Escape from New York (1981)
One of my all time favorites
One of my favourite films from the 80's Kurt Russel is a real tough guy check out the film Soldier where he does some fight scenes. Never grow tired of watching it. I like the ending where he destroys the tape Snake just knows it's nothing important. As Kurt Russel would say Snake doesn't care about anything except staying alive. If you like action adventure films this one is highly recommended.
Beachhead (1954)
Terrible
I'm a big fan of B movies but this one wind the award for bad acting. Tony Curtis has done some really good films. Some like it Hot is a great one. Curtis just stumbled along in this movie. Some parts make no sense such as a Japanese man found in the jungle wearing a white uniform and cap. He also has no weapons with him so is he a Sailor maybe we never find out. But what is he doing in the Jungle ?
Curse of the Fly (1965)
Stink Bomb
One of my favorite movies is the "The Fly". Both Return of the Fly and Cruse of the Fly are not anywhere near the quality of the first film. I guess the only reason I kept watching is the beautiful Carole Gray here. The story starts off well, she escapes from a hospital and a kind man comes along to rescue her. She gets married and moves into his home with the mad scientist Brian Donlevy.
Everything goes downhill from there and the rest of the film is pretty boring. The two scientists keep trying to solve the problem with the tele transporter. The police become suspicious when people start disappearing and obtain a search warrant after both scientists die. At least the beautiful Carole Gray escapes unharmed.
Jersey Justice (2014)
Ok Drama
OK drama with some interesting characters. the one I liked most was the Lady Bartender. Bo Severson one of my favorite actors is here but just for a couple of brief parts. Maybe this was made for cable where they use new and upcoming actors. The story line is all about a Lady getting even with some bad guys for killing her husband.
Hunters Are for Killing (1970)
A Must see for Burt Reynold's fans
Great made for tv movie, Burt Reynolds is at his best.Larry Storch is a real rat, I didn't realize he's quite a good actor too. Burt comes back to a small town after leaving Prison to try to clear his name and claim his property. I won't give away the ending but I liked it.
Killpoint (1984)
A Big Disappointment
Some good fight scenes and stunts. The big disappointment is we only see Bill Wallace for maybe 30 sec on screen sparring with the main character.
Bill W. was a legend, a karate guy back in the 80's. The movie is very slow until the end when they bust the bad guys. I'm a big fan of B movies but this is one belongs in the dollar discount bin at the local rental store. It's a pity they didn't have Bill Wallace go up against the bad guys, he's a great martial artist.
Relentless (1977)
Good Action Adventure Movie
Made for tv movie, Monty Markham one of my favorite tv actors is here as an FBI agent and a tough Indian Sheriff who go after some bank robbers. Lots of outdoor scenes as they hunt the bad guys down.Larry Wilcox from CHIPS is the new officer who proves he's a very capable actor as well. I enjoyed watching this one.
It! The Terror from Beyond Space (1958)
One of my favorite B movies
This is one of my favorite Sci fi films, lots of suspense as a creature sneaks on board a ship that lands on Mars. I won't give away the ending but nothing seems to stop it, bullets, gas grenades etc. I know there's an actor inside that suit but the creature seems so real to me. If you like old B movies don't miss this one.
Vegas Vacation (1997)
a fun time
Another fun adventure, the tour of Hoover dam chevy wanders off, that's what I wanted to do when I went on that tour, wonder off and see other parts of the dam.
some pretty crazy stunts make this movie make it fun to watch.
Love that dress that his wife is wearing at the end can't blame wayne neuton for chasing after her, Many of my favorite movies are from the 80's and this one seems like an 80's film it's wholesome entertainment for the whole family.
Time Under Fire (1997)
Good B Sci-fi Movie
This might have been on the Sci-fi channel they seem to use a lot of new and upcoming actors so don't expect the acting to be first rate. If you're a fan of B movies and like time travel stories this is worth watching. The crew of a Submarine
goes through a time portal and ends up 100 years in the future.
They are taken prisoner by some creepy bad guys and there's some good fight scenes. And some strange things as the Commander of the Sub meets his double in the future, a leader of a band of Rebels.
Vampire Vixens from Venus (1995)
I''m a Big fan of B Movies...
I'm a big fan of low budget B movies and this one starts out ok, 3 Aliens from space who transform themselves into 3 sexy Babes. The cops are so goofy and many of the other actors are too. The English officer is trying to be funny like Inspector Clouseau. The Girls are supposed to be Vampires I guess they are drawing energy from people's bodies. It's sorta funny in parts but it's mostly boring. This reminds me of those discount rental tapes you could get for a couple of dollars at the Video store.
Rio Bravo (1959)
Dean Martin at his Best
Dean Martin should have gotten an award for his part in this film. I like how the two team up to fight the bad guys, you can see there's a real friendship here. A bit slow in parts but some good action scenes. My only disappointment was John Wayne didn't take on John Russell, he's a big man, a bit taller than Wayne. That would have been quite a fight to see.
The Time Tunnel (1966)
Great Action Adventure Show
I started watching this show as a teenager and still enjoy it. I grew up watching James Darren in those Gidget movies and always liked him. Him and Doug do a lot stunt work in every episode and it's fun to watch the fight scenes.
I did wonder about a few things how is their clothes appear to get washed as they jump to another time? Well now I know the truth, in an interview with Darren he said the studio cleaned his sweater every day.
I have to say I really enjoyed that interview James Darren is a nice gentlemen.
too bad they didn't have him sing some songs in any of the Time Tunnel episodes He's a very talented actor. Anyway I miss these action adventure shows, they were my favorite shows.
