Thank you to everyone who met us at the recent HC Wainwright Conference. We were thrilled by the strong turnout and interest in the company. We received a lot of questions and interest in the pending commercial launch of our ultra-long-range lidar sensor, Apollo and other key milestones. AEye's Apollo LIDAR dazzles in field testing at 1 kilometer! We've been out in the field this summer putting AEye's Apollo lidar system through its paces. Our customers and partners are impressed by what they see. Collecting high resolution data at very long distances is critical to improving automotive safety and other applications, such as security where our Apollo lidar is the perfect complement, or replacement for camera-based imaging systems, coupled with AI based decision making. Simply put, AI systems require high resolution data across a broad field of view to identify objects and threats from afar, and quickly react. This is especially important for motor vehicle safety when travelling at high speeds. Providing such high resolution at long distances requires clever software algorithms built on an optics system that is capable of collecting a lot of photons (light). AEye’s Apollo is built on a unique architecture that decouples the optics between the laser scanner and receiver (like a telescope with a very large aperture) that maximizes light collection. This is a key component of our SmartScan architecture that delivers best-in-class automotive-grade performance and reliability in the smallest form factor.
