Heritage in Every Thread: Discover the Artistry of Kashmiri Shawls at Exotic India In our journey to collect and present #Indiancrafts to the world, we always end up collecting stories of people. One such quest took us to #Srinagar, in the workshop of a Kani shawl artist. As the gentle cold of April in the valley wrapped us, our artists welcomed us with cups of Kahwa, local cakes, and tales of how they had inherited the craft from their grandfathers, who started with selling the Kani shawl pieces outside hotels that hosted international clients on bicycles. From that day on, Kani shawl has become a craft with a niche collective of buyers and connoisseurs in India, Europe, and America, many of whom have graciously trusted Exotic India as their bazaar for this picturesque craft of #Kashmir.
