One thing I have found helpful , setting clear goals and accountability and keeping regular check in for each goals work well for both side as individual gets feedback on time which helps him to improve and eliminate reworking and for myself development and improvement in productivity , Hence win win situation and and no surprises at later stage I totally disagree on blaming person on not holding accountability because as a leader helping people and coaching them for their accountabilities is prime responsibility , Working with good people is anyway good task rather improving someone is little bit tough so always challenge ourselves first to make other accountable
