Maybe aligning communication styles is not possible. Nor needed. If we with communication style mean preferences and personality that impacts the verbal, non-verbal and written communication. However, aligning on the project goals, structures and expectations is of course very important! But I think it can be done better with just understanding and respecting the different communication styles. Using both verbal, written and visualised communications helps a lot. Also open questions, active listening with productive responses and making sure all voices are heard. Sharing a "personal user manual" can be helpful to increase understanding of each other's styles. And make it easier to respect and leverage the diversity.

From there, I tailor my messaging to ensure everyone is aligned. I also use shared tools like project management software to centralize information, making it easily accessible in one place. Clear, written documentation of expectations helps prevent misinterpretations. Finally, I encourage open dialogue where everyone feels comfortable asking questions and clarifying details, ensuring alignment across the team.

Many team discussions run the risk of becoming unclear and useless because both the leader or the teammates use acronyms or specific words (very often in foreign languages). It may seem stupid but very often the people that aren't understanding those words don't ask for details (because they are shy or the don't want to show themselves as not up-to-date). So for every speaker is very important to frequently ask if the message was understood and if every single word has a known meaning
