I spend a few hours each summer helping Color Coded Kids with numerous aspects of their chosen curriculum that week. Often we help expose them to: - security considerations in game design - what is PII data and what should I be storing - are there different regulations for ages by country or even in different states in the US? - what is MFA or two-factor authentication - password complexity versus length By building up a good security posture early on, it is helping them develop planning around security design and cloud storage for their projects. I have seen some real world results and changes in how they were writing the code and requesting information.

I regularly propose and present content and local tech events, tech camps and even monthly meetups that are done virtually. This led to running a 300 in-person conference for many years all funded by sponsors. I gain value back by learning from other presenters at any of the events on new topics or topics of interest.
