Noveske Rifleworks was founded by John Noveske in 2001.[1] Noveske is most known for producing military and competition grade barrels. The company sells such products as the KX3 muzzle brake, KX5 muzzle brake, the NSR rail system, and the Switchblock gas block system. The Noveske Rifleworks operations is located at Grants Pass, Oregon.[2] The company maintains several patents on their barrel manufacturing process, such as "Noveske Rifleworks extreme duty machine gun barrel".[3] Noveske is known to primarily manufacture AR-15 rifles and rifle components. Noveske, under the new President Mike Aland, has launched a new generation of N6 (AR10) rifles, an integrally suppressed rifle, and a new hand guard called the NSD.

John Noveske obtained his rifling skills from Chris Dichter, owner of PAC-NOR Barreling in Brookings, Oregon.[4] John Noveske started the company after his time in the Army.[5] He set up shop at his father’s garage. John expanded his business and moved his shop into a warehouse.

Founder John Noveske died on Jan 4, 2013 in an automobile accident, leaving behind a wife and three children.[6] John Noveske's wife, Lorina Noveske maintains a presence in the business and helps with its operations. Lorina Noveske appointed Mike Aland as President and CMO.
