Erotic thrillers hit their peak in the ’90s, with Hollywood trying to duplicate the box office magic of steamy blockbusters such as “Fatal Attraction” and “Basic Instinct.” While those films were critical and commercial hits, genre titles often fall into one of two categories: campy fluff or artistic tightropes. We gathered 10 of our streaming favorites from both camps — including two racy series — that are sure to take “Netflix and Chill” to the next level.

One of David Lynch’s finest films, the chemistry between Naomi Watts and Laura Elena Harring is so red-hot it almost distracts from the intricate plotting. Nothing is quite what it seems in this tricky opus, but once the puzzle pieces come together, the results are as breathtaking as they are deadly.
This masterpiece from Park Chan-wook makes the most of a very sensual relationship between two women of very different social classes. As lies and deception are slowly unraveled, hearts are broken and lives are ruined along the way through this twisty tale.
A cult classic in the making, Nicolas Winding Refn’s brightly-hued vision of the fashion world set Cannes on fire when it bowed at the festival last year. As Elle Fanning’s Jesse uncovers more and more secrets from the dark side of the industry, she becomes the object of lust for men and women alike. Dark, twisted and funny, it’s a beautiful film about gorgeous people doing terrible things to each other.
This outrageous HBO vampire show has some of the most graphic sex ever shown on cable, as a variety of gorgeous creatures show their “Magic Mike”-worthy abs and sleep with everyone they can find. It’s a soapy delight that is brimming with genre fun.
This lost ’90s gem features a bold performance from Madeleine Stowe as a woman struggling with her sight that is haunted by deadly visions. With a strong and sexy romance anchored by Aidan Quinn, it’s a fun find on Netflix, perfectly paired with popcorn on date night.
This Paul Verhoeven classic is so much more than just that scene. Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone are electric together, and Stone ignites the screen every minute she’s on it. Her it factor is undeniable as a beautiful murder suspect, and she’s so dangerous and magnetic that it’s no wonder all of the men around her fall prey to her charm.
This same-sex twist on the “I’m falling in love with a murderer but can’t help myself” genre is undeniably seductive and dark, with Pierre Deladonchamps and Christophe Paou burning up the screen in this Cannes-winning delight from director Alain Guiraudie.
Eli Roth’s best film is a “Tales From The Crypt”-style intersection of infidelity and psychopaths. When Keanu Reeves is tempted to shake up his stable family life with two mysterious women he meets on a dark and stormy night, things get out of hand quickly and lead to one of the wildest endings in recent memory.
This werewolf show was Netflix’s answer to “True Blood,” and while it didn’t reach the heights and southern silliness of its HBO cousin, it was a stylish and alluring examination of old-time lore. The action and gore effects are stomach-churning, but the show swiftly gained a reputation for copious amounts of copulation.
Paul Schrader directed this loopy sexual thriller, which was penned by Bret Easton Ellis and toplined by a late-career Lindsay Lohan and porn megastar James Deen. Giving new meaning to the word camp, this insane mashup of rabble-rousers in front of and behind the camera gives undeniable charm to this tale of troubled rich kids in L.A.
