to follow up, active listening is a 50/50 kind of situation, the more you know the better your message will be, as a manager however, it is your responsibility to deliver a clear idea of what you need from your team. you can't be giving around cryptic messages and then wonder why nothing is happening right

the art of body language is only enhanced by countless hours of work and errors, parents can showcase it the best, but jokes aside sometimes you won't be able to use words, especially during a heavy service, that's where non-verbal cues come in hand, it got so good with my old team that they even knew exactly what kind of coffee i wanted in the morning by just 2 hand gestures, one of my old members ( shoutout to Aziz) got so good we would use our own gestures to go through service

No body loves a critic, but criticism is what gives us a reality check when we are riding high. as a manager, you need to provide it as well to your team, good or bad, one good way to navigate this. ( constructive feedback ) or as one of my previous managers loved to call it ( a sandwich ) where you start with a good thing, sneak in the bad in the middle , and end it with a good note to keep the moral high
