The City of San Diego received a national honor from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC): the 2024 Qualification-Based Selection (QBS) Award for the State or Local Government Sector. 🏆 This award recognizes agencies for their exemplary use of QBS methods for procuring engineering services for infrastructure projects. This is the second major QBS award received this year. Today, the City issued a Request for Proposals for the lease and renovation of the former restaurant located near the Spanish Village Art Center. In their proposals, interested parties must show how they plan to rehabilitate, operate and maintain the property. This includes offering high-quality food and beverage options for Balboa Park visitors. This comes as part of a larger effort to preserve Balboa Park as the City’s crown jewel.
