About us
With 30 years in the industry, the Aviation Suppliers Association (ASA) is a not-for-profit association, representing more than 850 global member companies. Collectively, they lead critical logistics programs, purchasing efforts, and distribution of aircraft parts worldwide. ASA's Board of Directors and Corporate Officers focus the organization’s energies on regulatory and legal matters such as safety, international compliance, business promotion and ethical business practices that impact the aviation parts supply industry. Member companies include: distributors, suppliers, surplus sales organizations, repair stations, manufacturers, airlines, operators, and other companies that provide services to the aviation parts supply industry. The Association’s robust government affairs program allows for active communication with government agencies worldwide and the ability to bring members important regulatory, legal, and industry news. ASA is a leader in distributor assessments and is an accreditation organization under FAA AC 00-56. As a result of the Association’s accreditation capabilities, over 540 facilities have received global accreditation to ASA-100 since 1996. The Aviation Suppliers Association Certification Body (ASACB), is an ANAB accredited certification body for ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, AS9110 and AS9120 audits. Additionally, ASA is a leader in training and educational events with informative workshops, networking meetings and a comprehensive annual conference. ASA has been recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for Database Management and the Industry Voluntary Accreditation program.

The Aviation Suppliers Association (ASA) is pleased to see the release of the ASCIC Final Report And Recommendations To Prevent Unapproved Parts In The Aviation Supply Chain. Industry improvements are always welcome, and ASA will read the recommendations from ASCIC, and work with ASA member companies and industry partners to implement solutions that improve safety. ASA President Michele Dickstein greeted the report by saying “You have to respect people who are trying to improve the industry and review those recommendations.” Many of the ASCIC recommendations were previously announced by ASCIC representatives, and many of those recommendations represent endorsements of ongoing programs and effort by ASA and its partners to advance safety in the industry. To view the report: https://ow.ly/fmJS50TIg7S To learn more about ASA efforts to increase safety and reliability in the industry, please examine the ASA blog (https://ow.ly/AP3B50TIg7T), peruse the ASA Webinar Library (https://ow.ly/PmcL50TIg7V), and consider joining the Association and attending the ASA Quality Committee meeting in December (https://ow.ly/hrLn50TIg7U).
