Senseless and irrational, killing is what the hype is about
29 December 2022
Got led into viewing by the hype created.

Missing this movie, you are not losing anything.

Irrational and senseless killing. Boring.

Absurdly taking back and forth. Guns and fire power does not constitute a good or great movie.

If any credit, Fahadh Faasil has presented quality showmanship.

Why Surya? Why Vijay Sethupathi?!

Disjoint sub stories, made to feel as a layered completion and struggling to weave them together.

It appears the ratings are from Hyped up promotions and mass marketing events.

If one is reasonably exposed to world wide cinemas, this would make sense and relate to them.!!

Nothing new, same old old old story.
15 October 2022
Two hours and fifty minutes.. Nothing new absolutely zero freshness. It appears the last ten minutes was a shoot and stich of the lead actor's real life image. The director is found fumbling all the way not knowing what to do, from the second act onwards. Poor screen play and criminal waste of time. Heroine might as well not be there. Gautam looks like he is scratching his head ok what can I do next or what should I do next. No sync between the title, the first act and what the viewer sees in the last act. Appears the movie was shor over 3 years and redone In. Between in patches. One can easily gather that from the protagonist physical build.

Sits on the edge of good and artful in its genre.
6 May 2022
Absurdly amazing movie that elicits the viewers to be part of the unhinged xenophobic gore. The trauma worn by the protagonists supports the well deserved blood bath. The screen play sits on the edge of artfulness. There is an avant garde gesture in the movie. The director has presented unabashed brutalism across the whole scope of the movie. Dialogues are minimalistic amidst the primary and secondary protagonists. Compelling to accept the coherent plot. Selva Raghavan is an extraordinarily natural displaying non professional acting which adds realism to the story. Keerthy Suresh is convincing enough. Not a family affair movie.

Disastrous Disappointment with a capital D for Dissatisfied.
13 April 2022
During pandemic times, viewers pay hard earned money to see the movie and net result being dissatisfied, more so for the S. Indian diaspora. Everyone who has watched this on screen contributes to the 100 crores hero's salary and his future higher remuneration.

The movie is a cherry picked and nit picked string of context from various English movies and European serials, stitched together.

From the word get go, Eye in the Sky is plagiarised for the first 20 minutes. The mall take over, brings in line with Money Heist. Ending dog fight is a mix of Tom Cruise Top Gun and Arnold Schwarzenegger's True Lies. The middle portion of the movie is Die Hard, Bruce Willis, along with Sylvester Stallone Rambo killing style.

Nelson has biten more than he can chew. At the end of the day it's a hefty pay package for Vijay and Nelson. Sun pictures perhaps can write off losses and / or, launder clean money.

Yogi Babu and Redin, roles absolutely pointless.

Nothing connects.

Nelson would be a more critically acclaimed director if he follows his creativity than plug himself a square box into the circle of Vijay.

It is better than Valimai, maybe.

When you have absolutely nothing to do, if you are watching paint dry or grass grow, then watch this movie on OTT.

You have not lost nor missed out on anything by giving this a miss.

Raw Pure Interesting Entertainment
19 January 2022
Definitely a must watch entertainment movie. Allu Arjun, rises to the ocassion. It is raw, rustic and screenplay just flows. Every actor and actress have played the roles really well. This movie is a wholesome entertainer. Do not try to rationalize and infuse questionable logic, the screenplay never aims, nor does it project or never leads us that way. Reshmika has actually exhibited some acting skills in this movie. Faasil Fahadh great antagonist. Allu Arjun great protagonist. Enjoy this movie.

Vendaway Vendam.. Stay Away.. Run
19 September 2021
This is a horrible movie. You are better off sleeping for 2 hours to heal and rest your mind and body..

VJS must have purely done it for the money.. Nothing else.

This is the same catastrophe as Tughlaq Durbar.

Being an ardent fan of VJS,forced myself to get through the movie. Please stay away. Inspite of VJS it comes down crashing. I'm wondering why did VJS even take on this project. Can't be small pocket change, he takes on full screen space. Far fetched, plausible medical condition, however the screen play and story is at ground zero. You will come out with nothing at the end of the viewing. Utilize your time better.

The last 15 minutes takes a nose dive.
3 September 2021
There is a slow burning build up. In the third act, there is a dragging the whole cast. Last act, is a quick wrap let's get to the finish line. Intent may have been good, appears to be out of ideas mid stream onwards.

This is good entertainment with some facts and more on enjoying a show.
1 June 2021
This is a good enjoyable show. Yes it is drama and bit soapy. It definitely has some facts and keeps you entertained if you don't overthink and analyze everything. This is a show, one wants entertainment that is provided and the producers want to make money. The characters are built over the seasons..You start rooting for your favourites. Definitely makes you binge a wee bit too. Enjoy you will like it.

Absolute junk with a lifeless lead
15 April 2021
There is no option to give it less than one star or no star.

If you want to insult your intelligence and rob you off your time, go ahead. Else turn back and run.

Stay Away from this time wasting junk. Save your time and intelligence
15 April 2021
Save your time and intelligence. This appears to be a tax write off movie to show loss. The actors don't give a damn only on their earnings. This is not a movie for genuine public entertainment, time pass or anything to this nature. Definitely the producers know this is movie is not a people receiver. An insult. I can't give less than one star, which is also a waste.

A poignant moving movie, one will feel a genuine smile at the closure.
8 April 2021
Brilliant acting from Anandhi. A simple woven story, without soaking into traditional love. A puppy infatuation leading to a sense of realization. Heart warming story telling. The songs are heartrendering. Forget the questionable logical flaws which is projected in movies in general. Do watch the movie and flow with it. You will definitely come out finishing with a genuine smile.

Run of the mill honestly nothing new
2 February 2021
VS has better screen presence in comparison to Vijay. VS does project his work convincingly. For and from Vijay nothing extraordinary. Since the content is run of the mill. Lokesh the director has not presented anything exemplary when benchmarked with his previous works. Lokesh's Kaithi was refreshing had new elements for a Tamil movie, cannot say the same for Master. Story same old same old clichéd.

Too many B level stars, almost like everyone of them did a cameo role. Besides the purportrated hype, nothing amiss if you don't see this movie.

Run of the mill. One time watch. Predictable. Time pass movie
15 November 2020
Surya's performance is run of the mill and the character is most often running everywhere. The so called performance act are melodramatic and clichéd scenes. Surya has portrayed real significant character play and depth in his other movies Pitha Magan and Nanda. Here SP it is predictable and alot of holes in the plot. Do not expect logic and do not play your rationale card. Well it is a hero based movie. Aparna Balamurali stands out in her performance and projects herself as exuberantly.

The photography is a definite accolade. Enriched polarization and settling in well more on the rural acts.

Run of the mill. One time watch. Predictable. Time pass movie.

They tried, an attempt to do something different. Nothing new.
24 September 2020
The cinematography is good. The performance by Janelle Monaé is good too. There are a dozen unanswered questions. If you some spare time, give it a go. No horror, no sci-fi and so forth. You may be lead to believe that there may be something fresh, but no. You may walk away after 30 minutes.

Definitely will keep you engaged inspite of the 3 hours
11 May 2020
Phenomenal screen play. Biju Menon is intense and gripping. Prithviraj is a close second. Gowrie Nandha speaks about 5 sentences and conveys her message just by expression. Usual story, the layers make it interesting.

Good photography with lots of gaps and loose ends.
18 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The two stars acted out their roles brilliantly. Fantastic cinematography and backdrops. Screenplay tight dropped the ball in the end. Blood type AB nor accounted for. Last 10 minutes abruptly finalised with the killer. What about the rich man with the soft hands and cologne? Loose ends as no explanation how or why the killings took place.

A good one time watch
14 March 2020
Brilliant cinematography. Simple story line. Fair enough screenplay to keep the audience engaged. Clichéd but not damaging to sit through the movie. Songs are quite refreshing. Balaji Sakthivel and Aishwarya Rajesh do shine over the rest of the cast. In comparison to today's x number of movie releases, this is a better watch with a set of prominent cast.

Definitely a worthwhile watch.
28 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Definitely a worthwhile watch. Three themes are projected. As established in many facets of India, news, paper, YouTube, twitter the Indian law enforcement police force is not to serve and protect the public but vice versa. Their atrocities does not need to be a figment of anyone's imagination. Here the depiction on how a male a senior officer mistreats a female officer in a inhumane manner. After so many various ways of Indian law enforcement officers abuse being made aware, unfortunately this continues to thrives all over India. Here the police officers are from Tamil Nadu. A female in public law enforcement service goes through abuse in one of the cruelest form, not able to relieve herself of nature call. The natural forces come to her aid. The Sri Lankan Tamil genocide is touched on. One good song to remember.

He is Rambo, he does what he is good at.
23 November 2019
I am a fan of Rambo. I definitely will be biased. If you are a fan of JR you will like it. However no new creative story in this movie, the previous Rambo, had Myanmar (Burma) based event which I believed was quite welcoming. For an actor at 70+ he pulled it off, go to give him credit.
