We're excited to welcome Chris Sambar to Public Storage as our new Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, he was President at AT&T Communications and led approximately 27,000 employees across network operations. Chris is a former United States Navy SEAL and has undergraduate and graduate degrees from the United States Naval Academy and the University of Southern California, respectively. Bigger is better when it comes to our newest facility, which opened last week along booming Northern Boulevard in Queens, New York! Standing 12 stories tall and developed from the ground-up between two existing facilities, this ambitious and complex project took years of dedicated planning and construction. Altogether this location is now one of our largest in the country, with more than 7,370 units and 431,000 net rentable square feet. We’re excited to be a part of the ongoing growth in this vibrant neighborhood. Thanks to all our team members who helped bring this awesome new facility to life.
