Enable content sharing for your LinkedIn Page

Last updated: 5 days ago

As a Page super or content admin, you can import posts from your organization’s RSS feed to share in a post directly on your Page.

Content sharing can help you efficiently post your content to your LinkedIn Page from external web sources including your organization’s websites, blogs, YouTube channels, and other RSS supported sources. You can share content manually or automatically to your Page.

Important to know

  • Sources you submit to LinkedIn through this feature must only contain content that you and your organization have the right to post on LinkedIn and must not violate anyone’s rights, including intellectual property rights, or the Professional Community Policies.
  • Your use of this feature is subject to the LinkedIn Pages Terms.
  • Review LinkedIn’s Copyright Policy to ensure the content you share is compliant.
  • If the option to set up content sharing doesn’t appear in your Settings, your Page might not yet be eligible for content sharing. To gain access to the feature, finish setting up your Page and start posting content regularly.

At this time, you can only add one RSS feed for each Page that you manage.

To enable content sharing for your Page on your desktop:

  1. Click Settings

  2. Select Manage Content Sharing

  3. Click + Add Source.

    • If you’re unsure about your RSS feed URL, add in your URL, and the system will suggest the link for your RSS feed.
  4. Add the title of your source, select a category, and add a link to your RSS feed.

  5. Choose how you’d like to share content on your Page.

    • Share manually: You’ll be notified each time a post is ready to be published.
    • Share automatically: Your RSS will automatically post new content from your external source. This option is currently available to a limited number of Pages.
  6. Click Add

Results

Once content sharing has been set up for your Page:

  • If you’ve selected manual sharing, you’ll be notified once the drafted post is available. The drafted post will include a link to the original source and might nclude a preview image. You can review the drafted Page post and edit it as needed before publishing it on LinkedIn.
  • If you’ve selected automatic sharing, content will be shared as soon as it's available. We recommend you use a description from your RSS feed for your post, or you can create one yourself.

Once published, the content will be shared with members on LinkedIn, like other Page posts. You can remove or replace your RSS feed URL at any time.
