I Just Killed My Dad (2022)
Terribly sad
I'm just crying so much for this young man. His whole life was taken from him from childhood and no one helped him.
Thank God he had some people step up and help him after he killed his dad so the rest of his life was not ruined.
The Sandman (2022)
So boring
I watched 7 episodes just hoping it would get better.
It goes nowhere. It's very boring. Nothing happens.
So disappointed as it had so much potential and I was looking forward to it very much.
Twisted Killers (2022)
Its ok
It's ok for a true crime documentary. I have seen most of the victims stories previously on other true crime shows and this brought nothing new except maybe some of the crime scene photos were more graphic which to me felt disrespectful to the victims and their loved ones especially their families.
FBI: International: Get That Revolution Started (2022)
Great episode
Great episode. Yes it's unrealistic that the FBI can just run around taking over cases overseas but it's a tv show not reality.
What do you think you are going to watch it's called FBI International?
Sometimes you just need to watch a show for what it is, entertainment.
Mayor of Kingstown (2021)
Brilliant
Gritty drama between cops and criminals.
Great writing, great cast.
Each episode is better than the last.
I look forward to the next episode every time.
Hopefully there is a season 2.
The Shrink Next Door (2021)
Wow!
This was a little slow to start but it got going. You could see the relationship heading to a very unhealthy and dangerous dynamic for Marty and at times very difficult to watch unfold. I just wanted to yell at my screen at times out of frustration and at the build up of my anxiety from watching the manipulation and control by Dr Ike.
All the actors were fantastic and Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd were brilliant.
It is nice to know that the real Dr had his license revoked and was sued for malpractice by Marty. Sadly Marty wasn't his only victim.
One of Us Is Lying (2021)
Just gets better
I wasn't sure if this was going to keep me hook at first. But each episode just got better and better.
One of my new favorites and I can't wait to see who the killer is!
Hopefully there's a season 2.
Only Murders in the Building (2021)
Interesting and fun
Loving this series.
Great cast and great writing.
It's fun and lighthearted.
Characters have secrets that are interesting to see come to light.
Nice whodunnit.
Eager for each episode.
True Life: Crime (2020)
Heartbreaking episode
I watched this for the first time tonight, season 2 episode 3 and it broke my heart and shocked me.
The lad who was murdered, Jayden was in the wrong place at the wrong time. So young and from interviews with friends and family a happy, funny nice lad.
Such a senseless loss.
Killed by thugs out for revenge in a drive by and shot this innocent young lad who was at a house by chance and never been there before. Was there for about 8 minutes before he was shot!
Then there was the dispatcher who hung up on the young person who rang for help because he couldn't cope with the person on the other end of the phone call who was clearly in shock and panic at seeing their friend bleeding too death,
That 911 call was chilling.
My heart just broke for Jaydens family, friends and girlfriend.
I do recommend this tv show but if all the episodes are about young innocent people like this one, then have tissues and prepare yourself. Any life taken is shocking and sad but when it's young people who are not even beginning to live life it just rips your heart that little bit more.
Gossip Girl (2021)
Unlikeable characters
Unlike the original GG these characters are not likeable.
Those playing the students and the teachers are terrible actors.
The creators tried to make the characters the same as the original GG as well which was a terrible idea.
We found out who Gossip Girl was in the first episode which took away from the mystery of who is Gossip Girl.
Will watch a couple more episodes to see how it goes but going from the first episode it's not going to be good. Disappointing.
Grey's Anatomy: Sign O' the Times (2021)
Enough!!
This season has been either Covid or political related.
Enough already!
Get back to being great again.
I watch tv to escape not a rerun of the news.
Clarice (2021)
Updating my review
I've continued to watch this and it has gotten better.
There's nothing wrong with the acting or the writing it's the basis of the tv series.
It should not have been associated with Silence of the Lambs. It doesn't need it and probably wouldn't have received so many negative reviews.
I've started to watch it as it is with no link to Silence of the Lambs and see it as a stand alone drama with no expectations and have started to enjoy it more.
The Rookie: True Crime (2021)
Better than the most this season
I enjoyed this episode. Not as great as in previous seasons but better than most this season. Seemed a little out of place though, like it should've been in a different season??
The Watch (2020)
It's not that bad
I don't mind it so far. I have not heard of Discworld so can't compare. So to me it's just a fantasy tv series that I'm enjoying.
Call Me Kat (2021)
Complete waste of time
I was looking forward to this it sounded like it would be funny and I really like Leslie Jordan.
It was terrible and not funny. The writers have no idea of funny.
Disappointing and why did she have to talk at the viewers? Might have been ok if what she was saying was actually funny
Bridgerton (2020)
Love it
I've been up late for hours binge watching this show but I have to stop at episode 7 and have some sleep.
I love the characters and the diversity. If only life was really as accepting of everyone as it is in this show. At first I was confused and thought this is not how it was back then, it's hardly like it now sadly, but then I didn't care that it wasn't following with accuracy. I just loved the characters and their stories. Characters I thought I wouldn't like I do and characters I thought I would like I think are terrible self serving people.
I don't know the books, have never heard of it before so I went in with no expectations and so probably no disappointments. I would recommend this but I guess if you love the books you are probably going to be disappointed from what I've read from others.
Big Sky (2020)
Watch it at least until the end of the 1st episode. You will be glad you did
I was feeling this was going to disappoint while watching the 1st episode but wow did it take a turn in direction before the episode finished!
Wish I could binge watch it I want to see what happens now. Great actors as well.
The Undoing (2020)
Fantastic
I wasn't sure about watching this as I am not a Nicole Kidman fan but I am glad I did. The last episode had me glued to the screen and the scene on the bridge was intense. Nicole Kidmans acting on the bridge gave me chills. Every mum can relate at that moment. Great episodes week after week. I would be happy if it ended on series one. I have a feeling if there's a series two there could be more to what we think we know and I am not sure if I am ready for that.
Watch it, it's worth it.
Earth to Ned (2020)
Ridiculous
This is ridiculous. It has a few laughs but it's a waste of time
The Pack (2020)
Love it
I don't know why people are saying the dogs were mistreated or stressed out. Or the owners were rich. The final three were regular people trying to win to hopefully buy a home or have a decent start.
The dogs were never mistreated and at times owners wouldn't finish because they knew their dog wasn't enjoying the task. The dogs had training to help them get used to things like unbalanced surfaces, water sports etc. so they wouldn't be frightened. They were well looked after. I'd be one of the first to turn off and do whatever was in my power to get it cancelled so it wouldn't be on again.
The owners had beautiful connections with their fur babies and the love was obvious. They adored them and the dogs adored their owners.
I found it hard to pick one team for my winner as they were all such nice people with gorgeous and very charismatic dogs with great personalities.
There were young and older dogs and owners, some were mixed breeds and some purebreds.
I don't know what people mean about the drama in the show, I didn't feel there was any drama or fake drama in it. You heard their stories throughout and some had some tough times in life.
They all got along together, bonded and shared a common interest, love for their fur buddies.
It was actually nice to watch a reality show without fake fights. Even the dogs loved each other!!
If you love dogs and want to watch something that isn't full on and overly scripted give it a go.
Helstrom (2020)
Great new series
I just finished binge watching and it got better with each episode. Easy to follow and understand. Great acting. It had a Prodigal Son/Evil feel but it is it's own show. I wish there was a season 2 following straight after because I'm excited to see the next season.
Well here's hoping for that season 2!
Criminal: UK (2019)
Season 1 was great Season 2 wasn't
I really enjoyed season 1. It was great, which my rating was based on.
I was really looking forward to season 2, unfortunately it was a disappointing. The storyline's weren't up to season 1. I wasn't left feeling like I must watch the next episode. I only bothered with the first 3 episodes and even that was in hope it would pick up.
The War with Grandpa (2020)
Great movie
I haven't laughed so much watching a movie in such a long time. Great actors, especially my all time favourite Robert De Niro, great clean fun. So glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews. So glad I have a sense of humour.
I Hate Suzie (2020)
Wasn't sure but really enjoyed it
I wasn't sure about this after some of the reviews but not having much else to watch decided I'd give it a go. Thought I probably should've listened to those who said it was rubbish but hung in there and after the first couple of episodes was glad I did. I really enjoyed it and I actually really like her character as a person and a mum. While Frank is cute and even though he has a hearing problem she doesn't let him get away with things and makes him accountable for his choices. I have seen parents who let their kids get away with things because of that adorable head tilt and smile or because they have problems. Doesn't do their child any favours in the long run in my opinion.
Though I wasn't keen on the smack he got but understood her fear at that moment as he has shown cruelty to the swans.
Glad I watched it.
Between Two Worlds (2020)
Is this the best Australia has too offer these days?
Terrible acting. Wooden, boring, and overly dramatic. I don't know if it's the actors or the way they have been directed. The sexual appetite of one of the rich and elite female characters is like watching a b grade porn with b grade acting from her.
At least some of the actors playing the average suburban aussies have some acting skills.
The premise of the storyline while already ridiculous is obviously going to end up being far-fetched with the story of the old, rich, bombastic, cruel, businessman receiving the heart of a great, good hearted, decent, young football player, who is a drug dealer by the way, but dealing for a good cause, his honeymoon! The rich old bloke starts to show and feel traits of the young footy player and will buy his way if need be to find out whose heart he has and how he's changing him. The rich and the average characters have not met but obviously will. Boring bit of rubbish
