So many excellent panels at the #APRR24 Thriving Families California conference this week! Our own Mary Hekl sat down with other agency leaders to discuss and share ways to build and strengthen our organizations in order to better serve families. Here were some of the key takeaways: -Agencies must diversify funding and seek unique ways to serve based on the specific needs of their communities and families. Examples: Mental Health; Wellness Programs; Transportation; Emergency Care; Family Resource Centers and more… -There is a need to break down silos, both internally and externally, and increase collaboration between agencies and between Resource & Referral and Alternative Payments. -How can we serve more and better? Utilizing AI and technology in the workplace and devising creative approaches to the work. Thank you to this incredible panel for sharing your knowledge and experiences. It was a powerful day focused on addressing critical mental health issues affecting our community, including Proposition 1 roll-out, the need for mental health funding, and innovative solutions to improve access to care.
