Role; AWS IoT Architect Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid) Roles & Responsibilities: • Assess AWS platform running IOT based payloads supporting 3.3 million users & identify technical debt in current state. • Understand & document application architecture, technology landscape, current deployment cycle & activities performed. • Understand & document current tooling set up & integration of various pipelines for in-scope application & publish a report. • Review the code for quality, security, scale and stability for the in-scope applications. • Evaluate continuous delivery, monitoring, configuration management, security within DevOps pipelines and create a back log to implement continues delivery pipes using DevOps principles. • Review existing build & release process & also understand continuous testing set-up for functional & non-functional testing. • Review test data and environment set-up process. • Review current tools and infrastructure set-up for DevOps and recommend improvements. • Identify current Service Level Indicator (SLI) / Service Level Objectives (SLO) & measure current availability & reliability. • Identify the metric to monitor to ensure appropriate reliability. • Define how to calculate the SLI for the metrices. • Set a target as the SLO to compare against during use. • Define steady state as a measurable output for normal behavior of the platform. • Build hypothesis around steady state behavior to scale for supporting 2x growth to around 7.5 mn user bases in next 2 years • Need to identify availability 9s for the platform and draw a road map to achieve Shark Ninja target (99.99%) • Risk Analysis of the current platform to understand the break point. • Introduce variables that reflect real world events for identification of risk points, breaking points due to increase load and define the point of failure. • Build resilience to scale. #AWSArchietect #IoTArchietect #Devops #opentoeork #W2 #C2C #C2CVendors #Benchsales

🚀 Excited to Share a New Milestone Before 2024 Ends: Officially AWS Certified Solutions Architect (SAA-C03)! My strong background in networking and data center operations provided a solid foundation to deeply understand AWS concepts and visualize cloud solutions. Some of my key learnings includes: 🛠️ VPC Concepts: Designed on-premise-like cloud networks with subnetting, NAT Gateway, Internet Gateway, and WAF integration. 🌀 Global Accelerator: Learned how Anycast IP reduces latency by routing traffic through AWS’s private network to the nearest application server, using BGP preference rules for optimal traffic routing. 🗄️ Caching Mechanisms: Understood how caching and TTL work together to optimize performance and reduce server load. 🌍 Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure: Gained knowledge in transitioning on-premise data centers to AWS or building hybrid clouds using Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, and Transit Gateway. It was a fruitful journey that broadened my knowledge of cloud infrastructure and solutions. A special thanks to Stéphane for his well-articulated content, it really helped me visualize everything from a network-to-cloud perspective. Also, thanks to Jon Bonso for his amazing scenario-based solutions, which helped me map cloud solutions to real-world problems.
