Guiding Emily (2023)
LOVED IT
I was waiting for this movie and i personally loved it!!!
Sarah and Antonio are wonderful together and have good chemistry as friends first, making us wish and wait to see them as a couple by the end of the movie.
The story is evolving naturally giving the chance to see the strangle of Emily who goes blind after an accident, with her family, boyfriend, colleagues and friends trying to make piece and adjust with her condition. I liked that it showed difficultiess of a blind person as well as ways to coop.
Sara's acting was heartfelt and realistic (I just love her). Antonio is once more very very good as well as Toby as her fiance and Matty as her co-worker.
The story of the dog is Disney like with him talking to us but not a leading role....just cute enough to make us smile!!!
Good work everybody!!!! Touching movie and not sappy at all...
I hope we'll see more like this one : Great acting, suitable casting and a story that flows without unnecessary details and boring-sappy mixups.
Always Amore (2022)
GREAT CHEMISTRY....
I loved this movie so much!!!
The chemistry between the 2 leads was incredible. I think that Tyler found his best match with Reeser and vice versa....
The story was touching, the acting was good in an overall good movie. Yes the storyline could have given more lines to Patty McKormack and also Erica Tremblay to dramatize more the scenario but i still loved it...
Enjoy watching....
The Wedding Veil Legacy (2022)
Wow!!!
I loved this trilogy!!!
The first one was the best with Lacey and Kevin having great chemistry and lots of laughs.....
The second one was good also! Autumn is beautiful and very heartwarming!
And the third was great with Alison and Victor being so good together and their relation evolving so effortles!
Definetely needs a forth.... a fifth..... hope they will continue with a next film..... and the wedding veil club keeps giving us beautiful romantic stories to watch!!!
Maybe with Carly (Jordana Largy) and ... Brednan Penny as the new sef in her restaurant!!!??? Ha ha....
Farm to Fork to Love (2021)
Missing acting....
I liked the consept, the story of 2 different generations falling in and out of love..... but the acting was really poor by everyone!!! Except sef Brett and aunt Daniella...ha ha!!! It was as if they were acting for the 1st time.... and no chemistry between the leading couple....
But i watched it till the end and enjoyed the story which made me hungry....ha ha!
Note : i also like the photography and the scenery!
Içerde (2016)
Best turkish series for me!!!!
ICERDE is my most favorite series of all, along with Ezel...
Everything about this series is amazing, this could even be not only the best Turkish series but the best series i have ever seen script-wise, story-wise, character-wise...
The plot has suspense and twists right from the first episode. They make you laugh, cry, wait, react and fell in love with the leading couples! The music by turkish composer Toygar Isikli is wonderful!!! The cinematography, the script, the music, the locations, and above all the performances... amazing acting by the whole cast! This series is the masterpiece of both Cagatay Ulusoy and Aras Bulut Iynemli who allready deserve international acclaim for their roles but managed to turn up the heat in this with their superb acting and their unbelievable chemistry (even though it is based on jealousy and hate) that made me feel their pain by making it so real!!! I also loved the leading ladies as well, especially Bensu Soral who melts my heart with her acting and her life story from which she comes from!!!
This series i have watched over and over and makes me excited every time again!!! I suggest it unconditionally to my friends!!!
One of a Kind Love (2021)
Sweet movie!
Everything in this film is good enough! The script has a pleasant and quick plot, the cast is good, the scenery is beautiful and the leading actors are sweet, good looking and well suited for the characters they portray! They definetely have chemistry!!!
You can understand from the first moment Kyra and Eidan will have their happy ending, with the usual misunderstanding near the end of the movie but.... has a nice twist.... instead the usual format where this keeps going on and on..... Eidan who in fact protected her dream, explains everything to her honestly and Kyra doesn't hesitate to fall in his arms in a hot kissing moment!!!
The only thing i didn't like was the jewelry!!! Ha ha
Enjoy!
Seviyor Sevmiyor (2016)
Funny but.... dramatic!
This turkish series tells us the storie of Deniz (sea) who was beautiful girl when she was 12 years old but now as a 29 years old woman is a tomboy who doesn't care about her looks. She lives with her best friend Irem (friends since 13 years old) who is beautiful, tall woman and has men chasing her. The 2 girls
share a good friendship, dreams and desires.
Deniz doesn't have a steady job due to her tomboy character, but Irem is a general manager at a Hotel.
Suddenly Deniz recieves an e-mail from her childhood friend Yigit, who is her first love and were inseparable as kids until the day his father send him in USA when they were 12 years old. They haven't talked or seen eachother the past 15 years.
Deniz is exited to meet with him but when she sees him and understand that he didn't recognise her due to her bad looks, she gets disappointed and sends Irem in her place as Deniz. Yigit is exited to see his childhood friend and first love after 15 years and when the 2 meet he finds her beautiful and wants to go on another date with her. Deniz is watching their first encounter and is sad that Yigit didn't recognize her but instead is attracted to her best friend Irem.
Irem who is in the middle tells Yigit that she leave's for London the next day in order to finish the stupid game she is into.
The next day Deniz finds a job in a magazine and starts a friendship with a young man called Tuna who also works there as an editor. The two of them hit it off from day one and Tuna finds himself in love with Deniz after a while.
The same day Yigit comes in the magazine as manager and Deniz is his intern.
From that point on starts a "game" where Deniz works side by side with Yigit (who she still loves deeply) who doesn't know her real identity, finds her ugly, insult her every day and disrespect her, while Deniz is feeling sad and suffers through his acts. Yigit continues his meetings with Irem who pretends to be Deniz and she hides her meetings with him from Deniz.
Deniz loves Yigit and becomes close friend with Tuna.
Yigit is feeling close with Irem (who he thinks is Deniz) and has mixed feeling for the real Deniz (who is his intern).
Irem acting as Deniz starts to fall in love with Yigit and feels guitly towards Deniz and also meet with Tuna but doesn't know he is coworker with her friend Deniz.
Tuna falls in love with Deniz, calling her Michael as a nickname and she trusts him to tell the truth about the replacing game and her love story with Yigit. He hates Yigit from day one because he knows Deniz loves him....
The series continues with the 4 of them as they create problems for them, their families with Yigit feeling closer to Deniz every day more and more and questions Irem (as Deniz), Deniz falling more and more in love with Yigit but tries to stay away from him due to the feeling of guilt towards him and due to Irem who confesses her love for Yigit to Deniz and also pretends to commit suiside to make Deniz feel guilty.
Tuna tries to help Deniz to cover her story due to his good character but also because his is in love with her.
But Yigit is not convinced..... he tries to deny his feeling for Deniz but he can't stay away. He starts to question the identity of Irem but the other 3 manage to cover their traces....
It has many funny moments but also very emotional, sad moments as well. You will definetely cry!!! Yigit proposes to Irem (as Deniz) while Deniz witness the proposal and falls to the sea.... Tuna see Deniz and Yigit kissing after he confessed his feeling to her.... Yigit feeling jealousy because he believes Deniz is a couple with Tuna..... Yigit's father blackmales Irem and Deniz for money.... Tuna and Irem realise that Yigit and Deniz share a great love that they can't defeat!!! Tuna enters a phychiatric clinik and Irem destroys her friendship with Deniz. Yigit finds out that he has a sister and a brother from another mother.....
Finally Yigit finds the truth and is devastated..... Irem sends him a cd where she confess her side of the story in order to forgive her and get back together. Instead he gets ungy and plans a revenge against everyone that participated, but fights with his true feeling for Deniz.
After many difficult moments, confrontations, reckoning of feelings and revenge Yigit and Deniz manage to overcome their problems and be together. They even plan to marrie but..... he finds out that he has fatal cancer and decides to hide it from her because he loves her too much to let her feel the pain of his desease....
But friends and family help them both through this and finally she learns the truth, stands by him, he has a surgery and he is saved.
The story ends with our heroes 8 months after the surgery. Yigit and Deniz are married and have 2 kids (twins), Tuna is married with Yigit's sister and they are leaving to travel around the world. Irem has made amens with Deniz and Yigit and she is happy and friends with all of them!!!
I loved it...... I cried, i laughed and i loved the characters in this series....
Good script, nice scenery, beautiful music and emotional acting!!
Yedinci Kogustaki Mucize (2019)
DESERVES AN OSCAR!!!
This movie is amazing! The production is incredile, the music so emotional and the script is told beautifully keeping a perfect pace.
The acting of Aras Bulut Lyinemli as "Nemo" and young Nisa Sofiya Aksongur as his daughter "Ova" is just pure inspired talent!!!
All of the cast performs highly and the supporting roles are remarkable!
I've watched it with my daughters (age 11 and 12) and they were crying throughout the movie... When the movie ended both of them told me that the meaning of this movie was the power of a father's love and the strong bond with his daughter that manages to amaze the rest of the characters in this movie and turn cruelty in humanity!
The main character with his innocente, sometimes comic expressions of affection to his daughter, depsite the struggles, the fear and the cruelty of the unfair judjement of people, manages to make us love him, admir him, become a part of his family and finally realise that in this world everyone deserves a helping hand, understanding and a chance in greatness!
ARAS BULUT LYINEMLI is an authentic talent and his acting is out of this world!!! He becomes his role, a very difficult role, that throughout his ordeal and his brilliand performance will bring you to tears, in an emotional roller coaster with the injustices of this world! And the most amazing is that his acting seems so effortless, so natural that results in making you even laught in the most emotional scenes!
He is undeniably on of the best actors in Turkey, equal if not better than most in Hollywood!!!
PLEASE watch this amazing, inspiring movie! A must see movie!
Kagittan Hayatlar (2021)
A MUST SEE MOVIE!!!
What a great movie!
The storyline is strong and emotional. It's a heartbreaking drama that depicts the cruelty in the streets of Istanbul and the devestating effect in peoples lives when a little boy is searching for his mother with the help of an older man.
The scenery, photography and music are great helping the viewer dive in the story as well with the amazing cast!!!
CATAGAY ULUSOY once again proved that he is more than a handsome man.... That most of all he is an amazing skilled actor! He easily transforms in each character he's been given throughout his carrer (do watch movie DELIBAL and series ICERDE- you won't regret it!!!).
In this story Ulusoy is giving a very expressive, intense performance of Mehmet, a man who suffers illness, sadness, pain and anger, unable to come in peace with the ghosts of his past, creating in his head a few moments of happiness as a getaway.
This movie is a true masterpiece and deserves an OSCAR!!! ULUSOY deserves an oscar!!!
The hole cast is amazing supporting the main character with their pure talent in an also amazing production! The end of the movie really left me speechless with an amazing twist final. I felt the pain and despair of the characters and i just cried my eyes out!!!
DON'T MISS IT!!!
Mirakel (2006)
HEARTWARMING!
This is a very deep and moving film! Not just a romantic movie but also a movie which shows the heartache of love, the maginficence of friendship and the greatness of a trustworthy man!
The hero Carsten has lost his beloved wife to cancer and 4 years late still suffers for his lost. But after meeting Victoria, a rich bussiness woman slowly finds his way back to life and love.
The two leading heroes cope with the differences of their lifes and habits with honesty and strength. Their acting is very good, moving but still plain without exaggerations and their chemistry is tender and natural. And at the end they please the audience with a happy ending!
But it's not just that..... The supporting characters are doing an amazing job as well, struggling to face the difficulties of life. It portrays a family (of his lost wife) with one of their sons Stian suffering from an incurable disease, Stians great emotional buoyancy, his brother effort to deal with his fears and the parents trying to stand brave through this agony.
It's a movie that reflects real life tests, fears, the importance of values, family, friendship, love and being worthy for all....
This is a powerfull movie and i absolutely suggest seeing it!!! You wont regret it...
Swing Away (2016)
Very nice!
I liked this movie very much!
Shannon Elizabeth did a very good job, her acting was natural, not overplayed and her greek was amazing! She obviously worked a lot. Bravo!
Manos Gavras charming as always and his acting very good! Their romance evolved naturally and their kiss near the end.... Oh!!! intense kiss!
All the cast was good in their parts (especially Renos Charalambidis, John O'Hurley and Alexandros Mylonas). The only thing that should be different is the little girl (Stella) should speak some greek....
The scenery, the fotography and the music all very beautiful!!!
A movie depicting the modern Greece (beautiful island of Rhodes) but with the love we still have for our land, our faith and traditions!
Worth seeing.... Give it a chance.
"I hope nothing, i fear nothing, i am free!"
A proud Greek lady! S.Simeonidou- Athens Greece
Starting Up Love (2019)
Starting up!
First i m going to say that i really liked this movie!
Both Hutchison and Myers had chemistry slowly developed (realistic), their acting was very good and without exaggerations! But.... i would like more "love scenes" between Liam and Jilian for example a kiss or two before the end of the movie (after the dinner 44' or after the fishing as he brings her home 58'). Also.... the kiss in the end (bearly touching lips) was "frising cold". If you want the love story to capture the audience, the kiss should be more powerfull and realistic!
The storyline, the dialogues, the scenery, fotography and music of this movie were great!
It's a movie worth seeing!
Taking a Shot at Love (2021)
Luke! ohhhh Luke!!!
I love Luke MacFarlane! He gives his best in every movie, he is charming, into the character, emotional and his acting is shinny and balanced! Well done in this movie too.
Alexa is not my taste (overacting, too dramatic) but in this one she was good, in her character and cool...
The story was well developed, the dancers amazing and the cast all very good!
Give us more movies with Luke MacFarlane please!
Two for the Win (2021)
Skying with Trevor!
A very nice winter movie to watch!
If you love skying, snow and Trevor Donovan then you will surely love it.
The story was nice, the acting was good, the scenery amazing, the editing and the music very good.
I found Trevor Donovan was charming, so good for the eyes..... and his acting was sweet, realistic enough without any exaggerations and he stayed related to the character of Justin. I found their chemistry a bit weak.... i mean Trevor with Sharlotte Sullivan as Kayla, but the thing is that this woman has something so cold in her acting, blunt i would say that makes difficult to see her emotions (although i loved her in Rookie Blue) even with Trevor's efforts!
Worth watching!
The Tree That Saved Christmas (2014)
Very nice!
I liked this film very much!
It's not the usual story.... Lacey Chabert is excellent again, the cast was very good, the photography, the setting and the story was well written.
I especially liked Jim Thorburn as the boss of Lacey. One of the few times that the boss isn't a jerk! His acting was great, his chemistry with his "daughters" felt real wich makes me wonder why they don't give him the leading role??? He is charming, good actor and very good looking....
The characters in this movie interact in a relatively believable manner and the scenery is amazing with lots of Christmas notes and spirit of hope.
I will definetery watch this again....
Second Chance Christmas (2017)
Very good!!!
I really liked this film!
The casting was very good. The leading couple had chemistry, good acting and realism. Especially Tilky Jones was very sweet, charming and deliver beautifully the emotions of his role. The movie showed "the two sides of the coin" of a couple living the problems of their marriage with the insecurities, fears and doubts that are involved.
She is taking life too seriously, micromanaging everything, focusing in her job and profecional success with the result to cut out her beloved people, judging them for their mistakes without taking a good look to the causes...
He, on the other hand is taking life too light, creating a mess in their house due to his profecional troubles, not sharing his insecurities with his wife out of fear in losing her...
But a genuine look in ourelves, true love and honest conversation can solve almost everything!
In this case with the help and loving interference of family and friends they find their way to love each other all over again.
The Christmas Temp (2019)
Amazing!
I loved every minute of this film!
Robin Dunne as Jonah and Sara Canning as Hazel were amazing! They had chemistry, humor, their acting was so refreshing and superb! Completely suited for their roles and the essence of the characters.
The casting was excellent and i love the detail with Robin Dunne's wife in real life Farrah Aviva playing Rita the bartender.
The script is well written with humor, interactive dialogues, realistic to the nature of the characters and festive.
I totally agree both with the review of grakky and manfredpeter-09628 and i dont't understand the negative reviews at all.....
I'm definetely going to see this again and again and i'm going to suggest it to my friends!
EXCELLENT WORK!!!
Homegrown Christmas (2018)
No more "What if ?"
I really liked this movie!!! A story about two people who get a SECOND CHANCE in love!
Lori and Victor were amazing together, with chemistry, humor, emotions and good acting. There where some times that i thought Lori was too serious in her part and not loose enough (influence of her role in When calls the heart i suppose) but still she was very expressive.
I found the cast in total good, the plot whas very good and he dialogues had spice and sincerety. I found very realistic their fears, hesitations and hopes as they were depicted though the script. I've been there my self and it's hard to let go... But true love always find the way.
I also liked that it was about two people over 40 acting accordinly their age, their history together and backround.
This one i will defenitely see again!!!
Christmas Tail (2014)
Runaway dog
Well the movie is nice, Antonio Cupo as Jack is really good and emotional, the dog is lovable. The kids were also good enough, but the Chadra West and the rest of the cast were not good.... That's why there is no chemistry between them....
The story had many gaps though.... Maggie never confronted Chance for the mail, the wreath, the ice cream cones and never showed how she found out that Jack didn't have a thing for the other girl (if you see the movie you'll understand). The ending of the film was very hasty and their only kiss in the movie was so fake... showing strongly the lack of chemistry between them!
I don't regret watching but i'm not going to watch it again for sure....
Snowed-Inn Christmas (2017)
Amazing!!!
I enjoyed every minute!!!!
Andrew Walker was once more the best! He is charming, funny and his performance is captivating!!!
Also Bethany Joy Lenz was amazing!
They had chemistry, they were funny, emotional and their acting was natural without unnesessery exaggerations. I loved the way their feelings were all over their faces by their expressions.
The dialogs were very realistic, had character and with the help of the capable cast it was like i was watching 2 rivals falling in love in front of my eyes!
The set was festive, the storyline was about love, Christmas and kindness. And i loved that the boss in this movie was so supportive, friendly and smart.
Overall it was a very good movie that i will wath again and again.
I really hope that this pair will get the chance to work together again in something new or maybe a sequel!?
Merry Christmas 2020 to all!
Christmas in Vienna (2020)
Marvelous Vienna!
I liked this movie a lot. The plot was good, the cast was fine and it showed Vienna very well as the marvelous city it is and especially in Christmas time.
Showed almost everything about Viennise deserts (and i would like to eat them all...ha ha), it guides us to the beautiful historical sights and all these with the sounds of classical music and Christmas songs! Place for magical holidays...
I most certainly disagree with those who say that Brennan Elliott wasn't good.... He played a diplomat who had lost his wife and being raising 3 young kids by himself between changing cities all along..... The role of a diplomat is ment to be stiff and distant due to their work habits. I believe he successfully posed as a man who due to his professional position and his fear to let go and fell in love (as Mark admitted to Jess) tries to keep his distance... As the film proceeds Mark gets more involved with Jess who is emotional, sweet but sincere and his heart opens gradually to her. It wouldn't be realistic if he didn't hesitate, if he changed fast....
Sarah Drew is amazing once more in her role and must have really practiced much to portrate a violinist the best way she could! Brennan Elliott is perfect also!
I personally believe that the meaning of this movie is that even the most reserved person can "drop down his walls" and let be volnerable for the right significant one! Nothing comes easy but.... the best things are those worth fighting for.....
'Tis the Season for Love (2015)
MEANINGFUL STORY!!!
I liked this movie very very much!
I liked the plot, the setting and the kids.... where charming and pretty natural.
The film had a good story to tell regarding dreams in general, in my opinion. It's very important to chase our dreams as much as understanding ourselves, our depest whishes and the fact that those dreams can change as we grow older and wiser through experience.
I found the cast was very good also. Everybody in this film was great and represented their roles with emotions.
Sarah Lancaster was very good but Brednan Penny was amazing as always! I like the way he approaches the parts he gets with innerness and charm.
It's one of the movies i wish had a sequel....
A Ring for Christmas (2020)
Good story but....
First i want to say that i am a big fan of Christmas movies and sucker for a nice romance... But..... Allthough i found the story very nice, i found especially Liliana Tandon very very cold! It felt like she was reading her lines, didn't have chemistry with any other actor. And to be honest except Dean Geyer who was as always good and sweet in his role i don't think any other actor or actress played with heart! I think he would be even better with the right cast.
The script was good enough (written by Liliana Tandon) but the plot had holes and except being set in Christmas time had nothing to do with the festivities or spirit of Christmas and most certainly didn't put me in the Christmas mood....
