Engaged by the two main characters however the ending was dumb. The first hour gets into their lives and how they lived. Listening to the crazy mother inlaw gave me "August Osage" vibes. If you enjoyed that movie, I suspect you'll sorta like this one. I really wished the ending matched the impression Diane Lanes character gave in the beginning of the movie. However she was the biggest disappointment nor was she believable. I will say I was happy to see them together in a movie. I believe they're great actors who deserve more roles, hopefully that will happen. The scenery was beautiful so there's that.

I've tried watching this show but can't tolerate Philip Mena. He's as interesting as dry toast, giving the news wearing his "Morning Joe" pullovers without any personality. He's been on Early today long enough to have improved but hasn't. Unfortunately NBC seems to overlook good talent right under their nose. Maybe their trying to meet some sort of quota but this morning duo doesn't cut it. The early morning shows are usually a place for young talent to learn to hone their skills. I don't know how NBC can compete with their competitors for early viewers going forward. I know as a viewer it helps to hire people who compliment each other.

Why use actors in reenactments? Would it be too difficult to preside over real cases? Is Lauren Lake a real judge? I would like it if it showcased real people and used actors. Many of the actors aren't only used over and over but they often "over act" by rolling the eyes, that's the comedic part...lol. I enjoy Judge Judy and The People's Court with Marilyn Milan, they're the only two worth watching right now. I appreciate that both keep participants in line instead of a free for all. This is my problem with this show as well, the litigants constantly argue without any correction from the "judge". I can't imagine any real judge allowing this kind of decorum in their presence.

How does a son hear all the crap going on in that house and finally comes up with a plan to help his mom?! I can't believe he wanted to be a part of this, he did nothing to help her until it was too late. No calling the police before he told her to record it? He should be ashamed of such a stupid idiotic plan.

My sorrow is for the kids, the parents were selfish and opportunistic. I find it absolutely amazed the parents feel so sorry for themselves. The mother could've left while the kids were young and given them a better life but she still was selfish as her no good ex-husband. I have no feeling towards the parents only their children.

Horrible story line, overacting by all. I don't blame the actors, I've seen most in better written novelas. Mexican telenovelas must quit putting out the same scripts, their comical and repeditive. I can see why they've began relying on Turkish imported novellas. Please look for new and better written novelas please.

The aunt deserved a male character younger, that man was told old for the role. Unfortunately if it's a popular male character, the female is usually 10 years younger.

Just because your together in real life doesn't mean you have chemistry in every series or movie. Over exagerrated roles, as usual overrun scenes, don't bother.

Why do they always use beautiful actresses with less than beautiful men. Ugh so sick of it.... story ok unfortunately always the same. I wish they had more twists and turns but nope.

Do yourself a favor and stick a fork in your eyes...this show is too long and too depressing....and such a stupid ending....jesus! Ugh......

This telenovela went in circles and ended up nowhere. How is Gabriel Soto an actor? I saw no difference in any emotion he attempted, anger, sadness, happy. He is one tone... awful.

He jokes with everyone but white people, he loses his temper with them. Why? I don't get it.

I thought this one would be more exciting. It's not the actors, it's the storyline. Once you understand the players, I think it just goes in the same circles.

Please stop trying to revive old characters. The story was boring, this might've worked back at the very latest the 1990's. Sylvester Stallone was lucky with the Rocky series but seriously, please stop trying to redo old movies.

This movie was pretty good until the last half hour with the basement scene. I literally had to laugh because it was so outrageous. It's ok to hire help.
