Explain how mindfulness is used to change habits, communicating to our limbic and reptilian brains rather than to our neocortex. Explain how our ego works through our subconscious mind and that it will defend itself from change if not convinced, at its subconscious level, that the new habit or change will make our life easier. It's about creating a culture where everyone feels valued, not just driven to achieve. This shift can be challenging but vital to a thriving team. As a leader, model the behavior you want to see. When your team sees you prioritizing well-being, they'll follow. It's about authenticity – walking the talk, not just talking it. Building a mindful culture takes effort, but the payoff is enormous: happier, more engaged employees committed to success.

Mindfulness is tool in a leaders arsenal. To be an effective leader, mentor, and teacher, you must connect with your people. One technique I have used is sharing my experiences and how I used the techniques of mindfulness to impact of how I saw stress, problem solving, and communications. In the role of a Mentor will vary depending upon the goals of the indivdual and the type of support he or she is seeking. In general, mentoring should focus on developing individuals to help them reach their full potential and meet the changing demands of their environment which providing the tools and environment they need to succeed. Listening is Key.
