Summary
There were several different types of army helmet worn by Sassanian soldiers. This rare helmet likely resembled the tall headdresses (kulah) depicted on Sassanian portrait seals and dates to the 6th century AD. It was originally discovered at Nineveh in northern Iraq and is today located in the Persian Empire collection of the British Museum.
