The pergola is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, ID #71000875. It is further listed along with the nearby totem pole and Pioneer Building, ID #77001340. There is also a broader inclusion for the Pioneer Square - Skid Row Historical District. </p> <p>The original pergola was designed by Julian F. Everett and built in 1909.
