Champion of Green Practices: Nonprofit Leader Guiding Missourians in Environmental Education and Sustainable Schools.
This post is for folks who can help K-12 students access help from MEEA's annual conference attendees. On Nov. 2, we'll broadcast Missouri students' calls to action, and ask the conference-goers to commit to action in real time. Instructions below, I'm happy to answer questions. Thank you and hugs to anyone who can help us get this opportunity in front of more students! Participate in our "Call To Action" from students via Padlet and Google Forms. We've set aside 30 minutes in the 2024 MEEA Conference schedule for a youth-led Call to Action!, a segment where young people can present their needs and concerns directly to our attendees in person or via a Padlet video. PROCESS: 1. Identify a current concern or need that could use community support. 2. Create a brief video using Padlet. Padlet is super easy to use! https://lnkd.in/g6rArW8k (Click the link for submission ideas and a sample video.) 3. Submit a Google Form so that we have your contact and project information. https://lnkd.in/gfT9yChz 4. During and immediately after our "Call to Action": Conference participants will watch our student presentations They will use a Google form to denote which projects they are able to support. You will be sent the names and email addresses of people who selected your project. You will contact them within two weeks (the faster the better) to provide additional information including logistics. This will allow you control over where and how resources are delivered to you ONE FINAL NOTE: If your students can travel to the Darr Agricultural Center in Springfield, MO at 4pm on Nov. 2, they can make their presentation in person. Please email Lesli Moylan at moylan@meea.org if you would like to learn more.

Committed to aiding CISO's drive effective communications with Board Members, C-Suite peers and Business Unit leaders through the development of a business objective centric Cyber Risk Management capability.
Pankaj Goyal and Denny Wan wan are thought leaders in evolving Third Party Risk Management. It had been my pleasure to work with these gentlemen on the FAIR Institute’s FAIR-TAM standard. I am very much looking forward to our panel next week at FAIRCON on this topic. It’s been a groundbreaking year in the third party risk management space and the need to move to new philosophies, strategic plans and tactical activities has never been greater. Some of the key topics I look forward to discussing include: strategic solution use segmentation, alternative provider thresholds, inside out data sharing, improving holistic business partner understanding, joint risk scenario analyses and the strategic value of having a common language to drive integration of TPRM, ERM, Cyber Risk Management and BIA. How do we get there? By adding the Q of course!
Let's re-think TPRM at the FAIR Institute FAIR Conference next week in Washington DC! Sept 30: FAIR-TAM Training by Vince Dasta and I Oct 1: Alla Valente and Cody Scott will talk about the 'State of the TPRM Market' Oct 1: Meena Martin and I will share a practical effective approach for TPRM Oct 1: I will discuss FAIR-TAM with Denny Wan Andrew Shea Let's bring the community together to solve this problem!

It's become increasingly challenging to recruit and retain the teaching staff essential for our sector's success. This recurring concern has been a focal point in discussions during the AELP Roadshows over the past six months. One of the critical issues we face involves urging the Government to address the counterproductive funding approach for all skills programs. The current system often hampers rather than supports our efforts, highlighting the need for a strategic overhaul. While advocating for systemic change, there are proactive steps within our control that can make a significant impact. Excited about Jane Knight FIEP's upcoming session at the AELP National Conference's Day 1 this Monday. She will delve into unlocking a valuable talent pool: parents re-entering the workforce. Successfully tapping into this demographic can be a game-changer in securing the teaching staff needed. Join us at the conference to explore innovative solutions and strategies to address this pressing issue. Let's work together to navigate these challenges and drive positive change within the sector. Senior Lecturer: Industrial Psychology (Optimal functioning; Wellbeing (Work life balance, Emotional intelligence, Performance; Organisation Sustainability; Employees with disabilities)
I will be unpacking high school teacher well-being in Namibia Is there a link between well-being, teacher performance and turnover intention (teachers wanting to leave the profession)? I strongly believe that if the teacher feels and functions well, their performance will improve and they will stay. I will be sharing snippets from this conference And as always, it doesn't end there- otherwise the story is very incomplete: My students and I will be sharing the findings and interventions that could come from this with the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture. And it does NOT also end there: Post this, we will avail our time, knowledge and skills to help the schools take the findings to practice (what can they do at individual and school level). This helps students add value to the communities they come from. In Academia- the story has to be told fully, with engagement and an EXTRA dose of excitement. #SIOPSA2024 #WellbeingResearch #UseResearchtoInformPractice #UNAM #DepartmentofPsychologyandSocialWork
