As a team leader, you need to be clear on the disruption and how it is impacting your team even BEFORE going to them with a plan. Spend some time thinking about all the impact then ask the question from your team, "what do you think will be the impacts?" Often a leader will overlook some of the impact from a disruption but the team will have some of those answers. Come together in a collaborative mindset and try to predict together all of the impact. Then create a plan to minimize the uncertainty through communication and transparency.
