesn't care and no one wants to find out who he was? To then find a way to go back and erase everything that happened and his mistakes crashing the ship 62 years ago. But actually he would rather let all those people suffer their loses on earth because they made a new temp family on this planet while stranded so let's keep it and just go on as we were? So all this time and energy was also not needed? They could have just loved and not tried over and over and over relentlessly to achieve hyperspace travel again and go home?
Only a kids film like toddlers would be this lazy in its plot and make no sense. I thought it had been written by Andy himself by the end it was so ridiculous.
The Gray Man (2022)
One of the worst action films released
The whole film makes no sense, no point me ruining it with spoiler as you don't need to watch it anyway.
Jessica Hemwick is rubbish, everyone is just measuring dixks, including her for some reason. She also looks weird, they have whited her out and dressed her like Margaret Thatcher instead of letting her be the Asian good actor I thought she used to be?
Plot makes no sense, certain scenes obviously had lots cut out as the cuts made some of them actually impossible as they messed the fight continuity.
Usual little girl flipping around throwing huge men around who would snap her neck in minutes. Why does every woman have to be a rubbish action hero these days? Ana De Armas was good in blade runner 2049, and knock knock, but James Bond and she was crap.
Lots of the jokes are not funny, everyone is somehow invincible, the police don't seem to exist until the plot wanted them to at the end.
Its all CGI, and if it wasn't obvious CGI it would be better but you know it is as it's not great and looks different to the physical effect, that's the problem.
If you own Netflix, it's free, but I have to say I spent most of it either doing something else or rewinding it to go, "that makes no sense, did they really do that? Yep, they did."
I have it a 2 only because its production value and actors involved, and because it's free to watch if you already have Netflix so it has some pros. But they are nothing to do with the actually film.
Army of the Dead (2021)
Why do they keep letting him make films?
His daughter committed suicide as she kept getting bullied because her dad kept making only really really bad films, so to honour her memory he keeps making really really bad films?
The guy killed his daughter and doesn't care.
Whole thing makes no sense and doesn't work from scene one. So if the army is transporting anything top secret and the occupants think it could be a tactical nuke first thing they do is swerve out the way when a car tried to attack them. First thing you would ram/shoot the car so it can't make it to the vehicle they are supposed to be protecting.
Who film is rubbish like all his others.
Black Widow (2021)
Marvel has run out of steam
You can see they made less effort with this one, it's pretty boring and slow paced too and gets tedius really fast. After about 20 minutes I was looking for something else to do while it played out.
Getting really bored of assassin's fighting in the street and everyone still going about their business and no police ever seem to turn up.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch (2021)
Tell yourself this, star wars is now only for children and money
The bad batch is the worst written star wars show I have ever seen. The whole premise and plot is stupid and makes no sense. Everything is just geared for kids to buy toys of the new Clone Force 99 and all the realism and good story's and missions have been replaced with single episodes that cross into other properties to tie stuff together even of you don't need it.
We meet Fennick Shand, Cad Bane, Sendula pilot person for Rebels and many many other people linked to other characters, it's just a filler cross price with no direction and no reason.
The amazing clone force 99, who are captured, manipulated, bribed, taken advantage of, and risk their lives for a random child, constantly, in every episode just so they can meet a character from another more popular program and try and get some fan service we didn't need.
It's now just a background program when I am doing something else, was really looking forward to some Filoni Clone Wars magic, but just got this pile of unrealistic rubbish instead.
M.O.D.O.K. (2021)
It's like a really crap soap opera
It's all family drama, plot is boring, jokes are stupid, characters are all stupid, script is terrible. I don't know how they can call this adult animation, it's terrible, remove the blood and just give it to children who don't care about whether a program is any good or not.
Loki (2021)
Wow, people still give 7 or 8 stars even when they review it as boring
Wow, people still give 7 or 8 stars even when they review it as boring.
Look, this show starting looking interesting, but when you realize the trailer was all made up of episode 1 you will realise how boring it actually is. Have not enjoyed any episode, the acting is not great, or the plot, or the script. I give up on epsisode 3, I have no interest to finish it off.
All this show does is undo everything that has happened so far in the MCU and make everything that happened previously become insignificant which is a massive smack in the infinity saga, audience, thanos and the infinity stones face.
Clarkson's Farm (2021)
Perfect
Easily proves why he is so famous. James May our man in Japan was boring, Hammond's Escapists was just horrible. But this is a genuine, honest, informative, fun, interesting, entertaining, addictive, refreshing new program that I hope continues for a number of more seasons!
Endangered Species (2021)
should of known
Hgorrible film, i mean silent hgill revelation was a huge bomb bad film and rogue on amazon prime is one of the worst films i saw during the pandemic, the girl from transformers no one likes anymore, michael bay fancied her, cant remeber her name.
MEGAN FOX! Thats it.
I didnt put two and two together but after i watched it i was like, what was rogue again, and then was like oh, no wonder it was so bad.
Bad cgi bad script bad acting bad film.
Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)
This was just a horrible jolie train
It was that the whole film was just some sort of test vessel for how do we make Angelina jolie still look younger then 40. Makeup and some visual effects. The behind the scene photos she look skinny and old and haggered and in the film she is all pretty and voluptuous. Hilarious.
And why does her hair and make up look perfect throughout the entire film, and she is a firefighter, very unbelievable not very good one.
Jupiter's Legacy (2021)
The acting can be really bad and it spoils a great story
It's nothing to do with the action or marvel or DC fanboys, it's just unless you are ten years old you realize there is a lot of cringe moments that should have not been in such a big budget production.
The daughter Chloe, is a very bad actor, all of her scenes are let down by her own acting and all of other people's scenes she is in is also just ruined by her own acting. It's a pity when one bad casting can ruin the whole shows vibe and she does, awkwardly and cringely she slowly gets under your skin and you decide whether to keep watching as she does not improve.
Duhamel. So he is not a bad actor, he is ok in Transformers franchise compared to the rest of it but we all know he is cast when they can't get Olyphant. You can tell he should be the one delivering these lines, but I think Duhamel pulls off the size better, Olyphant is a bit of a skinny older man now for some reason. When I saw him in Mandalorian I thought I might have missed a cancer reveal and started searching the internet.
Lady liberty is not a great actor either, but she never has been really, she is one of those actors that is like in a lot of low budget stuff as bit parts.
Action scenes are unfortunately rubbish, not as in effects should be amazing, just more the execution, rubbish looking punches, sometimes fighting off camera to save money I guess but looks very 70's carry on films. Lots of throws and clotheslines and laying on the floor, just horrible fighting really.
I am actually only still watching it as the premise is really interesting, for the daughter it is how do you get millennials to not be a complete dick in this world of YouTube and tiktok? For the son it's very man of steel, dad says don't kill but if he is going to kill someone else and I have to kill to stop it, what do I do? Utopian has got an impossible task.
Virgin River (2019)
Another show about women breaking up homes
Another rubbish drama about a pretty lady falling for a handsome man and then proceeding to try be with him by breaking up a relationship and leaving his unborn child fatherless.
All we do is tell people it's ok to cheat on each other, hate it. No wonder this is the world of unmarried parents and divorced parents, the world of take take take...
Designated Survivor (2016)
Jack Bauer is President
Having to drag myself through the end of season 2 currently so i can get the shorter final season 3 out of the way and mover on to something else.
This is a background TV show, one that you play along while you are doing something else as does not really need much attention.
If i switch off for 2 or 3 episodes then come back, and don't feel like i missed anything, there is no compelling story after the first few episodes.
All ther charactersd are so arrogant, and surprisingly the wife and the son are the worst two, not a enjoyable domestic drama, a boring political story that is really laughable, he makes decisions like Jack Bauer not a president.
If there was a season 4 he would have probably taken down some terrorists as a president when they infiltrated the whitehouse or something, just started getting daft, well definitely season 2 was majorly daft, cant comment on season 3 not got roun d to it and it was a shorter season as they wrapped it up that no one really wanted.
Altered Carbon (2018)
First season 10/10 so I will still give it that, but season 2, crap...
It called the final season broken angels but the second season it's nothing like the book, there is lots that don't even match the main plot, falconer isn't even in broken angels. If you read broken angels you will understand, it's completely different story to this.
Looks like season 2 was a crappy filler season and they may have tried to make season 3 broken angels but I don't know, Mackie was better then I expected but it was just a 8 episode ROM-com, not the sci fi dark noir detective show the first season was.
This will probably dissapear now and become the next True Detective...dead because they messed up the second season...
American Assassin (2017)
Horrible movie in Every way, but mostly major filming errors throughout.
In the first 5 minutes the whole thing feels horrible and fake.
The proposal to his gf, horrible and fake, the extras, horrible and fake, people clap his proposal on the beach even though they were out at sea when he proposed and wouldn't be able to hear. the terrorists walking around with their guns down as extras while everyone still pretends to get shot from nowhere. There's a scene where the main character stops running, it turns to a terrorist shooting people off camera, then it turns back and for some reason he is just standing there ready to take a shot to the leg? Why did he stop on our, oh yeah, bad acting and it was scripted he needed to be shot in the leg. Also he is in 4th the swimming pool and bodies and bullets are flying around him from above, he comes out and no terrorists were there and t HD em pan left t kg ry are still advancing from that direction as how did they shoot down into the pool they hadn't even got to yet? Also when he jumped in the pool they were shooting from the right, when he gets out they are now advancing from his left? So they ran round the beach in a circle quickly off camera? Nope again just bad editing and continuity.
Then they shoot his gf point blank in the neck, she dies, he gets a shot to the shoulder, and crawls over to her. So they walk over and shoot his de as d gf and leave him alive after killing everyone else? Why, oh yeah so they still have a main character, even if it makes no sense at all. Shoot the pretty white girl who is no threat, leave the angry man still crawling in the sand alive after two gun shots??
Then 35 minutes in after many other minor laughable moments. Like Keaton saying people think you slice a neck like this, and then demonstrates nothing, but no you do it like this, then demonstrates. What was the first one then genius? Another section cut out. Then in the same section, they are grabbing on the floor, Sean Atkins is on top chocking the main character, we focus on Keaton as he says a line, it moves back and for some reason Sean Atkins is now being chocked out in a sleeper hold by the main character within seconds? Another section cut out but continuity nof fixed.
So the 35 minute in scene, fake shopping mall made for training with airsoft guns. He sees the target and accomplice on Sean Atkins, he draws a knife, then it cuts to another camera view and his hand is empty and he draws his airsoft pistol and takes put the two targets. They obviously again cut out the scene, but lost the continuity again, who edited this horrible film, a college kid?
Not even half way yet and I could do a huge video highlighting all the script and continuity errors in this film, total b movie rubbish or worse.
Also they never do any tests, just. Emotion tests and off the charts, are these charts still so crap and limited that they can't measure anything better then what they already have?
And how is he off the charts in everything, all his montage he is on his own, no MMA training he just does it on his own, no gun training, he is just at a range in his own. He dropped out of school 3 times so has no intelligence but somehow before his gf was killed they said he was graduating from college, but still never did as dripped out to kill terrorists.
Horrible premise, horrible backstory, horrible acting, horrible filming, horrible continuity.
Also everytime I saw Taylor kitsch I thought he looked like Timothy oliphant, and then when he started trying to act, I wished it was oliphant as he was just as crap in 4th his as he was in True Detective as the gay in denial.
Don't waste your time watching this...
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
They are just trying to recycle star wars, not improve and continue it
SPOILERS BEWARE
Film Starts, the text makes sense, and I am excited, the cinema give a loud roar of agreement as the title rolls, we have a good audience of true fans, all adults no kids. nice.
Now tjhere are little things that i didnt like but looked past, I was ewnjoying this film as a whole up to the end and it is a pity as the ending ruined what was a generally good film for all.
so, the first order can track through hyperspace now, so it means that you cannot hide no longer from them, so that's an issue for the resistance who half way though are now calling themselves rebels again, ok continuity guys make your mind up. Hux/Gleeson turns up looking like palpatine/evil anakin with his weird no sleep eyes and looks like he has aged 20 years since the last film and acts like a panto version of moff tarkin, i will tell you now this film does still copy the original films as if it doesn't notice it for some reason, very strange.
Good actors bad writing in this one.
a plan to take down a dreadnaught backfires, but the moment the tie fighter crashes into the first bomber, i say, sods law i bet a chain reaction makes it crash and blow up all the others all leave just one left, yep low and behold there we go, they all blow up and it leave ones bomber resting with the whole mission on it shoulders in a cliche ending. annoying but oh well nothing major, watch on.
leia is hurt, good little ren scene there, but she uses the force to save herself...so she could have saved crew members, family members, her love of her life Han, but no she uses the first the only time - to selfishly sav herself...feel really sorry that they made leia a useless and now selfish evil person after her death. very silly, but still i dont care about leias character, she turned to drugs and plastic surgery after star wars anyway so i didnt care if they even killed her off before the new ones started.
then there is the whole modern version of dagobah with rey and luke, i actually didnt mind any of it, it has an okay twist with the old and the new, and i have to think that luke has gone a little senile like yoda did when he exiled himself also, loneliness makes you weird we all know this. its not that bad, all little things that still make for a generally good movie.
then fin and rose, rose is horrible character and actor, she cries alot, does nothing really, tell finn she loves him when we all thought him and rey would get together so that gets awkward for the rest of the film too...and makes no sense, unless she and kylo will be an item....i think not....
ruined reys back story, if that is true what she is told, she does not deny it though....amazing scene with kylo and ray and lightsabers, loved it. you learn nothing aboujt snoke and then jsut like that he is gone....ruined that, but still was not too bothered in the overall story of the film so its still ok.
yoda force ghost appears in full colour cgi/puppet....when all the previous force ghosts were a blue tint....so again why ignore the contiuity like that, looked horrible, but it was an ok scene and i understand the ideas behind it.
lots more stuff that annooys you after this but they are all small in compairsson to the one thing that ruins it.
Luke kills himself and there is no reason for it and it ruins star wars, he projects himself as a entity to the battleground, fights kylo in a distraction with no real effort, and supposedly the effort to do that, means he sits on a rock and disspears like ben kenobi...i said if they copy it and do a ben kenobi i am out of here, and then they did....
he didn't need to die, there was no reason why it had to take all his effort to project himself across space using the force, and now who trains rey, probably a force ghost of luke.
I think they were more interested in trying to set up a longer range of films for after this as at the end, there is a decimated rebel alliance, a more powerful unaffected first order, all the originals are gone, nothing was explained, and they now have to start all over again. with one film to go they are going to try and tell the whole story all over again? that will not work, i think there will be an announcement now of 10, 11 and 12 episodes its so obvious.
so a flawed but generally awesome film, that explains nothing and resets everything it starts, that ruins itself at the end by making a useless unmeaningful death that actually removes all hope from the franchise.
i have noticed all the most recent reviews of people who actually watched it are all very low, and it was all the early previews/premiere day with the good reviews, that were probably paid for reviews to give it a buffer of good scores at the start, reviews are so fake/doctored these days at the release
Scream (2015)
Loved Season 1, Season 2 not so much
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS I DO REVEAL THE KILLERS YOU ARE WARNED
I know what made Scream so great was that it centered around one girl throughout the whole thing, and she became more badass as she started getting hardened by each encounter, it was an awesome franchise. Loved it.
Now the TV series was good, and started really good, and season 2 is not bad, but season 1 has the suspense and horror of scream and is really fun, season 2 is like they threw the scream story out the window and then just tried to find a way to make the new story, link to the story they had pretty much finished already which made it well, boring and unbelievable this time.
Again, 1st season was really good, but by season 2, Emma seems to be a whiny girl, blaming her parents for everything and runs around with zero consequences. by season 2 i actually wanted her to get killed off, and it is a pity when the main character is the worst actor out of the group. Audrey, Noah, Stavo, Brooke, they all grew on me over the episodes, but Emma never did. She seemed to blame her bf, police, parents, friends, anyone ran out in the middle of the night, lied to everyone then blamed everyone else if the hid things from her. Just got really childish with her character in season 2 to the point you wanted it to carry on still, but just be about someone else.
In season 2 the killer went from night time scare kills, to killing anyone and everyone at any time of the day, at any place, and a lot of the things they did made no sense, framed the victims, then the next scene bust them out of jail? Make the effort of returning the murder weapon numerous times to audrey to try and frame her, but never actually implicate her with the police, so that was a wasted scene and scenario also, its like they stopped with the effort in season 2. too many mistakes. Make loads of effort cutting someones body parts off that you know will affect a main character, but instead of making another big staged reveal like the others, just burn 2 bodies in a house? the killer wants his kills to be known, he likes to reveal the deaths to the people who cared about them to get a huge scare value so to suddenly change his actions to deciding to get rid of the bodies made no sense. Pick them off one by one but then at the end get them all together and obviously loose when it becomes like 6 vs 1.
The original killer is a flashback to lead up the current killer, this is always a waste, your first season could have been the original rampage, why do you waste a season by making it so there was an original killer prior to the start of the first episode? silly idea from the get go.
So the new killer ends up being the daughter of the original killer, with an accomplice, not bad, but this could have been season 2 reveal and the original killer could have been season 1 reveal already. Season 2 is about finding the accomplice from Season 1 as they are still around. But it feels off as the new killer is really obvious and completely different from the first so it doesn't feel right. Then they finish it by showing flashbacks of the original killer from before Season 1 not actually being dead but being helped get away. Then they show the current killer as getting a phone call as if the original killer is back.
Then they change the story completely and do a Halloween special that shows a completely new killer and story but the same victims still, and then at the end they go back to admit that no one knew who it was on phone call...then point to the original killer returning to Lakewood and checking into a Motel.
So then season 3 should be the original killer back in Lakewood to start a new rampage on Emmas mum...but no...they are going to completely reboot the season all over again for number 3 and start a new story...
A mess it seems, which is really disappointing, they should have at least finished the story first...
