Day of the Dead (2021)
Just bad...
Took a classic GAR movie and turned it into into horrible show. The characters are morons. The zombies move so slow and they still just stand there even with only a few zombies around. You can literally walk briskly around them. I can see if there's hundreds surrounding your area, but this isn't on that scale yet. The kid on the bridge with a few zombies approaching him annoyed me to hell. His friend runs and he just stands there waiting for them to get close before his Dad saves him. Really? Also, the zombies not dying with a blow to the head goes against the original movie Romero did and pretty much every decent zombie movie ever. The acting and script has me confused if it is supposed to be funny or scary. I'm struggling to find anything decent about this show. I don't see how this should be called DOTD at all when the only real similarity is that there are zombies and a few character names. Should have named it something else and left GAR's name off of it. I find it hard to believe he'd be impressed with this.
Psycho Family (2017)
Amazing Documentary for Juggies and strangers to McJuggernuggets
I have been a fan of Jesse (McJuggerNuggets) for 3 years. The Psycho Series entertained me after long days at work, and released me from my reality with every upload. Jesse's dedication to his fans is shown in 'Psycho Family'.
'Psycho Family' brought back a lot of memories from the Psycho Series and reminded me how much I love it. It's not just a look at how he made the iconic series. The documentary is an intimate look at how the process affected Jesse, his family, and friends. It's easy to forget about the sacrifice needed to create a series that consumes most of your life, and personal freedom. Having to hide your true self in a character that is hated by many, had to be incredibly challenging.
The SWAT's, death threats, stalkers, and haters is enough to make anyone give up. Although difficult and frustrating, the Ridgway's persevered. They only become closer and stronger as a family. The polar opposite of the Psycho Series. Instead of a son murdering his father, 'Psycho Family' shows us Jesse and Jeff hugging and saying 'I Love You' before taking the stage at VidCon. It's almost surreal to see because for so long, we have seen them as different people/characters. At times, the real people, seem like characters because of how well they did their job during the series.
'Psycho Family' has made me appreciate the entire family even more, and I am waiting for Jesse's next big hit. I have no doubt he will make it. He has the balls to break out of the 'norm' on YouTube, and try to create something revolutionary for the platform, if not film in general.
