To achieve this, three factors can be helpful: 1. Explore the Vision: Identify the goal, wish, or challenge, or what sucks. 2. Gather Data: Describe and generate data to enable a clear understanding of the challenge. 3. Formulate Challenges: Sharpen awareness of the challenge and create challenge questions that invite solutions. By effectively utilizing these factors, the "clarify" stage can be completed, leading to a comprehensive understanding of the problem or challenge at hand.

In the "ideate" stage of the FourSight model, use divergent thinking to generate innovative solutions to the defined problem. Avoid being judgmental or having bias, just explore various possibilities. To facilitate creative thinking, use techniques such as SCAMPER (Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to another use, Eliminate, Reverse).

The "develop" stage of the FourSight model is to refine and develop the most promising ideas generated during the ideation phase. This involves evaluating the feasibility, viability, and potential impact of each idea. You're going for the best fit not perfect here. Conduct a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis or cost-benefit analysis to assess the strengths and weaknesses of each idea and determine the best course of action.

Progress to the "implement" stage of the FourSight model to execute the chosen ideas and solutions effectively. Develop an actionable plan, allocate resources, and establish accountability to ensure successful implementation. I would also pressure-test this new big bet before allocating labor to it. It is also helpful to create a project management timeline using tools like Microsoft Project or Trello to outline key milestones, assign tasks, set OKRs, and track progress toward achieving the desired outcomes.

Clarifying, ideating, developing, and implementing are good process steps. Problems vary in scale so understanding how much we need to know before we start brainstorming is crucial. Thankfully with generative AI, clarifying a problem statement can be sped up. However ideating also requires sufficient awareness of best practices out there, as well as what has worked. This will help develop our ideal outcomes better, providing more potential for feasible implementation eventually. As such it looks like we could keep clarifying while ideating, developing and implementing. Knowing what does not work is as beneficial as the solutions, for future projects 🦾
