Quando era Analista de P&D, tinha dificuldades em priorizar tarefas, e recebi um feedback do meu gestor na época, que clareou muito as coisas, e frequentemente uso em feedbacks, e funciona muito com colaboradores mais "juniores": - O que o chefe pede, primeiro! A medida que os colaboradores adquirem experiência, você os treina a "quebrar" a entrega final em pequenas entregas: frequentemente emprega-se toda a energia em um projeto que é prioritário, porém, outro projeto importante acabará atrasando, pois para fazer a entrega final, há inúmeras tarefas que devem ser realizadas com antecedência, a "linha crítica" do projeto.

Whether that team member is a direct report or a colleague, the best way I have found to keep priorities on track is through regular team meetings as a whole but also breaking projects into sub-groups and communicating clarity about their priorities within the larger framework but asking for agreement on these priorities from each sub-group. That way, everyone is clear on how their work and timelines contribute to the whole and what they need to focus on. Regular updates are essentail.

I use simple boxes in my 1:1s. - What are you working on now prioritizing a decision, stumbling point, or a win. - What do you see on the horizon and how are you proposing to rank the tasks. Good opportunity to align. - What is the big goal(s) you are working towards? Great opportunity to coach milestones and layer in training if needed.
