Leuze-en-Hainaut is a Walloon municipality of Belgium, located in the province of Hainaut. It consists of the former municipalities of Leuze-en-Hainaut, Grandmetz, Thieulain, Blicquy, Chapelle-à-Oie, Chapelle-à-Wattines, Pipaix, Tourpes, Willaupuis and Gallaix. Its population is 13,223.
Famous landmarks
- Saint-Pierre College was erected in 1745 where an ancient Gothique church used to stand, having been destroyed by fire. The interior is sumptuous and includes intricate woodwork. The wooden panels, Louis XVth style, are where the confessionals are located, ornamented with different motives. The pulpit has Saint Peter sculpted in it and contains a master organ.
